Went to Jefferies Farm to look at a BMW 3 Series. Was greated by a young lad who was very helpfull, knew what he was talking about and offered to take us for a test drive. I was interested in the car so i was pasted over to their sales team where things started to go wrong. I was intoduced to Pat who's main selling point of the car was that it came with Two keys. We will not use these people again. We bought a Ford Cmax from them, and we're initially impressed with their service. After picking up the car we went to the South of France for our holidays and this is when the nightmare began. The car just dying on the in the fast lane of the motorway. Luckily we were covered for European breakdown so we were put up in a hotel for three nights, car being towed off the motorway costs was covered, but the garage coud find nothing wrong. We bought a Zafira from these people and collected it with 5 kids in the back. It broke down on the way home. With our confidence badly damaged we really wanted a refund but JF assured us that they would collect the car and fix the problem. They did this and said it was a 'fuel line'. we had a strong suspicion that they had actually filled a diesel car with petrol - we asked for a refund. We met with the head honcho's son (with dad listening in) and he vehemently denied that there was any... (read more)

We were greeted in a friendly manner and given a stock list. The cars are laid out in a huge warehouse plus located outside the building. They have a huge selection of over 750 cars. Most popular models have a choice in excess of 10 to choose from. However, the prices are not much better than dealer prices and there's no haggling. Plus a mandatory charge of approx. £100 to get your car ready for collection should you decide to buy a car. For example they may have the same... (read more)

Brought a vauxhall corsa 2007 plate April 2012, from Crawley. Since day one it has been a nightmare! The only reason they sell them so cheap is that they bring them into the country. I had issues with insuring my vehicle as my plate did not exist. I have problems with police, as plate is not recognised in data base systems. So after accepting the number plate situation, we believed to have a good car. One month after purchase my car started to play up, juddering, cutting out, so phoned... (read more)

I have never paid badge price on a car without a haggle and believe in 2012 you should be entitled to do this. Jefferies Farm West Sussex was a pleasant experience for me unlike some of the other reviewers. In fact, I didn't get anything described in the other reviews which makes me wonder whether it's a rival company trying to lower the reputation of Jefferies Farm West Sussex. Jefferies Farm in West Sussex have always provided me with an outstanding service. From the moment I stepped foot in their courtyard, I could tell they were a business that I wanted to deal with. They answered my questions each and every time, and didn't use the "technical" professional speak that many other car dealers choose to use. I'm a first-time driver and approached Jefferies farm with the idea of purchasing my first car. I have had exactly the same situation with a 5 year old 1 litre, 3 door Vauxhall Corsa (23,000 miles) which I purchased from Jeffries Farm in Crawley in July 2012 for £6,000...another imported car with Northern Ireland plates. From within a week or so of purchasing the car I have had the heater matrix fail which they repaired under warranty. However, I continued to encounter issues with the blower unable to emit warm air at all. They said they had already undertaken the repair and that was that!! I then had to have the top mounts on the front suspension replaced but I still encounter a creaking suspension and a leaning car. On top of this the brakes keep locking but when they checked them I was told there was not a problem! Finally 8 months after ongoing heater/coolant issues my head gasket has failed with irrepairable damage to all 3 cylinders. The car is now a mechanical write-off! They refuse to take any responsibility for selling me an inherantly faulty car, clearly not fit for purpose on the basis their warranty expired after 6 months. They have no post-purchase customer care and are rude and belligerent. I now have no transport to get to work etc and 5 years left to pay on my car loan!!
