i found a car for my girlfiend on autotrader from car world, peterborough, within an hour we were on our way from northampton to look. we got slightly lost on the way and was helped over the phone by amember of staff. once we arrived we found the vehicle open and had a good look round pointing out the excellent condition of this 10year old golf, only damage to the paint on the back bumper letting the vehicle down. we went inside and was greeted by a friendly member of staff and once test driven we agreed on the listed price as they would not budge whatsoever but they did insist on servicing the vehicle before we took it away so we pick it up in 3 days which is abit akward for us as its 60 miles away but the salesman is coming ack out of hours tocomplete the handover which is nice of him. touch wood we dont have any prolems with the car over the coming years... would deffinatly recommend them!!

I found buying a car from Carworld very simple. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I saved nearly £900 compared to local car dealers I visited. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy a car.

Car World Car Supermarket, is fine till you have paid your money. after sales service poor.
my car was unsafe to drive after coil spring broke and caused a blow out.. they would look at the car if i took it to them but how could i ? it would cost more to transport than the repair cost. trading standards agree they should collect the car but the just refuse. If you have problems hope it happens at their garage or you will be left stranded- Read sclass jack's review (100 words)

Fine to buy a car from car world car supermarket but just hope you dont have problems with it. I bought a Saab 93 and within six weeks the coil spring broke causing a blow out which terrified my wife who was driving.
They will only look at repairing the car if I take it to them but they are 40 miles away and with a broken spring I cant drive the car.
A solicitor and the Governments Consumer Direct agree Car World should collect and repair the car. They refuse to collect it.
So if you do brake ...- Read sclassjack's review (174 words)

I went to Car World Car Supermarket Feb 08 and looked at a 05 mondeo zetec s. The car was £7995 and compared to others on the market was over priced by £1000. I was offered £3400 for my 54 astra 1.4 on part ex!! ok I said knock a grand off the ford and I might be interested, I was told no we sell 200 cars a week and we don't drop our prices, I laughed at the salesman and left..........it is now Feb 09 12 months later and the car is still there at £5990!!!! 200 cars ...- Read icarus045's review (95 words)

Car World Car Supermarket, Peterborough, has a good selection of cars at competitive prices. Helpful sales persons. The car purchased was reasonably priced, but make sure all controls are working correctly and check for wear and tear.
i.e windscreen wipers
also power output (cig lighter) had no fuse in the fusebox.
These are small things but can be annoying after paying thousands of pounds for the car,
I would recommend carworld but beware of the low part exchange price.
Best to buy without tr ...- Read Guest's review (101 words)

I was looking for a small used car. To be honest peterborough has a lot of used car dealers, and therefore plenty of choice. I found the presentation and knowledge of the sales consultant excellent. I had test driven three cars before deciding to buy my new car from carworld. I will definately recommend my friends and family to carworld as I found the whole car buying experience so easy, quick and hassle free.- Read Samantha Nixon's review (98 words)

Was searching internet for a diesel estate with not high mileage, couldnt find anything at right price near to home but found 1 at Car World Car Supermarket in Peterborough, which was 35 miles away and I had never heard of.
Trade in price offered could have been a little higher but acceptable, car ready to collect next day.
3 months warranty with car. Have taken it back to have a hand brake problem rectified and found them to be very helpful.
Would definately use again.- Read doglover1's review (91 words)

A wide variety of cars to peruse as they are all open, well presented and laid out in appropriate order. Staff left us alone to look around until we asked for assistance. Although my local supermarket (Croyland) was on more modern premises the prices were substantial cheaper in Peterborough. It's worth going to Carworld but don't expect to haggle with them.- Read jonny boy's review (102 words)

The fault was coolent is low every 3 weeks which we topped up. I call them about it they said it mite be a pipe that was lose so I didn't rush to get it in because i live 40 miles away and then it run out of warranty. And then after that it started to stall so I put it in a local dealer and a £1000 later all Carworld can say is it out of warranty.- Read wadeooo's review (107 words and 2 comments)

I had been searching high and low for a Ford Mondeo diesel. After a fortnight or so of looking, my local Ford dealer found me one. I put down a deposit and arranged a test drive before even viewing the vehicle, but on the day of the test drive I found the exact same vehicle on the Car World website with 3k miles less on the clock than the one the main dealer had, AND it was almost a thousand pounds cheaper. I went back to the main dealer, got my deposit and placed it on the vehicle. The sales gu ...- Read J1Green's review (240 words)
