I've only been using this for one day, but I've seen an immediate effect. First I started to use it to cover some old acne scars, and it hasn't really worked, but as it doesn't say it'll cover scars I won't use this against the product. People have noticed my colour, and as I only chose the fair-medium shade, it isn't too obvious, just as though I've had a healthy sun tan. The only down point is the smell. Loved this fake tan when I first started using it (about a month ago). I'm now on my 2nd bottle and have come out in a terrible rash, so I w'ont/c'ant use it again. There is no smell and dried very quickly on me. I would recomend this product to anyone but would suggest to test it 1st on a small area of skin. Never had a problem with other cheaper brands so will go back to Garnier. Would like to have known,or know if any one else has had this problem (read more)

this tan is brilliant i use it alot! i use it every night and then bath in the morning. it is abit sticky for a short while but its worth it in the end, you dont end up orange or patchy you have a natural looking tan:D very cheap too!! would recommend this tan to everybody (read more)

I think the dove summer glow moisturizer is very good becuase it looks very natural and it doesnt go patchy. I use this product every night, depending if i want it to be darker or not. I would defanatly recomend this product to a friend because it is natatural and its easy to apply. Its cheap and lasts a very long time. The thing i didnt like about this product is that it takes a long time to dry. I think it would take about 2-3 hours to dry depending on how much you put on. (read more)

I gave this product 5 stars because it really does give me a natural looking tan. I find it easy to use and it's great that I can control how tanned I want to be. For example if I just want a light glow I'll only apply it once or twice but if I want a darker tan that makes me look like a beach babe, I'll apply it up to four times in one day, just making sure I let it dry properly before each application. I love this lotion, it doesn't smell bad at all in my opinion unlike many other fake tans. It gives you natural brown (not orange) tan. It can be a little greasy, so not great for oily/ spot prone skin types. I use it on my face and body. It is the perfect fake tan for summer. (read more)

I borrowed this off the good lady wife a few weeks ago prior to going to a BBQ with my friends. My pasty (I work in an office all day) skin, needed something to make it look like I had been out at least once this summer - well, it worked. I hadnt tanned before but i wanted a natural tan and saw this, i used a fair amount, didnt want to go overboard as it was my first time! I was worried it would run in the shower, so i left it about 4 hours to dry. it was fine after i panicked because if i wanted to wear shorts and not want people to know i had tanned and had it all running down my legs i wouldnt know what to do it was my first time lol! but it looked good, i was pleased all round and no one noticed id cheated the summer... I started applying this 3-4 days before a big night out and I was left rather disappointed as it didnt seem to change my colour at all. Im not dark or pale, I am a light sandy colour, and what I was after was bronze! I continued using it for 5-6 days in a row to see if it works eventually and I finally saw some difference. There's too much competition out there now for fake tans, if you want to improve this lower the price and sell it in more stores! (Struggled to find it!) (read more)

Bought this for a friend's night out which was Jersey Shore themed. As I am ridiculously pale and never fake tanned before, didn't want to spend on St Tropez products as didn't think it would be worth it if went wrong! I started applying five days before the night out and the next day found I already had a bit of a glow which was surprising, five days later after applying every night after my shower I had a really nice colour - wasn't streaky or too orange and looked natural even for me... Used on holiday. Good as a moisturiser and gives the look of a natural tan, I use the darker skin one. Used after a shower and after applying aftersun, the results are excellent. Would finish off with the hairdryer before dressing. No marks on clothes or bedding. Lots of compliments on my Spanish Tan. (read more)

I have been using this product for a little over a month after it was recommended to me by a friend. I am very happy with it and it is much cheaper (around £4.50) then some more expensive products on the market such as the St Tropez items (Up to £35) and applies really well as well as giving great results. I used the darker shade bottle med to dark toned skin, after two applications i had a light summer glow and then after a week a lovely golden tan. I looks lovely and natural, the smell s nice it doesnt have that strong self tan smell like most other products and i found it easy to fit into my daily routine as it replaces your moisturiser. i love this tan! im 16 and i use the dark one! my mum bought me the light one a few years ago as my first "fake tan" haha. It took a while to build up but i got there. this tan is cheap, easy to apply, natural looking, you can keep building it up depending how dark you want BUT it is sticky when it starts to dry and feels like its wearing off thats the one main reason i dont like it. but apart from that its great. and the best thing is, it doesnt leave you looking orange (read more)

I've used this product for many years, but in the last 6-9 months, I've been very disappointed with the results. When I first used it, people used to comment on my lovely colour, and would asked what I had used. I used to thoroughly recomend this product to anyone who asked. ive been tanning for about a year wthoiut any tanning lotions,ive tried them but you get the same result with them or wthoiut them.so you dont have to buy anything.But use googles!if youre going for 5 min. then you dont have to but when youre going to go for 10,15 or 20 min then you have to use them cause its really not healthy cause the skin on your eyes is very thin.good luck and happy tanning!!:]References :

VERY orange and VERY patchy. Absolute rubbish to be honest. Very expensive for what you are actually getting. I wish I had just doubled the money and taken myself down to my local salon for a spray tan. It's awful! I put it on and a few hours later I really looked as though I had melanoma. I used it twice and looked so ridiculous I had to stop but even now (2 weeks later) I still have patchy skin and patchy towels - not impressed. I am new to this youtube thing..but why do pleope say they love love something if they really don't? I wouldn't think they would want that company to send them more stuff if they didn't like it even though its free??Anyway, great tips. I want try this (first time self tanner) but have been nervous to have bad color! The only way to see is to try it out for myself I guess Do you use the lotion on your face too? Is it ok? I looked at the SunLabs site and they sell face tanning lotion too

I absolutely love this product, it is easier to apply and has better results than any of the fake tan products I have tried in the past. It has a nice fragrance and after a few applications gives me the desired glow I am looking for. It looks very natural without any streaks. I would recommend this moisturiser to anyone! (read more)

I think that the Dove summer glow was brillaint when i first used it. I dont think it smells bad at all, if not the opposite of that. I think after a while of usins it it can become blotchy. BUT! this is onyl if you leave it on for AGES! if you wash regular and put the moisturiser on it will tan and make you look and feel great. many of my friends have used it and found it just as great as i had. already have recommended it to a friend! I think Dove Summer Glow (for fair to medium skin) is absolutely fantastic. I have been using very expensive, difficult to apply, smelly and streaky products for years. I tried this for the first time recently and couldn't believe how easy it is to apply, with no horrible smell & more or less immediate, brilliant results. I've given up on fake tan during the winter months, because every self tan product has succeeded in giving me an obviously fake looking orange hue. But I've used this product on and off and I've got nothing but praise for it. It undoubtedly gives me a glow after about an hour, and the colour is very flattering (i use the dark one). I have being using this product for months now and never had a problem with it. It applys really nicely, doesn't streak, smells good and i can put my clothes on after only 10 minutes. The only problem is i have fairly oily skin so it taks quite a long time to fully absorb. It always leaves me with a really dark natural tan that everyone compliments on
When i first used it i noticed it goes very sticky after application and i
recommend applying it before you go to bed so it has time to dry.
I also noticed its best not to apply it when its cold because its very uncomfortable to sleep when the blanket sticks to you.
But overall f your looking for a good fake tan i 100% recommend this product

It's brilliant, and is ten times better than Johnsons.
Im quite pale skinned, so i decided to give it a go.
I was shocked at how fast it worked, because it does say on the bottle it happens gradually, not at all!
This is the best i've used.
It's a natural, real looking self tan, would recomend to anyone!
I would of liked to know that it does work atleast an hour after applying.

I use this product alot for my legs during school, Never has it not worked... It Gives the skin a natural glow and if you use it a couple oftimes it gives you a very natural looking tan... i would recoment this product to anyone.. just dont put it on after using hair removal creams such as veet or nair becaus did once and it didnt come out on the skin very well. I used this for prom last year. Unfortunately I got bad sunburn just a month before and I was desperate to get rid of the tan lines - pretty bad as I'm fair - as they'd show when wearing my dress. Due to the fact that you have to build up the tan with repeated applications, it is very forgiving. Ive found there is virtually no danger of embarrasing dark patches or streaks. Im pale skinned and find that I can go quite dark with this product and remain non-orange. (read more)

I've had Dove Summer Glow sitting around my house for the last year or so now. I use it only in desperate situations, if there is no other moisturiser available at the time. I have used Dove Summer Glow for about a year now and its the best fake tan i have used, I tried Johnsons, Nivea, Rimmel and always found Dove was the best.
Even on the first time applied your skin starts too change colour within a few hours. After the second coverage you have a very natural brown glow, I have found that after 3 days of applying you have the perfect tan and do not need too top up for another 3-4 days. It has never streaked on me, not after a shower, bath or anything.

I used Dove summer glow before I went on holiday this summer and only had to use it for 3 nights before the colour started to show [although the next morning I wasn't as pale as before].
