We purchased a car from here with an oil leak we were told had been fixed, claimed it on the warranty, which only covers £1000, not worth much on a £7K car. All the tyres were replaced at purchase, cheap yes, badly fitted all leaked air no sealant had been used in fitting. The sales staff told lies mislead us, were generally uninterested. This company does not deserve anybody's money. If your reading this then honestly, do not waste your time with them. They refuse to be held accountable to a car which was sold with problems, after months of arguments, they are still refusing to pay for the work which is necessary. We bought a Vauxhall Insignia from these pirates this year. I should have walked away when I found the brake fluid reservoir had no cap on it despite having been "checked". The car had also been mot'd in house and was given a clean bill of health with, apparently, nothing requiring any attention. Yes, I too have had this experience. I had to rectify work that they had done under the contract of sale plus had numerous issues within the first couple of months of owning the vehicle which cost me hundreds. Their after sales service consists of pointing out you've bought a used car and you should expect problems no matter how serious, therefore they are not interested. I also question their MOT standards as a couple of items on my vehicle should have been at least an advisory.

I have had a similar experience with similar indifferent "what do you expect from a second hand car" excuses. We've probably been sent the same template letters. I am now taking them to the small claims court for the hundreds I have spent on repairing the car I bought from them within the first 4 months of owning it. Biggest mistake I ever made was buying this car and I can only assume that the people giving good reviews on this website are high. Or carworld employees.

An unprofessional money grabbing company with no interest in customer service. The price you see will pretty much be the price you pay, which is fine if a) the car isn't overpriced b) the service you got to ensure you walk out 100% feeling happy and secure in the knowledge that you will be looked after should a problem arise! always happy to pay that bit more for good customer practices and c) if they made sure you didn't drive out of there illegally. “The worst garage I have ever dealt with”

Bought a used car from Car World. I discovered a major fault within a few days of owning the car (cost approx £800-900 to fix). The car was returned immediately. I was told it would be fixed in full at their cost. The after sales team (After Sales Manager and Workshop Manager) then spent the best part of a month trying everything not to fix the problem, or at least get the car back on the road with minical cost to the garage. STAY WELL AWAY Your part ex will be worthless here and they are good at taking it off you, the cars they sell all have major defects from ripped seats to engine faults, some cars are unsafe for road use and have been MOT passed by an idiot or mate ready to lose his licence. Any cars that are totally on their last legs i.e. scrap, are pushed to Direct Cars, so don't buy from their either. Purchased a car from this garage what an awful awful experience. We agreed a deal over the phone following inspections and paid a 500 pound deposit. I asked them for proof of the failed part as I didn't believe the abs pump was faulty as the car had recently passed mot and had full service, I've still not received any proof from them.

After looking at the cars we liked, we decided on one, took it for a drive and paid a deposit for it. My wife went back a few days later to pay the balance and that is when the problems started. She was paying by a swipe card (not that unusual), was told that a 3% charge would be made for this ! “Terrible After Service. Dodgy Cars”

I bought a Mazda 6 from Car World and had problems with the keys from the start. I took the car back 4 times and I was advised that they wouldn't repair the spare key as it wasn't under warranty and they failed to repair the main key which got worse over time, they refused to replace the key.
