    Good Points: Recoilless stable and accurate


    Bad Points: Limited range for other than target shooting which is restricted to 5.5 - 10 metres.


    General comments: This Anchutz Match/Mod 250 was the type of air rifle used by the British Army Biathlon Team as a training replacement for their normal 0.22" weapon.

    When I first came across this Anchutz Match/Mod 250 in the late 1970s it was way out of my price bracket.
    A friend had one, he competed at Bisley and regularly came home with trophies. My Fienwerkbau Sport 124, while again a quality German build, with a pedigree for competition winning wasn't in the same class. 2 years ago quite to my surprise while sipping tea in my local gun and ammo supplier shop, right in front of my eyes it was sitting on the rack begging to be bought what a bargain for & ...
