I have had this cooker for a few years now, I too loved the look of it and thought Leisure was a good name. I noticed straight away that it wasn't as hot as my old cooker and I had to turn up the temperature to get anything cooked. I had an engineer out because I thought it was faulty, he changed a part but it was still the same afterwards. The grill was the same, low temperature. The grill hasn't worked for over a year now, I had to buy a toaster!! It lights and comes on when you hold the nob down, but as soon as you let it go, it goes off. On the odd occasion when I crave cheese on toast I actually sit on the floor holding the nob down until it finally melts some cheese! Also the top oven often goes out on it's own while cooking and you don't notice until you go to check progress that it's still uncooked/raw. I think I'm just going to get rid of it now and look for a new cooker. Obviously keeping away from Leisure ones. It's such a shame as it looks lovely in my kitchen.

i liked this cooker the moment i saw it. at first every thing worked fine i was really impressed. one the best things about it was the grill everything cooked quickly and evenly. now its a bloody useless piece of kit the grill takes a hour to light ( ok i am exagerating ) seriously it will not light at all for a few secounds, when it does and after holding the control button down as per instructions for 15-20 secounds it goes out again. i repeat this process over and over. after a few minutes the grill finally stays on but the heat produced is useless and i now have too fry every thing. i will call a engineer to help resolve this has i am out warrenty. any ideas ?

Like others, I bought this cooker (GR6GVCP) 3 years ago, mainly because it looked great. Soon after purchase the main oven's thermostat was replaced - I'd attempted to cook dauphinoise potatoes, which cooked for hours and were still semi-raw! Earlier this year, I finally capitulated and booked a service engineer, under the warranty, to establish why the top oven kept going out in the middle of cooking. I had put up with this fault almost since purchase. He "adjusted" things, and also discovered that the gas cut-off pin in the door was missing. However, there has been no real improvement, and yesterday was the final straw. I was trying to cook a big pre-Christmas lunch for family, and needed to use both ovens. The roast spuds were in the top oven, which went out 4 times before I found room in the main oven. I really think Leisure need to do something about this sub-standard design, and will try complaining to them direct. I cannot believe I didn't check out reviews before purchase, but maybe the cooker was fairly new then, in 2010.

I have had this oven 3 years now, and 3 years of bother, top oven always goes off on its own so stopped using, bottom oven temp is never ever quite right, the main oven door never closes with out a mighty bang and them I am sure there is still a gap.....I should have 3 years ago returned this faux oven back but as I had a bereavment it never got done.....After reading other reports it is clearly a fault with the build of the oven at peoples expense, hust wish I read them before

We bought this cooker in 2011 and I must say I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. First to go was the ignition for the grill, when I looked at it the ignition lighter had dropped down. So we had to by a lighter to operate the grill. Next to go was the grill itself we can’t light it at all now when we release switch the grill cuts out. So no grill now, as for the oven it’s very slow. Made a mistake should have kept my fan assisted oven and gas hob.

the oven takes ages to cook anything, all cooking times go out the window.the top oven from new wont stay alight and if it does goes out whilst in use shortly after.the doors sound tinny when shutting, overall a very poor oven, looks the part but shockingly bad. as an annoyed gas engineer i will not be recommending this particular cooker to anyone.

I actually own one of these and I would not recommend it to anyone
It takes forever to cook anything the shelves are too small .The grill wont stay on which I might say has not been used that often since it is out of warranty I cannot get it fixed. My overall opinion of this cooker is it may look nice but it is a cheaply badly made product
I am now looking to buy another cooker after only having had this one two and half years

I had read some bad reviews about this Leisure Gourmet (small range) cooker before I bought it but I was seduced by the styling of it and thought that only people complaining would be writing reviews. How wrong I was. This cooker has been a traumatic and upsetting experience from the start. I am not a good cook but now the meals I produce are terrible and I am fearful of poisoning the family. I have only had the cooker just over a month and am now loathe to use the cooker. I have tried cooking a chicken twice - both times it was in for hours and came out with red juice. Pizzas are a disaster and a sliced potatoe bake was uncooked eve though it was in for much longer than recommended. I'm cooking food at number but it's still taking way longer. the engineer came round and put a probe in and said it was getting to the right temperature. i just can't understand this because of that was true, the food would be cooking in the alloted time. I have never cooked on a cooker that performned so badly. I have been back to thestore I got it from today and was told to return tomorrow to speak to the manager. I have had enough of this coker and other reviews suggest the poor performance of my cooker is not unique. I shall be asking for my money back as the cooker is not fit for purpose. I hope I get the refund but am not looking forward to researching for another cooker and arranging delivery and installation all over again. Also I was infored once the coker was delivered that it is actually a Beko cooker and not a Leisure cooker. All in all I'm VERY disappointed with this item and wish I had heeded the reviews. :(

Just had this fitted, looks great. This is my first gas cooker, thought i would cook a roast as my first meal.Chicken took hours to cook and then i still had to finish cooking it in microwave as blood was still present,i must say its the longest i have ever had to cook a chicken.Thought something must be wrong.I have just cooked a chicken pie and the same again,so i looked at some reviews(wish i had done this before i purchased cooker)i too seem to have a cooker that does not cook!No wonder they are selling them off cheap, manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves, selling rubbish like this. They are sending out an engineer next week but after reading your experiences i don't hold out much hope.will have to send it back.I suppose you do get what you pay for. A great disappointment.

This is word for word the same problems I have had with my leisure gourmet classic!
I've had it for 18 months and now need to buy a new cooker (not leisure)
Before Christmas . They are total rubbish!
