Myself and my neighbours who get up early have had sporadic water outages in the mornings for around 3 months, meaning we daren't run baths or put washers on. Yorkshire Water have never taken the initiative to communicate with us, and when we have rung them we have had an unbelievable amount of empty assurances, promises that the work (following a problem with the mains supply which meant that our water had to be re-routed putting us at the back of a queue with a housing estate getting their... their prices have doubled over the past 8 years.
i was quoted £336 a year for 12 months water with
Yorkshire Water Services Ltd even though i live alone and i am on a meter.
in 2008 my bill with yorkshire water worked out at about £50 a quarter but in 2009 yorkhire water have put up prices massively. (despite all the rain we are getting)
they certainly send a lot of paper work too, i have had maybe 8 or 9 letters from them in the past 3 months, even though i have always been ahead...

I have had the best service ever from Yorkshire Water Services Ltd. I used to be with severn trent and I had a burst and they did nothing for 6 weeks I wasn't on a meter however with YW I am on a meter and I had a burst which made my bill go up to £1105.58 they gave me an allowance and I only paid £84.62. Customer service was excellent and came across friendly. (read more)

I would like to make you aware of an instance last year when I was unable to pay a bill I owed to Yorkshire Water Services Ltd. I am disabled and had to move to a more suitable home adapted for the disabled. Yorkshire Water sent bailiffs to my old address who because I was not there went to a neighbours home and demanded to know where I had moved to or where I worked.
The bailiffs, although not directly employed by Yorkshire, were very unpleasant to say the least.

I have just received my bill in which it stated I'd had an 'Automated Meter Reading' at 34.00m3 for water used. Trusting these rednecks less than, Colonel Custer, I took my own reading which was 27m3 ! Its a shame all these utility suppliers are no better than the banks. Can't we lock these fat cats up , or, just stone them?
