I was desperate to get and I tried Wentworth Direct. Yes, I did get the loan that was quoted at a good rate. I would use them again. I had been refused by my bank which is why I thought I'd give them a try.

Got a letter to say I was accepted for a loan, sent my £49 fee. Cheque cashed and still nothing from them, disgraceful company! Can't get through by phone either, will have to request my fee back, very misleading company, avoid!

I liked the fact that I had a letter telling me that I have been excepted 2 days after which I think is quite cheap plus its good that you only have to pay £49.00 for it to be approved other companies ask for £60.00.

I've just got a £7000 loan with Wentworth Direct Finance. It took about a week for the loan to go through. I applied to them because I was reccomended by one of my friends. I can't say that I have anything to grumble about.

I just appiled on line for a wentworth loan, and was about to pay the £49. But I am glad I read these comments first. I do owe quite a bit of money and companies like these do offer solutions but like many other lenders the promises come to nothing. This company sounds a bit like Yes loans, who also apparently want money up front, then do get you a loan but not for the ammount you applied for, but because they "got you a loan" they dont give money back.

After replying to a letter I received from Wentworth I decided to apply for a loan. I was assured that the whole process would take no longer than 6-8 weeks. I asked why I had to pay a brokers fee in advance, I was told that this was standard practice and that the fee was refundable. After 8 weeks I had received no further correspondence from Wentworth, I phoned and was told that my details had been lost and that I would have to re-apply. I started chasing it and ended up dealing with 2 other companies. The last one told said 'yes we have found you a loan for 4 grand subject to their criteria. I cancelled at this point and called Wentorth wanting my £49 back. Was told that a form would be sent out to me to claim it. That was about 3 weeks ago. This is a great site and influenced me to take up the Wentworth loan offer. Their credit department was efficient, but the automated progress line could be delayed at times.

After sending 49 pound to them i got a letter from another company saying they would pass details on to there lenders after ringing Wentworth Direct today and asking for my 49 pound back they say i have to put it in writing so i have keep pestering them you will get it back. anon

Wentworth Direct Finance Personal Loans wont give you a straight refund if they cant get you a loan. I've rang for 6 weeks and sent a letter and they still have yet give me my 49 processing fee back!

Wish I had read the reviews before sending £49.00 to Wentworth Finance, They sent me a letter saying that my loan had been passed by their loan processing department, 3 days later I receive a phone call from another company who Wentworth had passed my details to who could only offer me a secured loan, when I phoned them the just rang, I would advise people to stay clear off Wentworth Finance and keep their hard earned money.

Wentworth Direct Finance Personal Loans take a £49 payment from you because they have found you a guaranteed loan, then you get a letter through the mail telling you that you have to have a guarantor to be able to get the loan! So I'm not actually getting the loan because I don't have a guarantor..... They spelt my name wrong but managed to do a credit check on me, they also got the loan amount wrong even though they confirmed it with me on the phone.

After much thought i decided to use the Wentworth loan service. They do their best to get people loans. They told me that as long as i had made a truthful application my loan would be successful.

My application for a loan was accepted with Wentworth Direct Finance Personal Loans. It was then refused but my money for the first payment, which had to be paid by cheque was not returned. It was very difficult to contact the firm by phone and I can't find an e-mail address for them.

I'm really happy with the service i received from wentworth Direct Finance and i am satisfied with my loan. They deal with a wide variety of lenders and their rates of interst are ok. I found this review site really informative.

Thank you to everyone who has advised me NOT to send the £49 fee to wentworth! I received the letter this morning that i had been approved for a loan of £15,000 with a apr of 15.2%, after looking through countless review sites and reading them all, they do what you can for yourself at no extra cost. you will more than likely be directed to welcome finance who are the same, do not go with either of them, welcome has a 64% apr!!!
