We really liked the look of this Cannon with it's smoked glass lid and double oven and stainless steal finish. Unfortunately its all looks and a rotten cooker! The hob is the biggest problem, the burners are so close to the bottom of your sauce/frying pans that the gas doesn't burn properly and can go out! The top over doesn't get very hot and the grill cooks unevenly. The main oven is also very uneven in cooking temperature and can take ages to cook sometimes! (read more)

Owned a Cannon Chester for a few years, same problem as other reviewer. Ignitor on bottom oven appears to have gone, so gas flow wont increase to heat the bottom oven. The ignitor keeps clicking even when the oven is lit aswell. same problem with top grill/oven with the knob sticking!. Seems like common faults with Cannon Chester ovens??? (read more)

After purchasing this cooker, enamel chip from top strip came away within
6months.Oven light gave out in one year. After 18months most enamel on doors
flaked, and exposed metal rusted.Knob on grill/top oven stopped working after one year. After 2 years ignitor to main oven malfunctioned. This is easily the worst cooker I have ever owned, and Cannon will never have my
custom again.

I bought Cannon as I thought it to be a reliable make. I took the offer of 5 year parts guarantee and had it fitted by a Corgi engineer.
I have just contacted the cookers service department and they want £99.00 for their engineer to fix it, with a 90 day warranty - do they think it will die again in this period?
As a pensioner I cannot afford this so I now have a cooker that does not work - thank you Cannon.
Please do not purchase this product.

They need to make better shelves i.e. all stainless steel [I've had other cannon cookers for many years with no trouble.]

Worst Cook I have ever owned!!!
Where do I start!!! a catelogue of faults!!! and here is my list:
1. On delivery I noticed enamel already cipped on top
2. Safety lid stopped working
3. Grill wouldn't light - when engineer had been - ignition didn't work so had to light with matches
4. It developed a gas leak and was cut off for my safety - no cooker for four days
5. Gas hob nobs kept breaking and wouldn't turn
6. Gas top function even seized
7. Doesn't cook evenly
8. Gas too close to pans - gas burners don't burn correctly
9. Its impossible to clean around the top with its surround
10. Bottom of oven started to go rusty and fall off
11. Main oven door became loose after less than a year
12. Top oven/grill door snapped off on one end
13. On plugging this time it kept tripping my electric safety switch so I plugged it in on another source and it went with a bang!!!
the list goes on but haven't got the patience now to carry on
13. After paying out £90 every time I decided to take out insurance - if it can't be fixed then old for new - but engineer keeps saying he can fix it. Wonder what his verdict will be today!!!
