Good Points: Very easy to use interface; Shoutbox as standard; Easy to customise; Very Powerful all round; Logs (I can see what's been done to my board in detail).
Bad Points: Full skinning support not available.
General comments: MageBB is great. From their site they quote:
"MageBB is a brand new bulletin board system from Mage Software. It has a very easy to use and good looking both front and back end functions. It features a full logging system, a feature that most new, commercial bulletin boards don't have. Each of the logs are stored from Admin Logs, to Member Logs, each contain important information, Username, Time, Action, and they cannot be deleted from the system (In order to stop "bad" admins from causing havoc), of course MySQL Query deletion is possible. Instead of hunting around for modifications, the default package brings them to you, from the shoutbox to extensive logs. You may also request modifications at our support boards, and they should be integrated with the next release if popular. Whilst still in development, MageBB is nearing release very fast, and all features are working as of today's release."
And they are 100% correct, all the features that they mention are there, and working. It may still be in development, but I have tested the BETA versions and they are looking extremely hopefull.
I would recommend this to ANYBODY.
