After a few years of pause, I returned to Cinema. They increased the number of titles and their service is much much better. Website design is great. Shipping is better and also costumer service is improved. I definitely recommend.

Was previously with Amazon / Lovefilm but disliked their tax avoidance and general philosophy so switched to cinema paradiso. Much better front end to navigate and find decent films (instead of the usual dross) and in managing my account. So far, very swift delivery and return, discs all OK, I primarily rent blu-ray. I seriously have had no problems! Would recommend. I note most of the negative reviews appear to be from 2013 - maybe they have upped their game.

Used to be a happy customer at Lovefilm until Amazon took over. Now i am a happy Cinema Paradiso customer. On monday i returned a film to Amazon and one to Cinema Paradiso. On wednesday i got 2 new films in the post from Cinema Paradiso, and Amazon send me a mail they got my films. No new films yet from Lovefilm/amazon. ALso the website from Cinema Paradiso is a lot better and easier to navigate than the Lovefilm one. And they pay taxes.

The selection of films on offer is outstanding. I have an interest in some quite niche areas of film: Latest Releases, Rental Package 1-6, Gift Subscription and having functionality to watch trailers. Everything I have looking for has been available here & one thing which I personally like is 30 days free trail period for which £4.89 per month is not too much. I could not get this range from any other film rental service.

Signed up for a cheap offer (3 months for £6) before reading the reviews here, which would have probably put me off, but glad they didn't. Had no problems at all getting new DVDs and always recognised as received the day after. Like with any rental service, if you only have 10 brand new releases on your list you're not going to get much joy but if you have a good number then you'll be fine. No complaints so far and may look into extending my membership after the offer has ended.

I have only been a member of ScreenSelect and Cinema Paradiso online DVD rental so far, but Cinema Paradiso is easily the best. The website is very easy to use, and it has many advanced features that make the experience more fun too. One of my favourite features is the Mini-list, that sits on the right side of the window and enables you to change the order of your priority list by dragging titles around.
In terms of value, I am currently on the 4 DVD's a month (2 at a time) for £7.99. I believe this is one of the best deals around at the moment. DVD's are sent out very quickly and an email lets you know when one is on its way. Also, I have never had any problems with scratched discs.
The only problem I have with Cinema Paradiso is the lack of titles I receive from the top of my priority list. I know this is a common issue (it caused me to leave ScreenSelect) down to demand of popular titles, but I'm sure the company could spread the more popular titles out to make sure customers get high priority titles on a less occasional basis.
Overall, Cinema Paradiso is an excellent online DVD rental option.
