I got a pair of Stretch Jeans Recently. Of course the price is high compared to the finish. Advantage is that you can ask for your own style. I asked for a cross pocket. Fitting was good. There were issues regarding the color difference and the finish. Especially the thread used . But I find they were customer friendly and respond to your complaint. I ordered jeans gave measurements I know work as I have had stuff made by other companies, the finished jeans measured what I had asked for but the cut of them and the fit was really poor the hips weren't symmetrical the right side seam was much more curved than the left, I contacted them, sent pictures they did eventually reply but didn't understand my concerns and were very unhelpful and just didn't want to know in the end, I just had to give up, I would never touch them again ever. They do not fix any problems. Ever. In my case they had a horrible dye job and requested pictures. When I sent the pictures they denied having received them but continued to ask me to send the pics...and they then suggested I send it to different addresses. “Stay Away!”

I have full hips and a smaller waist. It is impossible to find jeans at a store. All my measurements were fixed based off a pair of jeans I currently have except for the waist. So ideally they should fit the same, with the waist taken in a few inches. The length was off, which is not a big deal. The main problem was the hip and thigh area. Like previous reviewers, I also crossed my fingers that if I measured correctly, the trousers from make your own jeans would fit, but alas, no they didn't. The reason most of us use a site like this is because main stream products don't fit properly and it's very dissapointing to pay extra hoping to have the perfect fit then be let down. I read the reviews, but was hopeful that if I measured correctly they would fit. I measured several of my pants that fit to confirm the measurements. The jeans arrived in 4 weeks, the heavier black denim was perfect, the quality was good, the length was perfect. The fit was not. Even though the waist measurement is correct, they GAP 2 inches in the back and are 2 inches too small in front. I'm 5'10" and curvy fit, but no way to get the correct slope. We ordered two pairs of custom jeans which fit until we washed with cold water and air dried. Jeans shrank from a 38" waist to 36". Jeans shrank in the rise and in the length. I would have loved to continue using this company if they had made good on their product. But COMPANY DOES NOT REPLY TO EMAILS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. I ordered black stretch jeans and whilst the fit was ok, the colour was definitely NOT black- more a speckled grey. After numerous e-mails, I have received no response. i was considering buying a whole range of clothing from them and used the jeans as a test run. I will not be using them in the future. Ever. I am a repeat customer of MYOJ and have had no problems until now. Ordered 2 pairs of jeans with exactly the same measurements and when they arrived 1 pair was definitely smaller. Complained and was asked to send photos of the difference in size which was a half inch short upper rise and same for lower rise equals 1 inch tighter around the groin. Due to the fact that I am 6 foot tall I find shop jeans just don't fit.(never have) Brands all have their own cut but never really properly fit. So when I tried MYOJ about 5 years ago I was pleasantly surprised to find that they really do make the jeans to your exact specifications. Have several pairs now and so has my mum and partner. Read every piece of every direction, filled out all the information, CHECKED IT TWICE! Long wait for pants. Arrived and the rise was all wrong. Fits so bad they can not be used. I had the same problem they actually got 2 measurements wrong.... the inseam was so short they can be worn as capri's... I was emailing with Pearl and she did nothing for me said that it was my fault i measured incorrectly...AND I DID NOT!!! she will not answer my emails now.... They are horrible i would NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL..... BAD BAD SERVICE

I was highly reluctant at first to try out a website where you can actually design and tailor make basically your own jeans! Jeans to me, are my staple across my wardrobe. They have to fit perfectly! And I must say when I saw the cost of a pair I was worried that they wouldn't be perfect. Honestly I love them! However I do think for the same price I could have bought a brand new pair in a store which would have fit me just as well. (read more)

I ordered a cotton fine twill sport coat from the site. The price seemed reasonable enough. Took just over two weeks to get my order. For the fabric, I picked khaki. But when my order arrived the color and material was different than I was expecting. The color of the jacket was quite a bit lighter than traditional khaki. Read through the review for the company. Notice that people either love them, or hate them. Look at the testimonials on their site - nothing but five star ratings. Look at the reviews on this site and others for MakeYourOwnJeans - and wonder who wrote the positive reviews? If you are lucky you get something that is fair quality and somewhat to size. I recieved my first order in 4 weeks. I need to review some measurements but for the rest I' m quite happy with the pants. (took them on save ;-) ) The only negative point is that the jeans where to long. Can someone tell me if I need to measure the length from top to the bottom or from the bottom of the waistband to the bottom of the jeans? Well I ordered my Leather jacket, thought it was American but eventually found out they were Indian. The Jacket came quality was OK (just) but it was only $150. Ordered a Large got a large and it was at least 3 sizes too small. I spent 2 -3 weeks getting increasingly ridiculous emails from them saying that it was all my fault, all signed by Pearl. I ordered a pair of made to measure jeans from these folks. After some time and a couple of missed emails (they ended up in my spam) - not their fault but watch out! They eventually arrived (from Mumbai in India. I ordered a unwashed Jeans there and they where doing very well. The fit is very good and also the quality and the details. I gave the measurements from my old jeans to them and they where adding material on the right places. There where also some custom things I wanted to have which are not shown on the website, like outer pockets. They does it for me without charging an extra fee. Thats realy cool. I received a pair of jeans from this vendor today. I followed instructions to the T. Measured twice. Had my girlfriend check my measurements. Fit was totally wrong - I don't know who they were making these jeans for, but they certainly didn't use the measurements I provided. I don't like the skinny-lowrise-stretchy type of jeans they now sell everywhere. Since I have a really hard time finding a simple pair of straight and comfortable jeans below 200$ I decided to give 'make your own jeans' a go... despite reading lots of negative feedback on this company. Since there is so much negative feedback I was fully prepared to have wasted 70A$ for the try but... I love them! They're very soft and pretty much what I was after. Be warned though! My complaint has nothing to do with how the jeans fit - but with the workmanship and the fact that I ordered straight leg and was sent boot cut. Glad you are happy with your jeans but I would only order one pair at a time - your luck will run out!!!!

I had a favorite jeans when I was younger and I outgrew it. It was good that Make Your Own Jeans had an option to revive my old favorite jeans for me by cloning it. What was the best thing was I can choose the fabrics that I wanted now with the my favorite jeans' designed and style. When you order from Make Your Own Jeans it seems that you'll either have a great experience and get the perfect item of clothing, or you'll have an absolutely horrible and disheartening experience. I had a similar experience, where they over charged me for my jeans on my debit card and tried to charge $3000 on a credit card of mine that kept saying the payment was denied. I sent them several emails about this and they kept blanketing my complaint with the notion that "they use one of the highest recognized currency exchange system" and it's essentially not their fault that they over charged me. Their customer service was AWFUL. It's really a shame because their product was great for my boyfriend. They will not be getting any more business from me other than negative reviews.

I ordered a linen jacket from these folks. Good points: The lining was of good quality, the workmanship of the sewing was excellent, and the sleeve length was correct. I ordered a pair of jeans for my hard to fit son. I had planned on ordering the first pair to see how it went, and then use or adjust that pair to order 4-5 more pairs for him. On their order form it flat out states: Are these body measurements or garment measurements? I said 'BODY MEASUREMENTS'. I purchased a suit which ended up costing upwards of $300. I got measurements professionally done and had them follow exactly to specifications. The suit came and it was skin tight, buckled strangely in front and could barely breath in it. I had my credit card company dispute the charge with this company as I could not get them to refund me. They did email me responses offering to make me MORE pants for 30% off. They always ended with "we hope you will cooperate with us." I was refunded my requested amount by my credit card company shortly after I presented my copies of the contact I'd had with Make Your Own Jeans.

“Will not correct mistakes....”

Have ordered five pairs of pants from them and two had significant errors (in measurements, weight of material). Have found it impossible to get them to address these issues. They basically make it a huge hassle for you, then, ultimately, even when you do everything they ask to document the errors (send pictures, etc.), they just refuse to do correct the mistakes. In my 56 years, I've never had this experience with any other company. Very disappointing, and that's the polite word. (read more)

I sent measurements per their specifications. The jeans I got were 1/2″ to 3″ off in many areas. Multiple emails to them regarding the problem get boilerplate responses or “We didn’t get your previous email due to technical difficulties, please resend. I ordered jeans from them last year and they were great. This time I ordered a pair of shorts and a pair of jeans, providing measurements of course. The shorts fit fine, the jeans are 1 inch too small in the thigh, 1/2 inch too small in the waist and hip. Certainly not made to the measurements I provided. Too bad, I loved the first pair. I wish I didn't even have to give them 1 star. I placed an order from them for my girlfriend 7 weeks ago. After 5 weeks I emailed them to see how much longer it would be. I received a semi-literate email explaining that they were waiting for me to confirm a measurement.
