    Overall, the Samsung VP-D230 is a very nice camcorder, apart from one thing... It is absolutely horrible to hold!!

    It has all the features you could want on a mini DV camcorder. Great picture quality, sound is alright, night vision capture (not very good though) and a 2" LCD viewing screen. But the reason I wrote this review is that their ergonomics team need firing!! It is just so awkward to hold, that I've stopped using it for any length of time.

    To zoom you need to have 6 fingers on one hand, as the position of the zoom slider is really not best when palmed and strapped in.

    All this is of course personal, but then that's the point of this site! 8/10
