I bought this machine for £280 in February 2008. In the course of the past 18 months, I have become progressively aware of the oven being unpredictable. The engineer has been today (Nov 2009), said we need a new thermostat and the cost of this (which admittedly includes the call out charge) is over £212. Like a previous reviewer, I would say: Check out the cost of parts!

The Belling G755 looks good in the shop, but I should have taken note as I wandered aimlessly through the Curry's superstore, that half the knobs were missing. And the reason for this is that they're about as solid as a Pixies mushroom pie and crumble, usually after the warranty has expired. Rubber stopper on glass lid were next to useless and break off easily. Trying to light the oven is also a tricky business but if you're a safe-breaker then it will be a cinch, with the right combination.
