Written on: 16/01/2013

My parents got a doodle for my younger sister. she has down syndrome the her physio therapist recomended a dog. she said doodles were good. when we first got her like all dogs she would shew shoes and slippers, strangley enough she would only chew my moms and DS sisters. one day she chewed a favourite pair of slippers and my sister cried. she has never touched slippers since. she often takes food of the table or counter, muffins are her favourite. she will stare at you if you are cutting meat… Read Full Review

“Fantastic Dog!!!”

Written on: 18/09/2012

I grew up with Golden Retrievers and was always a 'pure-breed' type. If you told me that I would own golden doodles, I would have laughed at you, until I got to know the breed and have owned and seen many. They are the best of both world's, with the amazing personality and looks of both dogs. They are phenomenal with children and incredibly intelligent. I would recommend this breed to everyone. Also, they are used a lot for therapy work and excel in it, because most dogs that do therapy work… Read Full Review

“It's not a poodle it's a doodle!!”

Written on: 05/09/2012 by loveyourdoodle (1 review written)

I received my goldendoodle as christmas gift when i was a teenage ager. I'm now married and love her just the same. Her name is Zoie she is a handful, but I wouldn't have it any other way. She was easy to train eager to learn and love her personality. She will do what she wants when she wants. She is my fluff ball. I take my doodle every where with me. People walk up to me wondering if she is a stuff animal. She is probably the most cutest dog you will ever see i'm not just saying that because… Read Full Review

“Five Star with reservation”

Written on: 04/05/2012 by Goldendoglover (1 review written)

I love my 9 mos. standard goldendoodle. He has become a smart, wonderful, respectful and sweet dog. He is everything I had hoped for when I was looking for a dog after my pitbull passed away. My pup is great with dogs, very good with small children and very social with people. He is a goofball at times. He is becoming well trained pup. Having said that, the breeder was right, goldendoodle will test you as a pup. They are smart and will need lots of mental activities. Be prepare to keep… Read Full Review

Written on: 08/01/2011

My Goldendoodle puppy is 11 weeks old and is the light of our lives. She is so pretty and her downy fur is gorgeous!! Her name is Bailey and she already answers to her name and sits beautifully. I had a Westhighland White Terrier for 17 years and he was lovely but very independent and did everything on his own terms. Bailey loves to be with people and is great with my sister's Cocker Spaniel Mabel. I love my Golden Doodle - she's like a real life teddybear. The breeder was great and has been on… Read Full Review

I have a 2yr old Goldendoodle called Boo and I really cant imagine my life without her. She is an absolute pleasure to have around the house and extremely intelligent, fitting into family life beautifully. My lady does not moult (my son has allergies, hence getting a doodle) although sometimes I think that may be more of a hindrance as her fir does matt if left too long but there are some fantastic tools that can be used to deal with this problem. Boo is such a joy to have around, she plays… Read Full Review

We've had our Goldendoodle for two weeks now - he is 13 weeks old and adorable. Everything a lively puppy should be and some more. He is lively, inquisitive and playful. Not over boisterous and loves to play with our young grandchildren. He has learned toilet training really quick, considering he came from a breeding farm and not a home environment. We can't wait to take him out for walks once he has had his second injection. The vet gave him a 100% checkover and was completely happy with… Read Full Review

Bought a lovely gooldendoodle for my active parents in their 80's. It is a great dog, gentle, fun-loving and with a great sense of humor. Each of these dogs are different and so is the price, so shop carefully. We hope to train this dog to perform some basic tasks around the house as he wants to please. This particular dog does not noticeably shed, but that can be dog specific. Suggestion, make sure breeding parents are hip dysplasia free. Personally I love the more active breeds (like the… Read Full Review

I can't tell you how much I love my girls.. from pups they have been adorable, loving, kind, intelligent and easy to train. They have fitted into our family perfectly.. lying quietly at our feet.. they don't jump around house/furniture.. they don't bark excessively (couple of woofs when Heidi hears the door).. great with visitors.. they don't lick or slobber all over you.. they are… Read Full Review

I have had a golden retrieve in the past and she had to get put down due to old age about 5 years ago, and from my experience of her was life changing, she was the most lovable and well trained dog, I am now looking for a golden doodle puppy and this is the only comment that I have read that has had problems with the golden doodle, they are intelligent and easy dogs to train so i wouldn't blame the dog for not doing what you want it to do!!… Read Full Review

Very expensive as far as grooming. Doodles matt easily and require a lot of brushing. I am a dog groomer and can honestly say that most doodles are neglected as far as their coat goes. They are always coming into my shop matted. Then due to the matts they have skin problems. Don't get a doodle unless you are going to take care of it… Read Full Review

Written on: 20/05/2010

My experiences with a male, now nearly a year old have not been enjoyable. I thought that Old English Sheepdogs were the dumbest breed on the planet until this dog. Training classes have not helped as even the trainer said either live with the dog or have it put to sleep. He chews everything, chases his tail endlessly and has a chronic barking problem. Based upon my experiences I would not recommend this dog to anyone… Read Full Review

I found this review not helpful because we've a golden doodle and are looking for another. It's the first time we've ever heard someone actually complaining about them. Doodles are brilliant dogs all round, so basically they're priceless!

I have a 9 mo. male golden doodle. It has been quite a ride. There were times I questioned why I got him. He was the nippest pup I have ever owned.. He would go after you if you would not let him socialize with his dog friends. He was at time HADD at training class. He was always looking for something to do even if he knew it was wrong. Having said all this, he has always been such a love bug that you could help to keeping working with him. In the past month, he has calmed down. He is focus, calm and very affectionate guy. He is not into everything and I can trust him (except in the kitchen). He is doing very well in his advance training class. What happened -- He went to doggie daycare twice a week in addition to his daily walks. He needed to socialize with other dogs and get more exercise. All Goldendoodles are not the same. They can be high energy, but most I have met including my dog are very loving and sweet.

They are very intelligent dogs, obedient and loyal as long as they are trained well. They are very flexible and adaptable and will fit in easily with your routine. They are quick learners, and eager to please you. They're very loveable and friendly with children and other dogs, they are not at all aggressive and they become a part of the family pretty much instantly. They also love to play with people, as they love the attention and are an energetic dog breed- therefore needs plenty of… Read Full Review

Written on: 17/12/2008

We have been delighted with our Golden Doodle girl - she is the most fabulous family dog, and her blond curls are universally admired.

Most importantly, as experienced dog owners, we have been amazed by her capacity to learn new things - as far as training goes, she is a real girly swot! We started as we meant to go on, and even at 7 weeks, she knew to go to the toilet on command, sit and drop toys. That said, I wouldn't necessarily like to see that big brain untrained, as it would have a large… Read Full Review
