    jmc furnitur trading and classics in stock and modern reproductions are re all not worth the money you send them.

    they take the money and never delivery and when refunds are asked for they stop responding completely.

    avoid at all cost

    Keep fighting if you are awaiting a refund - we made the mistake of paying JMC Furniture by bank transfer but finally after 6 months of battling with them we have received our refund.

    JMC Furniture - YOU SHOULD AVOID!

    We ordered a coffee table and it arrived late and damaged. They promised a replacement part over several months which never materialised and when we asked for our money back guess what, they stopped responding t our emails and phone calls.

    Legal Action commences via our Credit Card company.

    Ordered a LC4 in the Summer sale for £223.30, it arrived within 2 Weeks, delivery was free and to my surprice it was made in Italy.
    Just after I ordered I checked the reviews for JMC Furniture and I was shocked, but the only problem I found is that they gave me a wrong delivery date, but 2 phone calls later it was cleared.
    The LC4 looks and feels good, the leather is fine and I'm happy especially as it was this cheap.

    JMC Furniture failed to deliver the chairs I ordered and I ended up contacting my credit card company for a refund.

    Modern Classic Direct = JMC.
    Purchased a bubble chair in Feb 2007. It soon arrived but broke when first used. They replaced this chair but this chair broke in the same location after 2 months. They promised to replace this chair after "a design flaw had been sorted out". Despite dozens of calls and emails since, I'm still waiting for a response. Today I began legal proceedings against them.

    I would not advice you use JMC Furniture (or Modern Classics Direct / Italian Classics Direct). If my experience is anything to go from, you will only be disappointed.

    JMC were hard to get hold of, unfriendly customer service; easy to get hold of for orders but no customer service available weekends and also no direct tel no for customer service which is crazy!!!; When you call they just take a message for someone in a different building to call back but they never do; I could contact them via e-mail but this is slow... when reporting faults they want e-mail photos showing the fault and do not listen to the customer - this is not good service..     I discovered via the web that Modern Classics Direct and Italian Classics Direct are both part of JMC furniture. Although I eventually received my table after 3 months of waiting, having initially been told it would be two weeks as it was in stock. I found them to be unfriendly, unhelpful, and they did not return calls or emails. When the table did arrive the delivery was a shambles.     From JMC Furniture we ordered a Florence Knoll Arm Chair in January 2006 and to this day we are still waiting, they tried to get us to change to a brown chair not the white that we ordered.

    I've had nothing but problems with them. It's been over a year now, and I've still not had a refund.

    I have now got a proper address for JMC Furniture, so my second attempt at action may be a success.

    I ordered an Eames chair and ottoman from JMC Furniture, and I was very disappointed with the quality of the goods when they arrived. The metalwork was very bad, and the head rest wouldn't stay on. We returned the chair and asked for a refund, which is still unresolved. This has been going on for over a year.

    I ordered an Eames inspired chair (Walnut wood) from this company. Once I placed the order and paid I was told it would take six weeks to be delivered, but it ended up taking 5 months.

    When the chair finally arrived after 3 apparent delivery attempts (having taken off three full days off work to wait for the delivery).
    I took the chair out of its packaging and it was not walnut wood. It was a fake effect paint job, painted on the wood to try and look like walnut. Very badly done too. Having ...

    I ordered an 'incredible quality leather' chair from JMC Furniture, only to find on delivery that it was in fact synthetic. They offered me a refund, which seemed reasonable, but after a month, during which they ignored every email and message I left (of course no-one ever answers the phone), I eventually received only a partial refund. After having read other people's reviews however, I feel lucky to have got any money back at all!

    We are absolutely gutted. My boyfriend and I have just moved to our first flat and struggled to scrape together money for a sofa from them. After waiting for almost 3 months, sitting on the floor eagerly anticipating the arrival of our first piece of furniture, we now realise this will never materialise! I have tried over and over again to contact JMC Furniture. However, surprisingly no recall! Is there ANYTHING we can do?!

    JMC Furniture is a humbug company, they do not deliver ordered goods, even though they are fully paid for. Do not trust them if they offer a refund. I am about to have to drag them - if they at all exist - to court in order to get money back from an undelivered order. I'd call people like this an Internet set back.

    I ordered a Tulip chair from JMC Furniture, and after 6 months the chair was not delivered. I claimed a refund, and after two months I'm still waiting. It is almost impossible to contact them. They never reply to my emails, and when they answer the phone they always say 'it will be sorted out by the end of the week'. Shocking, non-existent customer service.
