I find the Winchester 500XS to be great all around; I owned a single shot "bolt-action" pellet rifle prior to this one and I find this one 10X better.

    -Its accurate when sighted
-The recoil is minimum but enough to let you know it fired
-Very well built; isnt gonna fall apart after a shot
-Handles nicely but can feel heavy after some time
-Fairly cheap to buy and easy to use.

I have seen many complaints regarding how "stiff" the barrel is when you first use it; mine was smooth and easy from day one.

Very impressed and will recomend. (By the way... the fibre optic sight is NICE around sunset!)

I've owned the Winchester for a bit over a week now, and everyday, I can't wait to get outside and shoot. This is my first AirRifle, and I must say, it is a beauty. The Scope is Mounted with Thumb Screws for easy mounting and dismounting. It takes about 5 minutes to set your zero. Depending on your style, the Fibre Optics Iron sight is also very lovely. I don't know which one I like aiming with most of the time, Ironsight? or Scope? I was shooting quarters around 40 feet away, 9/10 hits on my fi ...

I bought the Daisy Winchester 500x and I'm generally satisfied. I am returning it and getting another one because my screws get loose after each shot.

I bought this Daisy Winchester 500x gun on vacation to just sit on the porch, drink, and shoot. i was very pleased with it so i left it there and baught another when i got home!

Out of the box i was imediately pleased with this gun, its just so well made, for the money. its weight is perfect and its solid except for the plastic trigger. the scope is very nice but near 200 feet something more powerful would be nice. it is fairly accurate but it has a good kick and because of the bad feel trigger ...

In this price range, BUY THIS GUN ! I had a Airmaster 77 for about 300 shots and I returned it to canadian tire. It could not equal the power of a canadian tire Beeman pistol P-17 (made in china) unles you pumped it at least 7-8 times. I picked this rifle up at walmart for 150 and there is NO COMPARISON ! I could not sight the cheap Remmington scope after 90 mins.. I sighted the Winchester in 20 mins. The scope is beautiful and easy to adjust - the 77 is cheap, flimsy and difficult.. The Remmy ...

I would deffintlely get this gun again i mean come on it s a winchester. enough said. Mine is pretty much useless now cause the rifleing is ruined probobly my fault from loading to fast but still i dont think the rifling should be that delicate. now its just for display. if i shoot it than its not accurate and 2 out of 3 times the pellet jams in the barrel.
Its very accurate and gorgous wood stock make it my first choice. easy to break the barrel. looks good on display its just awsome

This is one of the best air rifles I have owned. It has a european design with the whole action part of the rifle sticking out further on the stock. Two screws on the barrel to the receiver, one holds the barrel the other prevents the first one from coming undone. Reminds me of my air rifle that was made in Russia when I was a kid, also this one is made in Turkey not china.
Pellets fit very tight into breach, if you have every shot copperhead pellets you would remember the pellet inserter you re ...

The Daisy Winchester 500XS is a great airgun. It is as strong as you can get without needing a license. It has good range and with a little fiddling with the sights it is extremely accurate. It even has a built in rear button safety catch.

This is my first pellet gun and i love it. It has windage and elevation adjustments, and a nice sight set up with fibre optics. My only problems are that it is stiff to break the barrel and it was leaking a bit of oil when i left it (is this normal?). Also, the store i bought it from, (wholesale sports outfitters in calgary, AB) said the scope was sold separately. But then i saw that the writing on the box about the scope had been taped over, so i don't know if it was the store ripping me off o ...

Bought this gun today (Winchester 500xs) and its the 3rd gun I've had for air rifles in this price range. The other 2 are Daisy powerline 953 and Airmaster77. Out of all these 3 AG, 500xs is number one. The only problem I found was the cocking, it is very stiff for a weaker person.
First thing I noticed is its power. I shot a limestone and its shattered in pieces. Shot all kinds of cans, bottles, trees and much more. At about 25 meters away, the pointed pellet goes easily through a can of pop a ...

Daisy Winchester 500x - This is for first air rifle and I would have to say I am not displeased. It gives me joy everytime I press the trigger. The build quality of the rifle is excellent (I have the one from Turkey). It is very powerful for its class. The stock scope is very nice. It has adjustable focus settings for enhanced clarity. It also has adjustable windage settings. I am a pistol fan, thus I loved my CP sport and my CP 99 compact, but the day i got my Winny 500xs, I can't stop using ...

Overall the Daisy Winchester 500x is a great gun. This is my first pellet rifle and I love it. Even though this is my first that is mine I have fired many and this is by far the best. We took it out to my family reunion and drove a little bit out of the way so we could shoot it. From about 25 feet away we were always hitting 12 gauge shotgun shells that we found there. I also found a pencil there and my 14 or 15 year old cousin, who had never fired a gun before hit it with her first try. I shot ...
