Good Points: None.
General comments: Me and my boyfriend have rented our apartment through Martin and Co in we have found them to be very unprofessional. When we first went to view the flat together we straight away called them and told them we were interested in the flat. They then told us that there was a reference fee £150.00, so my boyfriend paid this over the phone. The application form was sent through which we both filled in and faxed back to them. My boyfriend then got a call asking if it was both of us that were going to be living there? We were then advised that it would be another £50 so £200 ref fees altogether. We reluctantly agreed that we would have to pay this. We then went in signed the contract and arranged to move in on 26th of the month and when we went down to collect our keys we were told that we weren't moving in until 31st of the month! Even though our contract stated that our moving in date is 26th! We argued and they did let us move in on that date (as stated in the contract anyway). Generally we have had lots of problems and we havent even been living in our apartment for that long. Most recently we reported repair issues to them and I am still awaiting a call back, though I really don't expect to hear anything. When our contract is up I will be moving as I dont want to have to put up with this any longer.

Martin & Co estate agents have never carried out a single repair to the flat even though I was promised that they would sort out bathroom and kitchen cooker hood which is dangerous. Never return phone calls. Have constantly dripping tap which wastes 100 liters a month and Im on a meter. Avoid these couldnt careless people at all costs.

Have gone for a new property through Martin and Co which I thought were very professional and helpful at my first visit. Martin and Co had agreed that the furnished property will have curtain and not the blinds. When I call them to check if the curtain are all fitted Martin and co told me its not going to happen and straight away the next thing they told me was would you like to cancel the contract and that would basically mean that I will lose my agencies fees £323.00. Was not happy at al ...

I would highly recommend and use Martin & Co estate agents again the future. We rented our apartment in Ealing, and we dealt directly with the owner of the business, which is part of a franchise group who advised and guided us through the new laws, and sourced a lovely professional couple within 48 hours. Fully credit checked them and kept us up to speed at all times. Excellent service.

My experience of Martin and Co. as a letting agency is very poor. They seem to work very short days and have long lunch breaks, so it is difficult to get through on the telephone. When I did get through, they always told me it was somebody else I needed to speak to who was always busy, out of the office or on the telephone, and that they would phone back (which of course they never did).
The property I rented was repossessed by the mortgage company due to a breach of mortgage conditions b ...
