I was very sceptical about buying glasses online. However I saw the glasses I wanted in a shop and then saw them on here a lot cheaper. I spoke with a advisor and had a few questions (some stupid ones in there also). He was very good and very helpful. He put me at ease over the different options available and explained clearly what the process was. The glasses arrived in a couple of days and I am very pleased with them. After ordering my pair of Prada glasses amost two years ago, wear and tear meant that one of the arms needed replacing. I called Posh Eyes, gave the model of my specs and was told that replacement arms could be ordered and fitted. Very easy to use and reliable. My only suggestion would be that previous customers should be able to log in and not have to fill in everything from scratch. Its looks as if this only occurs if you are on the "auto-replace" service which I dont like signing up for. Also, there is a 3-5 day delay before shipping so dont get caught out without lenses! Seller was a little unhelpful: Not able to provide me with a proof of postage. Can seller charge the consumer the cost of insuring items that
he is send out?
3.20 No. These items belong to seller until they have been accepted by the consumer. So the seller cannot charge his consumers for carrying risks that heshould bear. See paragraph 3.36 for more information.
3.36 Where goods are lost in transit from the seller to the consumer the seller will need to either send new goods or offer the consumer a full refund, including delivery charges. See paragraph 3.20 for more information.

At Posh Eyes we aim to provide not only some of the best prices but also the best service in the optical market.
In very rare circumstances, items get lost in the post, and the Royal Mail offers business customers no compensation for loss unless items are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery. For this reason, as stated on our website at checkout, Posh Eyes only replaces items lost in the post if the Royal Mail Insured delivery option is chosen. We charge for Royal Mail Special Delivery at cost.
We always advise customers to choose Royal Mail Insured, and this is the default delivery option on our website. We were able to provide the Royal Mail order number on which the customer’s item was despatched as proof of delivery. Julian Gooddy, Managing Director, Posh Eyes
