As a tradesman I am use to sharpening tools (drills, chisels etc) and frankly this sharpener just does not work. The constuction is light weight and the sharpening media appears to be strips of abrasive which wear out quickly. The packaging details all that this sharpener will do - don't be fooled - like a lot of American products it 'talks a good game'.It may be effective on cheap knives but on a quality knife(say Wusthof)not so. The Chef's Choice multi edge manual knife sharpener does the job it's described to do, sharpens well and leaves little bits of the blade on a cloth when you have sharpened any knife, a good item to have in the kitchen. can be awkward to hold onto if you are disabled. (read more)
