“Shockingly bad customer service”

I ordered 2 of the same item on 27th Nov - Christmas presents for children. One arrived on its own in a box about a week later, with no despatch note. As far as The Hut was concerned, the order was dealt with, even though I had only received half my order. “Two broken pots from The Hut”

I first ordered an item (a teapot) from them on Oct 1. It is now Nov 19. I have since received two broken teapots and series of confusing emails from them. After I received the second broken teapot, I requested a replacement. They never got the message, even though there is a record of it in their unwieldy "Customer Service Contact Centre." So I take up the offer of 'Buy the camouflage shorts' & reiecve a Brace soul padded jacket for free!! Shorts ordered & jacket ordered in size L.. Package arrives - shorts are ok Jacket is size M. I had ordered a DVD from them and had no idea that it was considered a different region. I never knew of any dvd's wouldn't be watchable by region. Why would they sell a dvd to someone in the US, that clearly will not work. And when I requested to return it. given that I was never able to actually watch it or use it, they said they could not sense it wasn't in "mint condition". I have now had two issues with this. First time was I placed an order which was above the amount it was stating got me free delivery. I got to checkout and was being charged. I placed the order and thought, I'll raise it as a query and they'll correct the error but no I was basically told I was wrong and it hadn't said that amount, the free delivery threshold was higher and I hadn't met it. “Don't Use. Customer Service is a Joke”

We ordered a Dyson vacuum and paid £250. A good price for the advertised item and it was delivered quickly... except the item delivered was not the one that was ordered- it was an inferior model. There is no contact number for customer service- the only contact is via email. Customer Services are not reachable and reply to you with a queries long after your emails. There is no phone number to call either. I brought a jacket that was allegory size medium but in fact small. Had to request redound as company don't do exchanges! I ordered another one bigger size . Top arrived and inside was a Medium, they then wanted a photo of incorrect item, then had to return item and we asked for a replacement. I ordered a lot of goods from Thehut.com for wedding gifts and christmas presents this year. One of the main reasons I used this website was that they had such a great range of unique/quirky gifts. Really you could not get a worse company for deplorable customer service, they make you jump through hoops and prolong simple solutions because they have no intention to solve issues when they rear their ugly heads.
