We selected our accommodation, booked and paid a deposit approx six months before travel . About two weeks before departure we are advised that the apartment owners had chosen not to rent the property , and we were offered an alternative in a completley different area to where we were booked ,and no where near where we wanted to be , but we were told this was all that was available as it was busy !! Not our fault !!!! We were emailed the details of the alternative accommodation and a link... (read more)

When I booked an apartment I was looking forward to it, but my experience was better than my expectations. The Apartment was very clean, nice furnished and kitchen was fully equipped for reasonable price. The Apartment had good accessibility by public transportation and was in good area. We appreciated it very much because we came by train. The are was not only good but perfectly calm. There was almost no noise at day and at night at all. When I go there again I would like to stay in the... (read more)

“Moma apartment”

Written on: 11/01/2012 by hipcio (1 review written)

I strongly recomend this company. At first it was some problems in communication by mail, but finally we were very satisfied with their services. Apartment is very large, cozy and equipped well. Localisation is absolutely perfect (the very center of Rome, near Piazza Navona). The apartment has everything what we need: TV, kitchen, fridge, plates, cutlery, pots, hairdryer, heating. The office where we got the keys is close to the Termini station. We haven't to pay a deposit (200€).... (read more)

“Poppea2”

Written on: 08/10/2011 by victorspacey (1 review written)

In the august we stayed in Poppea2 apartments. We're really loved it. It's located very close to best places for tourists in Rome. We traveled by car and found apartments in few minutes. We felt us there very comfortable like at home. Service was just brilliant. We will check other top apartments of romecityapartments in near future. (read more)

“Royale apartment is a WOW)))”

Written on: 08/10/2011 by Alexeyka_K. (1 review written)

My family and I had a very comfortable stay at Royale apartment during our 7 day vacation in Rome. The apartment was easily accessible by public transport to the sights of Rome. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The well equipped kitchen helped us in some cooking which was very useful with a child around. Thanks for making Rome so memorable for our family. I've already recommended this apartment to a family member and would not hesitate to book again. Big thanks to... (read more)

“Stelletta2”

Written on: 03/10/2011 by Jennifer.A (1 review written)

We really loved our stay in Rome in this Stellatta2 apartment. The apartment was gorgeous, comfortable and perfectly clean. The kitchen was stocked with every necessity. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lifts, but this is very common in such ancient buildings and we knew this before booking it so it was not a big deal. The neighborhood is the best one can choose in Rome. Everything you need: grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants is just there or around the corner. We... (read more)

“Rome City Apartments - Stelletta 2 in Rome”

Written on: 19/09/2011

The layout and overall decoration of the apartment was nice. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was small with few utensils provided, no wine opener, no tea pot, no coffee pot. There were no kitchen towels. We were only provided four bathroom towels for a 5 night stay with four people. The apartment provided no wash cloths. There were no instructions on how to use the television set or the washing machine, which for people unfamiliar with Europe was frustrating. They... (read more)

Stayed in one of the Venere apartments last year. It was described as luxury - what a laugh. Their command of the english language is obviously flawed - they insisted their description was accurate. Very, very basic facilities and the lift never worked. The entrance and stairs were like something out of a tenement. Staff said they would speak with the owner about a partial refund but couldn't resolve the issue before we left. They later offered a credit against a return visit. NEVER... (read more)

We stayed in the Elsupremo apartment with rome city apartments back in november. The apartment had been completely renovated and therefore was in very good shape. Everything was clean and well appointed. The location of the apartment also was perfect, as it was a few minutes walk from the vatican museums and it had a metro stop nerby to take us straight to' the spanish steps. Overall a very positive experience that we definetly recommend to other people looping for a comfortable and not... (read more)

We booked this Stelletta2 apartment following the suggestion of a friend that had been there two years ago. He was enthusiastic about the apartment, the location and the price. For this reason we were quite relaxed when we booked it and when we arrived we had no surprises. It's true that the apartment is really big and it has also, but only for a decoration purpose, a fireplace that, we thought, is quite unusual in Rome. We took lots of pics of the apartment and showed them to friends when... (read more)

Nice, nice, nice: the Royale apartment is very quiet -on the top floor- there are two large bedrooms, a very large living room with great views and a small terrace. There is a lot of natural light as the apartment is on the top floor and only the living room itself has 2 big windows. The apartment is well maintained and was very when we checked in clean. The location is perfect. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils to cook quick meals. The staff of the agency was very helpful before... (read more)

We recently stayed in the Poppea2 apartment in Rome. While it was in a fantastic location and very close to all the historic sites, they let themselves down with the "finish".
While generally clean enough, the floors were filthy and had not been cleaned for who knows how long. While we took this apartment because of the advertised balcony, it was also filthy and in an internal airwell. There were no tea towels or dish rags and not even a bathmat.
With a tiny bit of extra care, this... (read more)

We want to share our experience of our stay in Rome, as it has been surpisingly positive. The city itself is amazing, people are really nice and the food is really good if you go off the usual beaten track of pizza and pasta. In fact we rented an apartment with Rome City Apartments and the accommodation itself was great -it was the Tataiana apartment in Campo d Flor area, Via dei Capellarri- with nice furnitures and well cleaned and mantained and, honestly, even better than in the pics.... We have just returned from Rome and stayed in the Poppea 2 apartment. The location was perfect and the apartment building was quiet during the night, despite being so close to the Pantheon. However, the apartment was very dark as only low power light bulbs were installed, and could have been cleaner. We were provided with only one towel per person for a week, which was not adequate. I just came back from Rome, where I rented an "Ottavia" apartment from Romecityappartments.
I also arranged an airport transfer through this company. Everything was really good. The apartment was exactly as on the pictures and in the great location next to Campo De Fiory. It was a pleasant stay for the cost less than for the hotel.

We rented a 1 bedroom unit on Via Frangipane, right next to the Forum and the Coliseum. We found the apartment filthy - cleaning there is only done by those who rent the place - and lacking the most basic amenities.
At the reception desk, we were "required" to pay an extra $40 for air conditioning. Just do not stay with Rome City Apartments. (read more)

We rented the Girasole apartment in July 2010 the apartment did not have air conditioning as advertised and specifically requested as a requirement for any apartment. “Avoid this agency. ”

Avoid this agency.

We rented a one bedroom apartment in Campo De Fiori from RomeCityApartments in June 2010. The apartment was NOT as advertised, with every major appliance (AC, washer, stove, toaster, you name it) either broken or only partially working. The place is dated, decorated and equipped with flea market cast-offs (including the dullest kitchen knives I've ever encountered, thwarting our plans for cooking in).

After you book, don't be surprised to find that the agent won't meet... (read more)

We were two couples renting the Royale Apartment for the first week in May. The aprtment was worth every penny. It was clean, spacious and very centrally located. I would recommend highly if you want to be near to all the central tourist spots. Kitchen was well stocked and we made great use of the pots and pans as we were generally disappointed by the food. We rented an apartment from Rome City Apartments for the month of February, 2010. The apartment, on Via Steletta, was well located, about 150 meters from the Pantheon. The apartment was adequate but under furnished in important ways. Second bedroom had a bed but not enough room to turn around in. Bathrooms quite cramped and very sporadic hot water. I stayed in the Helios apartment with my family back in Ocotber. It has been a great experience as the apartment was spotless and I liked very much the design of the furnitures. One can see that the apartment has been designed by an architect and everything is pretty new. I stayed with my family in the Venere 3 apartment last October that I booked with Rome City Apartments. The apartment itself was nice and newly renovated. What a disappointment! The Pirandella apartment was very dirty...even dirty spoons in the kitchen. The apartment was advertised with linens. My pillow was so dirty and stinky that I slept without a pillow. We received one very old skimpy towel per person, no hand towels, no kitchen towels. Of course there was no toilet paper, dish soap, etc. The washer leaked water all over the floor and, when we called the management, they implied it was our fault. The refrigerator was dirty. Back from Rome, where I booked with www.romecityapartments.com the Monk apartment in Trastevere. We were met by the owner at the agreed time and the apartment itself was very nice and clean. The district of Trastevere, where the apartment is located, is full of energy and life, lots of things to see and to visit. More generally this applies to the entire city of Rome. Terrible, terrible experience. I would never, ever use this company again! Where to start.......
The apartment was not as described on the website. It was definitely not newly renovated (marks on the walls and chunks of plaster missing everywhere for starters - it was barely recognisable as being the same as the one we saw in the photo on the website). It did not contain all the appliances/amenities that were listed on the website (no dishwasher, microwave didn't work properly, cooker top... (read more)

We just came back from Rome where we booked an apartment with romecityapartments.com. I'd like to let everybody know this has been for us (we were 2 family groups) a very positive experience. The owner was never informed by Rome City Apartments that there were two people staying here, not one. He was unapologetic about the sofa bed. He kept saying it was his mother's apartment but wouldn't pay to have the sofa bed fixed. The oven didn't work. There was a huge hole in the bathroom floor. How could you cook without the oven?? The freezer didn't work either.
No apologies or no refunds.

I visited Rome last August with my family. I have 2 children of 12 and 10. We followed the suggestion of a friend and booked the "Helios" apartment with romecityapartments.com. I should say that I would have never expected such a high standard apartment: the furniture was tastefully chosen in modern, trendy style. We had a bad experience with www.romecityapartments.com. To cut a long story short they shifted us into an inferior apartment, offered to fix things, but they didn't turn up to sort things out as agreed on the telephone, and then they just stonewalled us until we left.
