They are very intelligent dogs, obedient and loyal as long as they are trained well. They are very flexible and adaptable and will fit in easily with your routine. They are quick learners, and eager to please you. They're very loveable and friendly with children and other dogs, they are not at all aggressive and they become a part of the family pretty much instantly. They also love to play with people, as they love the attention and are an energetic dog breed- therefore needs plenty of exercise ...- Read kikigoldendoodle's review (264 words)

We have been delighted with our Golden Doodle girl - she is the most fabulous family dog, and her blond curls are universally admired. Most importantly, as experienced dog owners, we have been amazed by her capacity to learn new things - as far as training goes, she is a real girly swot! We started as we meant to go on, and even at 7 weeks, she knew to go to the toilet on command, sit and drop toys. That said, I wouldn't necessarily like to see that big brain untrained, as it would have a large ...- Read Guest's review (237 words)

These are extremely high energy dogs which need lots of daily excersise. If you cannot devote time to multiple daily walks/runs/playtimes or cannot afford doggy day care several times a week, this is not the dog for you!- Read Guest's review (58 words)

The Golden Doodle is exceptional around children and a loving family dog, also a very good working dog, although not as fast as spaniels.- Read Guest's review (35 words)

Fantastic all round dog. Intelligent, fun and almost house trained from day one! A joy to have in the house.
Ours loves water, and is constantly dirty but that's part of the breed and you have to factor it in. Don't get one if you have cream carpets.- Read Guest's review (95 words)

The Golden Doodle is the most wonderful companionable dog. Is very enthusiastic and can therefore bowl one over so needs kind but firm training (we used clicker training and our dog has responded well to the control and use of games / tricks to keep him mentally stimulated)- Read suefoster's review (78 words)

Overpriced crossbreeds. My own cost the price of a standard poodle,
buy standard instead. Being sold in breeding puppy mills, as often as pedigrees. Ensure you buy from quality parents and all home reared.
I only bought for low shedding and infrequent illnesses.- Read Miffy9's review (65 words)

Golden Doodles are not a dog breed. Why would anyone spend money on a mixed breed mutt that can be adopted from the dog pound? Also, these dogs are not "no-shed". All dogs shed. Comments about a mixed breed dog can only be made about the dog itself and can not be indicative of the "breed" in general, because it is not a breed. So, with these dogs, proceed with care. If you want a low-shedding dog that is friendly, good with kids and a good retriever, and highly trainable, get a standard po ...- Read minaldo's review (111 words and 1 comment)
