    Good Points: Food was excellent. Room was clean, as was most of the Hotel and complex. 2 pools, one is geared to the family/18-30 brigade. The other is an Olympic size pool that not many people know about due to it being at the front of the hotel. It is shielded by a huge wall. It was clean and there was no music (although the music is for the German/French taste - ie it is rubbish!


    Bad Points: German/French ignorance to what a queue is and how it works. Some bar staff and reception staff go out of there way to NOT understand what you're saying. Luckily my bit German and my girlfriends bit French got us past. Smoking was allowed everywhere. Water machines are filled up from the tap!!! Also, water is not given out by the resort at all, and there were points when the machines were all empty. If you wanted a bottle of water, you paid. None of the bars had matches - we had taken candles for the room and none of the bars, reception or the shop had any!


    General comments: The El Mouradi Skanes Beach is geared towards the German and French market, but the resort itself is good. The place is quite impressive as you walk in. The reception is on the left, and in front is the indoor bar area. It has two domes above and looks quite grand. It also has windows looking out over the rear pool area and to the sea. The rear pool has a bar/food bar. It also has the entertainment area.

    The front pool has a bar, but it is quieter than the rear pool. The rear pool is the main kids pool, and as such, the front pool is really for adults.

    Food was great. Fresh bread every day. Also good choices of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. The downside was that fresh juice was an added extra?

    Entertainment was pretty good. Kids got from 7-9 at night for their stuff, then the crew laid on a show for the adults. It was pretty good stuff too, compared to most British holiday rep set ups!

    All in all it was very nice, but not a 4* hotel. 3* is all I would class it as.
