“Rubbish Customer service”

We ordered a jumper in an XL in plenty of time to get before Christmas. Top arrived and inside was a Medium, they then wanted a photo of incorrect item, then had to return item and we asked for a replacement. Constantly contacted their customer service team over the following week, saying wanted a replacement and in time for Xmas. I ordered a lot of goods from Thehut.com for wedding gifts and christmas presents this year. One of the main reasons I used this website was that they had such a great range of unique/quirky gifts. Also the added benefit of next day delivery. It has now been three weeks and I have still not received my goods. “Inept customer service”

Really you could not get a worse company for deplorable customer service, they make you jump through hoops and prolong simple solutions because they have no intention to solve issues when they rear their ugly heads. I sent back items of clothing that were not acceptable, too small and "marked with stains", I sent them back to the returns address within one hour of actually receiving them, and now it begins....... The worth customer service ever.... I should have read the review before, they do not know how to handle customer queries.. there message system is not working well and most of the time you can not use it, and they don't have another way yo contact them.... “Don't shop here”

I bought a orginal penguin jacket which was blue and purple it cost me £47.99 and about 7 days later I received the package and it was the completely wrong one. I tried to ring there number it doesn't work and then I spoke to them on Facebook and it took them 2 days to reply to my message and it took 3 weeks for me to get my money back So I would not buy anything off this sight !!… Read Full Review

“Bogus stock”

I placed on order on 31/8 and got an email acknowledging. Next day I got an email 'confirming' my order had been cancelled! I tried to phone them on the number advertised on their website during advertised opening hours but clearly there are no 'opening hours' as this number just plays a recorded message and disconnects your call! “Customer service not up to standard”

I ordered a Braun 799CC-6 Clean and Renew Wet and Dry on the 7th of august and paid for express delivery on the 8th when it item was still showing awaiting pick at lunch time. “Don't do it. ”

I can not believe a company in this day and age does not have a telephone number I can contact them on, with a simple enquiry or a complaint. I ordered two tablets. I placed an order, had to verify my address for some reason before they would even place the order. I sent them the documents and it took them 72 hours before they dispatched the items. “Will never see that refund”

In February 2014 I purchased a summer jacket from The Hut. They sent me the wrong size so I sent it back using registered mail. Since I live in the Netherlands I had to pay for the return shipment and apparently they refund a portion of the return shipment fee. First of all, I've never seen that money returned to me. Can I suggest calling your bank or PayPal if you paid via them? I ordered a parka jacket last week from thehut and recieved an email 5 days later saying that due to a 'problem with processing my payment' my order would be 'cancelled soon'. I checked my bank account and the same day the email was sent to me, the amount was debited from my debit card. Essentially the email was sent and the payment put through.

I called my bank and spoke to someone there and they arranged to cancel my debti card just in case and dispute the transaction because I did not (and will not as my order was cancelled) recieve the goods that I paid for. I am giving TheHut a few days to respond to me, but I will probably send through my payment confirmation, the email I recieved saying my order was cancelled and correspondence I sent to TheHut to my bank and they will hopefully be able to get me a refund on my behalf. Hope this helps.

“Selling more then they have in stock”

Pre-ordered special edition of the game. Kept customer waiting and not contacting to inform the situation of the order. I had to send alot of query until i got reply that they had problem with supplier. Month and half later i receive package that contains normal version of the game and after my query they gave me code to make it "special edition", still no collective items. No compensation of waiting for what they dont have. Worst of all they didn't contact customer if they want to cancel… Read Full Review

Beware with this company "next day delivery means the day after they decide to dispatch the product which will probably not be the same day they send the email to tell you it has been dispatched! I recently purchased a vacuum cleaner from The Hut and as they were offering free "next day delivery" by Yodel. As I have had dreadful experiences with Yodel I payed extra for the Premium "next day delivery service" by DPD. Buyer beware of this site. They will lure you in with promises of great deals and then not deliver. I ordered some underwear on a recent offer which state you would receive a free pair of jeans. To be fair the underwear was quite expensive for what it was but I weighed up the deal and figured that including the jeans it was a good deal. I received the underwear but the jeans did not arrive. “Paypal payments always get cancelled”

Paypal payment always get cancelled. Since april 4 was having problems with hut.com, terrible website, can you actualy buy anything from there?! If you want to get your password reminder you will just get a message saying that you don't have an account there! And that happens all the time now. “Rating speaks for itself.”

I would agree with the negative reviews here. The idea that saving a small amount with The Hut goes out the window when you consider the poor customer service, pathetic delivery times and just general bad business practices. They are all about money grabbing and can't even be specific about the availability of a product. “"The Hut" are Pants”

The way The Hut sell is to entice you into bulk buying for the discounts. I bulk bought several pairs of Bench boxer shorts. By the time I got round to the needing to add the last pair to my wardrobe it had passed 12 months. That pair was miss-stitched so they fell apart. Never worn and I informed The Hut. They couldn't care less. Even though by law they must sell goods fit for purpose they don't care. £10 Bench boxers never worn in the bin.
