After email contact 8 months in advance our holiday was booked at the Queens for two double rooms adjoining. Arriving at the airport we boarded the no. 3 bus which took us to the door of the hotel.A friendly greeting from staff and we found the hotel very basic but clean and tidy. With a central position in Gibraltar we walked everywhere, to the Europa Point at the southern end of the rock and past North Front to the Mediterranean side beaches. Breakfast was fruit juice with tea or coffee, toast and Egg, Bacon with Tomato served by very polite and helpful staff. More toast and coffee was provided when asked for and our waitress, was very friendly and always had time for a quick chat. After Royal Naval service in Gib in the 70's it was a pleasure to go back and stay at The Queens Hotel that gives a discount to forces/ex-forces. The rates they offer are the best in Gibraltar for standard accommodation. Special rates are often on offer so just ask what rates are available. We slept well in comfortable beds, had good breakfasts, toured the rock daytime and returned late evening. Two years time, we'll be back.

The Queen's Hotel was priced for what you get. I feel we got value for our hard earned cash. Rooms are clean and the basicness doesn't bother me as long as it is clean. On site there's internet, ...
