I've been airgun shooting for 35 years. These are the worse pellets \\i've ever used, even the 'Bulldog' & 'Marksman' cheap ones I used as as schoolboy in the '70's were better made. It can't even be excused that they were part of a bad batch, as I've bought cans from separate shops some time apart. Even just looking at them in the can, some had distorted skirts, others malformed heads. There was also loads of metal swarf in the bottom of the tin. My .22's are an early '60's tap loader... All you guys out there who write bad reviews on these pellets, keep 'em coming, these top class pellets are getting cheaper by the minute thanks to you learner gunners with inferior guns and inferior eyesight. I use SMK Spitfires in my Brocock aim x Grand Prix pcp. I doubt theres a more accurate pistol on the market, and I can tell you for sure the Spitfires are phenomenal in this gun, and no different to those rip-off pellets at three times the price. I hope that not too many of you... (read more)

Cant believe how many poor reviews there are about these pellets. Tried them with my various different rifles including a cheap/ basic B2 and was able to shoot 5p size targets at 25 meters! with grouping less than half an inch....im not saying im the best shooter but with a cheap £4 scope on my B2 I was getting the above results, to me the problem is the shooters or poor zero'd scopes. Therefore good pellets, great accracy and worth a buy! (read more)

These pellets were very inaccurate through my Air Arms TX 200, grouping was around 3" at 25 yards! Washing & lubing did help a little closing the grouping up to around 2" still with the odd flyer though, this is very poor for 25 yards. I weighed a few pellets from the tin & found about 1 in 10 was a grain or so lighter than the rest! The variation in weight was vast compared to a quality brand, perhaps this was the reason for all the flyers? The quality control/consistency of this brand is... (read more)

I bought a couple of tins for some backyard plinking, I washed and lubed them before use, and guess what pellet on pellet 10 shots out of ten at 15 yards, 1 inch groups at 25 yards. So I thought I'll take them to the shooting club and try them at 30-60 yards. At the club some of the more older shooters immediately frowned at the idea of me using the smk spitfires. When I asked them why they immediately said they've heard they are a poor performing pellet, "heard" I said. To my surprise this... (read more)

There are so many complaints about these pellets but at the end of the day they do what they say, They fire in your gun. I found for the price i paid these pellets were all right you can't blame the accuracy of the pellets before you judge your own shooting first. i found that when the sights are set correctly and i aim at the target and fire, the pellet will hit the target and if need be i will compensate for my aim. The pellets are fine its more likley peoples shooting is off rather than... (read more)

These are rubbish. They are dirty and look like they've been used as fishing wieghts. And so inaccurate you can aim at your target and shoot yourself in the face. Buy RWS superdome. Anyway i'm trying to watch bear grylls so sod off. (read more)

I bought these pellets a while back, and think i have used around 20 of them and ditched them. I used them in a BSA Lighting XL and couldnt get any type of group. I only bought them because the shop never had what i wanted and for some reason the guy recommended these.
I have just bought a brand new S200 and thought i would try them in it, only shot 3 before i decided i better not use any more. There was no accuracy whatsoever, they made a funny pinging noise when i shot them, which cant... (read more)

cheap useless pellet
i shot a 5 shot gruop and only 1 pellet was in an inch of the bull.
if i where you spend a bit more money and get a decent pellet like bisley magnums or long range gold because the smks jamed in the barrel and when i loooked at half of the pellets the skirts had big chunks mising out of them and most where deformed in some other ways.
STAY CLEAR OF THESE PELLETS THEY ARE RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!! (read more)

SMK Spitfires will never win any matches, nor will they give spectacular results - but at the end of the day, they do the purpose that they were designed for.
Make no mistakes - Spitfires are "cheap and cheerful" pellets, so don't expect too much of them. They perform ok, but you won't be swept away.
It's worth remembering that these pellets aren't half bad for the price.
Despite what other members have said about these pellets, I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't require... (read more)

Cheap pellets and it shows.
In testing the SMK Spitfires pellets I sighted up at 27.5yds (25m) at a regular Bisley paper target. I was seeing the difference between a quality pellet (Bisley Super Field) and these and whether it made any difference.
From the 4 pellets that actually hit a score (2 missed rather unbelievably) they were 1,2,3 and 3. Compared to the Bisley's grouping of 4,4,5 and 5 (5 is bullseye).
Now, I'm not the best shooter in the world but shot from a standing position... (read more)
