Always have an excellent time here. We find the decor to be cosy and warm. The food is always to a high standard. My favourite is the haddock!, absolutely massive fish and always tasty. My fiancee prefers the steak pie though, again a large portion with plenty of veg and tatties!. The service is also always excellent, we find the staff to be friendly, helpful and quick, we've never had to sit wondering where our food is!. All in all a good choice for a meal out and well worth a visit. (read more)

I have been to the Four Mile quite a few times as its lovely food, lovely atmosphere - either casual and cosy in the lounge area or more formal in the upper and lower restaurants, and you really get a good plateful for your money; the overall cost for your meal is very reasonable. Staff are polite and friendly also. The rice pudding dessert was to die for!! (read more)

Recently moved to Aberdeen and still getting to know the top places to eat out and was recommended the Four Mile House in Kingswells by a colleague. The restaurant is owned by the same owners as the Ferryhill House Hotel which we have also been recommended to try. The Four Mile has plenty to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed catching up with family one friday evening. The interior is stylish and comfortable and the staff are friendly and attentive. The overall service was quick, there was... (read more)

Went here for our Xmas works do and thought it was fab. Was quite surprised as last time I had been was years ago when it was a very old fashioned carvery. It has really changed, quite trendy now but a comfy atmosphere. Meal was much better than your usual Xmas mass produced meal and service was really friendly. I thought it was pretty cheap for a Xmas dinner £22.50 for three courses. I think there are new owners and perhaps they were keeping the price down to attract new... (read more)

if you are going with a large party (more than eleven) do check first. We had a party of fourteen and the evening did not go well.we were not advised before about numbers, staff were unwilling and inexperienced to compromise, and evening could have ended in disaster. We did eventually get service but as we had foreign visitors in the party ,it did nothing for Scottish hospitality (read more)

Had not been here for ages as I remembered Four Mile House Carvery, Kingswells being a bit run down but someone at work recommended it to me - what a difference - its really bright and up to date now. We had a super meal and the service was really friendly. There was a nice atmosphere so we stayed for a few drinks after our meal. Only downside was that the car park surface is in a bad way! We decided to choose the four-mile at kingswells as it advertises itself as a family-friendly restaurant. The service was fair although the staff were obviously very busy. This made for a slightly tense atmosphere. My main complaint was the complete lack of flexibility with the childrens menu. When we asked for mashed potatoes instead of chips we were told this was not possible as the kitchen was very busy, also when we asked for marshmallows on the kids ice cream (which was on another item... A colleague at work told me that the Four Mile House Hotel had recently changed hands so I visited with a friend at the weekend for lunch. What a surprise we got when we arrived. There is new decor throughout, the place has a refreshing new look and a nice new menu to choose from. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Overall, a very pleasant lunch outing. Will definitely be going back! (read more)

Decor is plush but odd taste with fake flowers, fake berries and a big news 24 screen?! Also dodgy Julio Iglesias/Diana Ross music on too loud. Service very good and friendly. Prices fair and nice to have a kids menu. Caesar salad good but daily special not so special with overcooked dry veg. Would not go back to Four Mile Horses Carvery in Kingswell. (read more)

Ate at Four Mile House Carvery on 15th April - lovely. 4 girls who go out to tea pretty regularly, thought we'd try there since it's been taken over. Furnishings really nice, food v.good indeed only downside was service a bit erratic! Really chuffed that it was so good as was pretty awful before and now I know where to go to eat locally which will be as good as anywhere in town! (read more)

Would and have already recommended Four Mile House Carvery, Kingswells to anybody who likes good food and plenty of it.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, quality buns to nibble on whilst waiting for meal. Reasonable quick service. Haddock beautiful vegetables good to perfection. Ham and fresh pineapple salad best I have tasted. Price very good and on a par with other eateries with less quality of furnishing. Waitresses attentive.
Best we have been to in north east for meal for...

Varied selection on menu and with carvery. Carvery is overpriced and meat and side dishes are lukewarm. Other dishes look good, taste reasonable but have a bad effect on our stomachs! Have tried three separate dishes on different occasions and all have the same effect on both of us. Atmosphere and music in bar area awful. A shade better than McDonalds with karaoke. Had wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt but will not be returning. (read more)

I think the Four Mile House is a great place to eat. It's new specials menu that changes monthly caters for all tastes. There is also a fab kids menu for the under 12's.
Keep up the good work.
