Good Points: Beaches, food, people, accommodation, sunsets, diving, snorkeling, fishing - everything!

Bad Points: Long travel time from UK.

General comments: We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day holiday at Bazaruto Lodge. We had a superior chalet right on the beach, which was simply but beautifully decorated, and furnished in an African style with a large outside shower.

The beaches on the island are stunning! The sand is powdery soft and squeaky clean.

The food, although served buffet style, is superb, and not at all repetitive. Lots of fresh fish and seafood, salads, and the chef bakes gorgeous cakes! The barbeque's on the beach are a real treat - lobster, fillets of beef and African dancing!

All of the staff were excellent and very helpful. Particular praise for the organising of some lovely excursions.

There is excellent diving and snorkeling with lots to see. A day trip to nearby island Santa Carolina (Paradise Island) is a must. We had the privilege of having a pod of 8 dolphins swim around the boat on our way there.

This is a truly magical and utterly unspoilt place with the best sunsets you will see. No better place to enjoy "sundowners".
