Pros: Prices are very appealing.
Cons: Customer Service.
You need to register to the website to place an order but then, even after you have placed the order (and then you have become a customer), there is no way to comunicate with the shop via email or webpage.
you will need to call them, chase them, be patient and I recommend to not take their words if they say "I will do it immedialty, I will get back to you before the end of the day". Finally I will probably have my issue solved, but after more than a month I cannot use the item I bought yet.
Perhaps this is due to the period I made my purchase (close to Christmas) and they are very busy. But I find really unacceptable that I had to chase them several and several times to get this issue solved.
Custumer services must be improved, otherwise this shop will remain a big "NO, THANKS".

Before ordering I asked them if they could deliver in 2 weeks. Answer was yes. After 1,5 weeks I called them and asked if it's already shipped - answer no, they didn't receive it from supplier, but they promised to deliver it in ~4 more days. After few more days I received a letter from them saying that my card is invalid.
BE AWARE!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!- Read Guest's review (63 words)

Their website can't tell you in advance what they do or don't have in stock, and when you order it takes two or three days before they even give you an update. They then tell you your item is out of stock (they don't seem to carry much stock at all) and they have no clue when it might be there. They don't update you, you just have to keep phoning them (you can't email). The phone is frequently engaged and when it isn't you often have to wait on hold. They are cheap but the savings aren't worth t ...- Read wwarby's review (112 words)

I purchased a Lumix FZ20 here a few years ago and the service was great. BUT subsequent attempts to buy various accessories have met with total apathy.
Bristol Cameras might like to take note of the other reviewers (especially in these days of the crunch) and change their online system to only show iems that are really in stock. I emailed them about my dissatisfaction and no-one could even be bothered to apologise! They must be doing very well to show such a lack of concern. I just bought a L ...- Read thebeaz's review (101 words)

Ordered a Crumpler Muffin Top Half Photo backpack from Bristol Cameras - was the cheapest price on the web (£69 plus £5 p&p), ordered it on 5th August and received it today (8th August) by 1st class recorded. Well packed. Can't fault the service, price or product.- Read brandybob's review (48 words)

Bristol Cameras appears good value but slow to process orders, can be difficult to contact and seem to have little interest in keeping customers happy or trying to help. Competitive prices. Very poor customer service.- Read Guest's review (35 words)

Ordered a lens and a flash gun from Bristol Cameras. Lens in stock and delivered fairly quickly; flash gun quoted as 1 -2 weeks delivery, it is now 7 weeks and still no sign of it. I never get an update from Bristol Cameras, just an apology every time I ask.- Read FlashGun's review (59 words)

I did not like the camera I purchased from Bristol Cameras and wished to discuss what would be the best camera to exchange it for. Instead I just got a standard returns e-mail and a very late refund of my money (2 weeks after it was delivered my Royal Mail).I thought by shopping on-line but locally was a good thing. I wish I bought from Amazon....- Read DotH's review (87 words)

My current impression is that they are good to deal with providing they can simply take your order, find the item, and despatch it. Anything more complicated sends them into a tailspin. I ordered two items on the same day, each of which was useless without the other. They have sent one but could not source the other. I am trying to get a replacement or refund but at present have paid out but have nothing I can actually use. I have found this very difficult and I do not recommend bristolcamera ...- Read scbevans's review (117 words)

Looked to be good value for money! Ordered online and had email confirmation of price and order. The day after the order was rescinded by Bristol Cameras saying that the price was incorrect and had increased by approximately £300. Not changed on the main Google search only on their own website, even 3 days later.
I feel that this is falsely informing the public by having a competitive price on the main search page. By confirming the order they had agreed the first price but then rescin ...- Read lynnen's review (108 words)

If you elect to pay by BACS, it works like this: you select your goods and they email you confirmation which includes a reference number. You then make an internet payment using the number. They then wait until the transfer is CLEARED into their account. They then send you the goods, or, if not in stock, they order them from their suppliers which, their website announces, normally supply them within 48 hours.I did my internet payment 29 days ago, it went out of my account 26 days ago, their bank ...- Read nickreviewcentre's review (213 words and 1 comment)

Bristol Cameras could not deliver item on time and took two weeks to inform me that they still did not have an estimated delivery date.
Would love to support a small online business but unfortunately I can't on this occasion because I feel they did not deliver the service advertised to me.- Read Indigo10's review (61 words)

Despite Bristol Camera's website stating the item I wanted was in stock and would be despatched within 48 hours, nine days later I still hadn't received it. It took several attempts before I was able to contact them by phone. When I eventually spoke to someone, I was told the item wasn't in stock and wouldn't be available for another week. No-one had bothered to inform me of this fact.
This is appalling service. I am now waiting for confirmation that I have been refunded in full.- Read mccaig's review (108 words)

This was two years ago so bare that in mind. Ordered a flashgun from Bristol Cameras www.bristolcameras.co.uk and it arrived fine. Was cheapest I could find online from the UK.
I seem to remember there was a problem with the order (not specifically their fault). They left a voicemail on my phone. I called back and got through easily and it was all cleared up.
I've not needed any further equipment (as yet, although am looking now), and I would quite like to use these guys again. ...- Read Guest's review (108 words)

Their website says: '12 month UK guarantee. All stock is UK sourced and sold with a genuine one year guarantee as standard.'
'UK sourced' does NOT mean it has a UK guarantee. Before I ordered my Nikon SB-600 speedlight, I telephoned Bristol Cameras, as they were cheaper than some other sites. The man assured me that this had a UK/EU guarantee, and that it was not a grey import.
The flash arrived in a Nikon box that is creased, marked and generally bashed about. This in turn had been put in a ...- Read stillmagic's review (217 words)
