    Good Points: Stylish looks.

Bad Points: Lousy build quality.Cheap materials.Doesn't like being used to cook food.

General comments: Thought I was getting a bargain with this Leisure Gourmet 60 Gas at RRP 649 on offer at 339 but how wrong can you be? Adjusting knobs all fell off within two years, door handles are not screwed together with the consequence that the brassy bits fall out and three of the plastic supports have snapped off. The doors shut with a worryingly unsatisfactory clang rather than a proper thud (think Citroen AX v Ford Focus). Temperature markings have all faded which makes using the ovens completely hit and miss. All in all a complete waste of money, cheaply made and poor quality. It did come with a griddle attachment mind you that comes in handy (although that wobbles as they haven't bothered to make it straight).

Having never cooked on gas before, the first couple of months, with the ovens producing uncooked food, I put down to my lack of experience. The ovens just did not seem to heat up properly. I bought a thermometer which confirmed my findings and got on to Leisure. What a performance! Their most bizarre, and downright annoying method was for me to describe the fault ...

Even before the Leisure Gourmet 60 Gas oven got to my kitchen, there was a problem with main oven door which does not shut because of the damage on a side which was made during the transportation and different product had to be ordered. However, the second product had the same problem which again the main oven door is damaged but does shut but I installed the oven with a promise of the door will be repaired free of charge. The agreement was made through Curry's which I bought the product from an ...
