My partner bought me a promise ring from Warren James which I had a reaction to. My finger had a rash where the ring was and also looked as though it had been burnt. I went to the doctors and he informed me that I may have an allergy to nickel which is used to harden gold. My partner went back to Warren James and bought me a silver ring instead which I had to wear on a different finger, and again it reacted. I've been a customer of the leicester store for years and always receive horrendous customer service!! I only keep punishing myself into going back in as they do a style of earring which I'm not allergic too, like I am to most. Necklace sets in the window are the overall price.
For example, if in the window a necklace was displayed at £15.00, there would be 2 items on the reciept, £10.00 for the pendant, then £5.00 for the chain. This is done for stock purposes through the till system.

I bought a ring about 10 months ago at the shop in Burnley. The assistant told me and my wife it was white gold with a centre small inlay of 9 carrot gold it was £80 Yesterday I tried to trade it in and was told by a jeweller in the high street that it was worth £5 and it was silver with a very tiny ammount of 9 carrot gold. unfortunately I have thrown the receipt as I would have gone to trading standards (please do not buy from this chain of shops) (read more)

My partner bought me my engagement ring just over 12 months ago and I mean just over 12 months. I think it was about 12 months and 2 weeks or around that. The other day I looked down at my ring and was horrified to see the diamond had fallen out. I spent hours looking and luckily found the diamond. Bought two wedding rings from here as we were on a budget. My engagement ring is 18 c white gold from goldsmith s. I didn't expect the same quality from warren James but didn't expect my finger to turn scabby, itchy, cracked and bleed how it does! My point is that warren james obviously use other cheap nasty elements / metals to make up the ring or other items they sell. Having never ever had a reaction to other jewellery purchased from other jewellers my point was to warn any other potential customers of what may happen to them should they also choose to buy from a low end jewellers. I hope this now clears matters up for you!

The whole experience was terrible! Sizes came wrong, re-ordered size bigger and it was still too tight and then we could not exchange it because if they don't have your size in stock then they order it for you and call it special order and if it does not fit you you can only re-order it once! £400 wasted! We are not allowed to give out head offices' details, as for the bracelet, it sounds like the staff at that branch are lazy as the branch that I am based in, we will change claps in store, free of charge.

I made an awful error in judgement the day I walked into Warren James in Norwich. I bought an 18ct White Gold solitaire engagement ring in a size M. I purchased a 9ct white gold weddin ring from there around june ready for my wedding in november last year.. I'm allergic to base metals.. I cant wear it for more than a day at a time as it makes my finger swell and an angry sore starts appearing.. It's not faulty because its uncomfortable for you you purchase shoes and they could be uncomfortable but you wouldn't go back demanding a refund! Ridiculous!

would you accept going into H Samuels or Ernest Jones to purchase something meaningful and it be presented in a "recycled" already used box that somebody else has returned ?? i dont think you would.. an engagement ring in a scuffed box and bag that someone else has used. maybe you should think before writing reviews in the near future!

My partner and I purchased our wedding rings here. We both had our fingers measured in store. When the first ring came back it was too small. Apparantly it was the size ordered. I thought ok maybe it was my mistake, but then my partners ring came back and we had the same problem, it was too small. I exchanged my ring for a size bigger but my partner was told that no other rings were available in the next size, he would have to spend £50 more to get a different ring. Not good when the idea... I handed in a CV at the nearest warren james to myself, i then received a text message from one of the members of staff threatening to make sure i do not receive the job she claimed she would make sure of it,
i then rang the branch to ask for a head office number or details on customer services and they refused, they claimed all i can do is go into the shop and write a fromal complaint, this would therefore be infront of the employee who had been threatening me. (read more)

The store staff at the Luton branch were both approachable and knowledgeable in diamonds assisting me in choosing a beautiful 3/4 carat ring for my daughter, no particular occassion just wanted her to have something of quality and meaningful to remind her that only I want to be the man in her life; given that recently she has had so much disappointment in relationships. “I would strongly recommend that you do not buy...”

I would strongly recommend that you do not buy anything from Warren James, I have recently made 3 purchases all of which have broken and are definately sub standard, i bought a diamond ring for £475.00 and within 3 weeks the diamond had fell out. The manageress at the Reading store is both rude and un co operative and blamed all of the faults on me she actually accused me of deliberately breaking the chain of a diamond necklace - why would I?
