“Terrible company - avoid like the plague!”

Terrible company. Took 6 months of constant chasing to receive the whole order. My baby arrived before the car seat! Customer service is disgusting, they will not contact you when they say they will and will flat out ignore your calls and emails. They said they had retrained staff but this made no difference. They blamed all delays on suppliers - read the others reviews! They sell products without having stock and are totally incompetent at getting the stock. Do not buy from this company unless you are desperate and they have all items in stock!

“Terrible Company AVOID”

Would give 0 stars. Trying to return a faulty product to this company and the customer service is appalling. Apparently the Royal Mail returns labels aren't working 3-days on. No one answers emails and just keep getting fobbed off. Paid £80 for a baby monitor that does not work. Will be taking this further legal as I work within a law firm and I am going to ensure that people are aware of this company via social media and review sites. Disgusting!

“Unreasonable customer service and returns policy”

This is a very old-fashioned retailer, in a time where most e-commerce functions on free returns for optimal customer service, Baby Security made it so hard for me to return a baby crib that I did not find as expected. Not only they expect you to pay for the return, but they reserve the right to take money off your refund amount for random reasons such as if the box it comes back in has brown tape on it, not transparent tape (!!!). I am so uncomfortable with BabySecurity and I won't be using them again. All their products are also available elsewhere online, and hassle-free.

“Extremely poor ”

Ordered 2 items.. money was taken only to be told 3 days later items was not in stock and they didn't know when they would be... was told a refund would be offered after a week .. no refund.. had to make a claim with paypal only then to be told because I had opened a case they could not refund me!! poor customer service.. awful experience.. would definitely NOT recommend or purchase again from site

The item i ordered although it was only small when it arrived it was completely damaged. I sent an email to complain but no reply. Choose a better company don't waste your time or money with this one.

“Poor customer service - do not buy from this company”

We purchased 2 baby gates from this company but had to return them as they did not fit. We were sent a returns label and given instructions to return to a post office using their account. We were charged £23 to return the items as the post office would not accept the label as the items were too heavy. When we contacted baby security to ask for postage back they said it was our fault for not using a different courier even though they had told us to take to the post office. They were extremely rude, unhelpful and unco-operative. will not buy from them again - very unprofessional and poor service. Wish I had read the negative reviews before buying!

“Very poor service”

We ordered two baby monitors, but one turned up having already been opened, and then stuffed back into the box, damaging the internal packaging; we didn't complain about this, though, as it appeared to function. However, neither baby monitor was actually as described on their website, and so we tried to get a refund - according to their refund policy, we were still within the 14 day window, but they refuse to accept returns until they have provided us with a Returns Reference Number - we have been trying for 3 weeks to get one of these from us, but they have been ignoring our emails. We are stuck with these two baby monitors that we don't want, and can't afford to get a replacement until we get a refund. Very unhappy.

“Poor customer service when products become faulty”

I bought a Motorola baby monitor from here. After about 6 months the parent unit developed a fault and I contacted the retailer to send it back and get a replacement. They refused to replace it and insisted on repairinf it. This is depsite the fact that the longer I go without a working monitor, the danger and incomvenience it caused for me to be able to monitor my child at sleep. They quoted a week to repair and replace - 2 weeks on and still hadn't got the item back! Steer clear of purchasing from this company. You atre better off buying from a reputable shop where you can take the item back and get an instant replacement within the waranty period.

“Adapter for monitor not working! ”

I ordered a replacement adaptor for my baby monitor, the new adapter does not work, I have been back and forth with emails with them which are very slow and it takes them a long time to respond! All they can say was are you sure it's not your monitor and says well the adapter is new so it can't be that!!!! I Just need a new adapter or a refund for selling a faulty product!! This is when I wish I didn't buy on line and I could just go to a store and speak to someone in person that could actually help!

“Order cancelled without notice”

Order was cancelled without warning or email due to having no stock. I only found out once I started making enquiries as the delivery date had already passed. It is just common courtesy to let people know as this was not for Christmas but a birthday present. This was ordered via Halfords website and they are gladly not taking any responsibility.

“Terrible company, do not buy from them”

We bought a Luvion Supreme Connect baby monitor from this company last year and initially were very happy with the product. However, after 10 months or so the unit developed a fault in that the battery would drain almost instantly and the monitor would have to be on the mains charger to work. We spoken to Baby Security and before fixing or replacing the product they wanted to test the battery to ensure it wasn't that. They sent a replacement battery which we tried however after another month or so the same fault developed. Again, they wanted to send us another battery which they did, we tested and again the fault remained. By this point we were tired of having replacement batteries sent through and we asked for a replacement unit. At this point we were told that this would not be possible as the unit was out of warranty. This is unbelievable as the unit is only out of warranty as Baby Security wanted us to try replacement batteries!! The unit was within warranty when we first flagged the issue. We have been totally ignore on this point and they have agreed to 'test' our monitor to see what the fault is however this must be done at our expense and we will be left without a baby monitor whilst they complete this process. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, uncaring company before and I would strongly advise that you think twice before ordering from them.

“Lied about item being in stock and late delivery”

On 28th April I ordered 2x safety gates and 2 x spacers to fit them to the wall. I opted for expedited delivery which would mean I receive the order the next day. The next day I received an email stating that the spacers were out of stock and I would have to wait for them to come back into stock on 1st May. I called and complained. They agreed to send out the safety gates in the meantime, which in my opinion should have been the case anyway. I also had to ask for them to waive the money I'd paid for expedited delivery, which they duly did. The gates arrived the next day (a day late). On the 1st May, I received an email stating that the spacers were in stock and had been sent out for delivery, as promised. However the delivery method has been downgraded to normal post. so now I'm expecting the spacers to arrive 6 days after the order was placed. Not on. Tried to contact them. No one answering the phones and no "Live chat" service. DON'T OFFER NEXT DAY DELIVERY IF YOU KNOW YOUR ITEMS AREN'T IN STOCK!!! not using again.

“No contact at all!!”

Company took the money for my order and then never contacted me again! Only received an email from sage pay to say the payment had been taken. No confirmation email, no phone call etc. After nearly two weeks still no sign of the order so I called the order line only be told the item is no longer stocked- no apology/refund etc. Do not bother with this company!!

“Appalling overall service - BabySecurity.co.uk”

Purchased a Dan baby gate together with a small inexpensive door safety device. Nothing arrived and had to chase - advised despatch held up as out of stock of door device, so they agreed to send the gate on its own (which they should have done anyway). Some week or so later having tested and liked the Baby Dan gate I ordered another one for another stair flight; this one arrived and on installing was clearly faulty. All explained by email - then they asked for photos (which were irrelevant as the fault was within the locking mechanism) and after several emails they agreed to replace however they had no pre-paid return service hence I had to pay around £12 to return a £25 gate. They then replaced the gate but refused to refund the return postage. They would only refund approximately £5 but only if I send them proof of postage - which was ridiculous given that they had obviously received the faulty gate back (otherwise they wouldn't have agreed to replace it). Meanwhile - several weeks later - the original safety device still had not arrived and so I accepted a replacement which proved to be a completely different design from that ordered and useless. At that point I gave up. This company provides a bare minimum of customer service and clearly tries only just to comply with on line selling regs. Back to John Lewis for me!

“we don't assume the warranty”

Not buy the Luvion products in babysecuriti.co.uk, I bought the Luvion Grand Elite, and after 3 months the camera was broken, not heard, the hinge broke and the monitor 3 stripes in the top .... I send the product and they told me I miss-used and do not fix me, it seems a shame. Its products are designed to not touch, because touch as they break. Do not buy these products ........

Items listed on website are not always listed at the correct price. They then refuse to honour the price. This is legal if done within 24 hes but they left it 40! Refused to give contact address for trading standards. Which by the way is also illegal.

“Baby monitor”

In the middle of June, we bought a baby monitor on babymonitor direct. They told us that we might have to wait up to 1 month. After 1 month we called them back to tell them that we didn't receive the baby monitor. They told us they were out of stock and they were going to refund us. Meanwhile after another week, the card that we used to buy the baby monitor has been cloned, so we have to call the bank to cancel the card and to have it replaced. They said they processed the refund at the end of July, but after a week we didn't receive any money yet on our account. We called them again to explain the situation, but they said they couldn't do anything because they refund the money. Eventually, we manage to solve the problem, the bank told that the money would definitely be put back on our account, but we would like to know if somebody had their card being cloned after purchasing something from this company. For us it is just to strange for a company to tell you one month later that they are out of stock, and all the others bad reviews on this website just make me think they are just a rubbish company.
