    I ordered my goods 2 MONTHS ago, I didn't worry to start with, as I thought a delay was caused by a Royal Mail strike, but nothing came for a month. I tried to ring but there was either no reply or busy.I e-mailed them and received a reply stating that the goods would arrive shortly and, a month later, they still haven't. To be honest, also looking at the other reviews, this website seems to be a con.

    I ordered a part which was listed as in stock. The delivery time is 5-7 days, but after two weeks i contacted them to find out what was going on. They replied, informing that they were waiting for the parts and that they would receive them in a week, and that they would send them straight out. two weeks later i contacted them again, only to be told that it would take another 10 days before they got the parts in. i cancelled the order at this point, sceptical that i'd ever get my parts.     Oh dear! Not just me then :-( I ordered after finding the website competitivly priced, with free postage advertised (but not really!) Ordered after they confirmed they would refund posteage- they insist they have but my bank balance says differnetly! And over a month after card was charged -still not parts.     This has been a nightmare. I ordered the goods on the 17th October (6 weeks ago!) - apparently they were in stock with 5-7 day delivery. Initially I did get responses to my emails asking for an update, but recently they have been ignored. Customer service don't answer their phone either, and the only way I've managed to talk to someone is to phone the shop.
    I would not order from them again - EVER!

    Without doubt, this is the WORST online retailer I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with. Would have given them 0 stars if it was possible.

    Placed an order for "in stock" items on 22/10/09. Credit card was debited full amount shortly after and I've still only received 1 item of 4 with no communication about the other 3 items. Tried emailing and calling without success (no email response. no answer to phone. fobbed off by shop).

    Will be contacting Trading Standards and raising complaint. ...

    Do not even go there. This company is the biggest joke ever!!!! Ordered something that was supposed to be in stock and waited a month before i cancelled order as they could not get hold of item from there supplers. So the item was no way in stock. Now thinking of claiming against them as this is fraud.

    Same story as most people - over 2 months wait for an "in stock" item - credit card already charged - no one answers the phone - found the reviews here too late - hope it isn't too late for you - avoid

    I really wish I had read the reviews first.
    *******DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE*******

    An incredibly poor/non exsistent and rude service.
    Was told that my goods had arrived, only one part sent to the store and it was the wrong one.
    Returned this and asked for my money back but was told this had to be done via customer services line which is NEVER answered!
    Still waiting for refund and in the meantime they have sent me the wrong rucksack cover again.
    Finally managed to get through to the Windo ...

    I can see that there are a lot of feedbacks regarding this retailer, but I have used them on a number of occasions and have not had any problems. I know they stock lots of wetsuits, which is why i made the purchase from the site.

    This place is a joke, i ordered a few parts for my sons bike and i was waiting 18 days and i tried to contact them and was unable to get through to ANYONE on the phone. It just kept saying the person you were trying to reach was unavaliable. Couldnt leave a message, wasnt put through to anyone else. Its a complete shambles!

    So i e-mailed them and STILL there was no reply to that either, i never did get an e-mail reply from them. So i spent the whole of the next few days trying to ring them and ...

    We purchased what turned out to be a defective shirt from this company and the after sales service was atrocious. After they agreed to accept return of the shirt in a phone conversation, we sent it in only to have it returned marked 'not warranty'. The sale of goods act allows us to deal with such obtuse attitudes, but we shouldn't have to. When we finally get this sorted, there is no way on earth that I will go near these people again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

    Well, I wish I'd read here first.

    I've just got back on a bike after a small lapse of 20 years so needed a few bits to add to my rust bucket bike.

    Ordered on the 30th September and made a point of all items showing in stock on the website - in fact I even changed two items from my initial choices as I realised they said that they were out of stock.

    Order comprised 2 tyres, 2 tubes, a track pump, a mini pump and a puncture repair kit.

    Looking at lot of the comments , I feel its not a fair reflection of the retailer. I have bought items from bonthonebikes over few times , and I hardley had problem , my advise is before you buy , just call one of advises and ask for more detail and delivery options , you can eliminate lot of the problems , Good luck , I recommend bonthronebikes

    Bonthrone Bikes/ SBR Sports are the worst online retailer I have ever dealt with.
    I bought an item in good faith with a 5-7 working day delivery committment.
    They charged my card immediately.
    When it showed "Awaiting shipping" after 10 days I asked to cancel my order.
    They agreed to refund but failed to do so.
    I raised a dispute with my credit card company and finally got my refund seven weeks after placing my order.

    Another unhappy customer who wishes she'd looked at this review page before buying with Bonthrone. Placed an order on the 11th August and received part of the order mid September after sending them a prompting email, despite everything seemingly being in stock (it was only some bar end plugs, armwarmers and hi-vis stickers).     these people are a nightmare! Ordered in good faith to find out that the item was not in stock at all and infact they told me they didnt know when they would get more in. I cancelled the order.
    just got my card statement, and they have charged me for an item they know they do not have and will not get.
    Trying to get through on the phone is difficult at best... wish me luck when I do battle with their customer services tommorow!!! I wonder if I'll get my money back. Most unhappy.

    I wrote a review on 26th august about bonthrone bikes - I say a review, more of a rant!
    Well it is a few days from October, communication has dried up from and I still have a bike with missing parts.
    A new poster has described their service as 'top notch' because they delivered on time - since when was doing what you have paid for be top notch.

    Picked the bike up with 20% off and the turned up next day to a lovely new bike for me to ride away on.....

    I honestly cannot understand where all these bad comments are coming from !!!! My experience of Bonthrone Bikes was unbelieveable with top notch customer service.

    Wish I'd read the reviews on here before I ordered. Placed my order on 19th august - website showed item was in stock, delivery in 5-7 days. It was a present for my husband's birthday at end of Aug, and still no sign of it. When I track the order it says 'Awaiting shipping'. Have emailed several times and had unhelpful responses to two, saying they are aware of a delay.
    The worst customer service I have encountered. Will not use Bonthrone Bikes again, and will warn my cycling friends about them ...

    Placed an order for an item I could find nowhere else, got charged immediately and was charged £4.99 for delivery in 5-7 days! Every time I go to the website it is still says "Awaiting Shipping", get through to help desk 1 call in 20 - no queuing your call just get "number unavailable".
    Tried to cancel and was rudely told my item would be with me in 5 days, because I "couldn't see what he could on his system", still waiting. Really frustrated as I paid a premium for both the item and the p ...
