AVOID, AVOID. Like many other customers of Easycinema I see on this page, I do not have 'auto top up' enabled so that they can automatically bill me for new DVD credits. Despite this, Easycinema have been helping themselves to my bank account without permission - I believe this is called stealing. Like other customers, I tried to contact them but no phone number can be found and they have ignored both of my emails and the letter I also sent them. I have spent a lot of money on the phone to my bank trying to sort this out.

Same problem as other reviewers. I have 'auto top up' disabled yet when I return the DVD's they automatically take money from my credit card and then send me more DVD's that I don't want - thus ending up in a permenant loop with no way to cancel the service.
5x emails to customer services and no joy - they keep telling me a variety of things, many of which are untrue, finally they have said they can't deal with my complaint unless I identify myself (despite telling me on the previous 4x emails the status of my account).
Unfortunately was a decent service, now completely tarnished by appalling customer service and a locked in service that is impossible to leave.

In my experience if I wanted continue to hold any DVDs when all my credits have expired (90 days from purchase) I will be charged for a new batch of credits. Even if I have Auto Topup disabled on my account! Due to this I am no longer a customer and do not recommend Easy Cinema to anyone.

For me - lost discs, slow turn around, never saw any of the latest titles requested. As far as I am aware they took £20 from my account for late return after cancellation. Don't recommend Easy Cinema.com.

Easy Cinema dot com takes three or more days to update your selection, my emails were ignored concerning lost discs in fact the whole set up has let me down.

Not at all happy with the customer service reply when complaining about the money being taken without my consent when signing up, just got 'tough luck' style reply. It wasn't just me who has had this happen either. I know other people who independently signed up and before any form of 'do you wish to proceed as money will be taken from your account' bang! It's gone. Maybe Barry Scott owns this company?

I like the Easy system and would love them to do Easy Game rental in the same way.

I think that overall the Easy DVD service is quite good. Turnaround time is decent compared to some other services and DVDs are usually near the top of the list. The only problem I had with Easy DVD is that it charges per disc. It was good when I did not really have the time to watch DVDs regurlarly so I took a long time with the discs. However, when I started to return the DVDs a lot quicker I realised that it would be much cheaper to go with a pay monthly service. It really is a no hassle, simple service. Although, you must watch the extra feature discs as they will cost another £1.99 in addition to the £1.99 you paid for the main feature disc.
