Good Points: Mission m33i are overall good speakers with nice design. Depth of sound, stereo and position of instruments are excellent. You could hear true stereo sound. Used wood and finish makes cabinet dead. They don't colour sound much. What you need from speakers is to have two which sounds neutral and won't fatigue for listening over longer period. They have bi-wire connectors on the back. As most of us don't have 2 amplifiers you could connect them with one double wire, but I will recommend to use bi-wire even if you have only one amplifier.

Bad Points: Although the cabinets seems large, they are only 12.6 liters in volume. Bottom half is a separate box to fill it with sand to make cabinet more stable. Due to lack of volume, bass is weak or it is not deep enough. Separate subwoofer is strongly recommended. If you love real bass, I will recommend larger one - m34i, which have 2 bass drivers. Cloth and plastic which covers speakers are weak and easy to break.

General comments: To give less subjective comment, you need to consider price and overall sound. Price is low which makes them affordable. For such a price I doubt you could get better one, but you should consider separate subwoofer too - for the same price as these two, which actually doubles price. Of course, sound much depends on your living room, sometimes in small rooms you will have too much bass, but quantity is not equal to quality. I've get used to listen 3 way speakers and therefore I miss some of the mid range tones. Looking on price and quality it is hard to find better one.

I recently purchased the Mission M33i from my local audio dealer. Out of the box the Mission M33i seem to sound if anything a bit dull, but give them about 8 hrs and they really come alive. The sonic abilities of the Mission M33i is outstanding at this price. They seem to work well with my Marantz PM4200 because the PM4200 is only 30 watt/chanel the 8 ohm means they are easy for the amp to run and the sensitivity being 90db give you extra volume from a lower power amp. I think this is definitely ...
