Okay, so this is my second review of this product, mainly bcause my first review was a while back. I think I know where people are coming from now when they say that these headphones are too fragile, but they really aren't that bad. Mine took since about April to now, October, that's 6 months, to break completely. When I say break completely, I mean that I have to twist the cable around about 8 times to hear the left earphone and the right is completely gone. I am DEFINITELY getting another pair of these, because I think the only reason why they broke in less than a year is because of they way I treated them, and for £14.99 from play.com, I'm definitely getting another pair.

I bought a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 headphones 6 months ago and I have had to replace them 4 times when they became faulty. They sound great, but they are so fragile that the smallest tug or bend in the wire causes it to fail. They are simply too badly built to survive even quite careful use.

Some people say that these are too expensive - They are if you go and buy them for fifty quid off the high street, I got my Sennheiser CX 300s for fifteen, they are very good, specially once I took my equaliser off bass, because then I was hearing the rest of the music too XD.
At first I thought they weren't half as bassy/comfortable as people said, but I had guesstimated that my earholes would be the medium size, they weren;t. They were small. You might need to put on the small buds if you, li ...- Read Elilie's review (197 words)

Sennheiser CX300 fit very well, they are light and comfortable. Sound quality is overall good, particularly the bass, although treble is a bit tinny. They are also quite cheap. However, the quality is rubbish. One of the sides failed after approx 10 months on my first pair. I replaced them with another pair, having, finally, got a refund from curry's. Unfortunately the same thing has happened on the secong pair, this time after only 6 months. I will not get another pair. I cannot believe a Germa ...- Read jw721091's review (99 words)

I got mine for £14. At this price they are really good value. For a little more then there is more choice and better value like the Soundwise T4 at £16 or Cresyn LMX 630 at £21- Read Guest's review (49 words)

The Sennheiser CX 300 reduces background noise, the overall music quaility is crisp and value for money.
Has a short life, it only lasted me 3 months. , you can still hear alot of the background noise in the underground. In windy condtions the sennhiesers make a whistling sound, which is quite annoying. My ear canal aches if i wear it for more than an hour.
I would have liked to have known the life expectancy of the product.- Read sidstarjonas's review (76 words)

The bass is really good. The cord design is awesome. Isolation is also quite good. Sound quality on a whole is really good but not awesome.
There are better canal phones but for a higher price. Overall this is quite a upgrade for your stock buds. Better than the Sony ex-51 by far. Similar in sound quality with the creative ep-630 (I have both) but the cx-300 gets a tiny edge. Also you need a good mp3/4 player with a good sound card to hear the beauty. One such is the cowon d2 that I own (far much ...- Read roryrudy's review (133 words)

If you touch the cable or are intending using at the gym whereby the cable is moving there is a lot of interference. Mine were sent back as the interference was annoying. Okay if you are motionless, otherwise look at alternative!- Read ammexico's review (43 words)

Good bass, fairly good sound at low price. Although the mid to high range can sound tinny and touching the wires sounds like thunder. The Sennheiser CX 300 is a good buy for $100.- Read Guest's review (32 words)

I was always looking for headphones with good bass sound and CX300 are perfect. My only gripe is that if you touch the wire while you are listening to song you can hear some noise.- Read Guest's review (45 words)

The Sennheiser CX 300 are the best earphones i have ever experienced. I would love to check out the Shure products though. But that's a bit too pricey for me to purchase. Paid $90 dollars for this. Its worth it. Had mine for two years and still makes me feel like in heaven when i plug em up.- Read Guest's review (122 words)

Sennheiser's CX 300 earphones are infinitely better than the standard MP3 phones in terms of sound quality and noise isolation and represent great VFM especially if you shop around for a good price. Sat on a train, you soon go into a world of your own with little or no external noise disturbance. Key problem, however, is when you are on the move. Internal noise is accentuated, even movement on the speaker cable brushing against your clothing can be heard. Not sure if I will get used to that as I ...- Read imorgan's review (134 words)

I've been looking for a decent pair of earplug headphones for a while now, and after doing a lot of research I plumped for the Sennheiser CX300s. I would have loved to give a pair of Shure E2Cs a try, but I would feel a bit uncomfortable shelling out so much money on a pair of headphones designed for frequent outdoor use, not to mention my tight budget. Thankfully, the CX300s did not disappoint one bit.
The first thing that will strike you when you put these in your ears is the noise isolatio ...- Read joelstanier's review (726 words)
