Good Points: Crystal Clear Sound (Low, Mid and high). No Distortion at high volumes. Tried music from all genres. Extremely light weight and comfortable fit. Stays plugged into your earsStylish and turns heads. Go for the silver.
Bad Points: The ear plug seems a bit too delicate.. and mine has got torn but you can always purchase a new pack of ear plugs from the sennheiser website for like $10.
General comments: The Sennheiser CX 300 are the best earphones i have ever experienced. I would love to check out the Shure products though. But that's a bit too pricey for me to purchase. Paid $90 dollars for this. Its worth it. Had mine for two years and still makes me feel like in heaven when i plug em up.

For its price, CX 300 is definitely a winner. If you can afford to shell out more money go for Shure EC4....they are mind blowing!

Sennheiser's CX 300 earphones are infinitely better than the standard MP3 phones in terms of sound quality and noise isolation and represent great VFM especially if you shop around for a good price. Sat on a train, you soon go into a world of your own with little or no external noise disturbance. Key problem, however, is when you are on the move. Internal noise is accentuated, even movement on the speaker cable brushing against your clothing can be heard. Not sure if I will get used to that as I ...

I've been looking for a decent pair of earplug headphones for a while now, and after doing a lot of research I plumped for the Sennheiser CX300s. I would have loved to give a pair of Shure E2Cs a try, but I would feel a bit uncomfortable shelling out so much money on a pair of headphones designed for frequent outdoor use, not to mention my tight budget. Thankfully, the CX300s did not disappoint one bit.
The first thing that will strike you when you put these in your ears is the noise isolatio ...

Like all in-ear phones the CX300s are flawed but these are easily the best I have heard. When I first got them, I sat down to listen to the headphones and soon realised I was listening to the music instead - praise indeed! Within their obvious limitations, they provide a genuinely musical experience and are revealing enough to easily differentiate between a bass guitar and a bass drum or a flute and a clarinet etc etc. They enable you to pick out separate voices in a group of singers without dif ...

I have got through a fair few pairs of headphones for my MP3 player. Because of wear and tear I don't spend more than £40, and within that bracket these are the best things I have come across by a massive margin. The bass is strong, but not overblown. However, it is the solidity of the overall sound which is on a different level to any previous earphones I have owned. I hadn't realised how strong and solid a soundstage my MP3 could produce until I plugged these beauties in.
They are als ...

Having spent several hours trawling through reviews of inner-ear headphones, I found that most reviewers raved on about the bass response (which IS very good) and the high-end of the Sennheiser CX300. However, there is almost no mid-range response whatsoever. So much so, that I'm trying to return these.
For comparison, I compared these to my Sony Fontopia headphones and Sennheiser PX-200s, both of which give a wide range of response, and both of which were considerably cheaper than the CX 300 ...

The Sennheiser CX300 are FANTASTIC headphones.
The sound quality is superb, and they far outclass my other Sony MDR-EX71slw 'phones. I have the excellent Sennheiser PX100's which I'll try to compare to.
Sound:
Bass...excellent and deep. Unlike the Sony's however, they don't output overblown baggy bass, it is very tight and tuneful and FAST (Bass starts and stops on a dime with the CX300's). To give an example, various dance tracks that have complex bass-lines tended to come over as a slight ...
