Good Points: We got this package because my client's son's company uses it. Not the best recommendation, but it is what it is. Their marketing department was remarkably upbeat and positive. I got a real person to call me for a free implementation consultation once we signed up. I almost always get a tech support person within a few minutes or less, even late at night, and most of the guys are very helpful (unless you ask them something about CSS)
Bad Points: Very hard to layout and implement CSS because you are only allowed to edit small portions of the page at a a time (top-of-page, left bar, footer, etc) and you have no access to the header HTML. This makes using Dreamweaver or other layout tools problematic. They do it that way to maintain propriatory control of your data (yuk). The templates are dated and there are few of them (unless you count different color variations, which MC markets as separate templates). You can't download your entire pages to your own hard drive and generally have to copy or delete files one at a time, which is a PITA if you happen to have accidentally loaded files into the wrong directory.
General comments: MonsterCommerce is better than many products, but there's tremendous room for improvement. Oh, did I mention that their WYSIWYG editor doesn't work with Internet Explorer 7.0? It probably never will, either, from what I gather from the discussions their forums.

I know what I said in the "Good Points" section, but as I type all our issues out, I realize I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. If NS wants MC to continue, they're going to have to give it a ground-up overhaul.
