    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    BEWARE!

    I have ordered office seating and was told delivery would be 3-5 working days; I am still waiting 7 weeks later!

    If you try to contact the "customer service" department you will be on hold 15mins + (if you are lucky to get an answer). They will promise to call you back.... they won't! If you email them.... you will not get a reply!

    When you eventually get hold someone, they will after an elongated conversation agree to cancel the order.... but insist that "acounts" will have to call you back...... surprise surprise... nobody calls!

    I am still waiting to be credited!

    Do yourself a favour.... keep away from them at all costs!

    PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

    Just an update from problems from last month.

    Despite an e-mail confirmation my order had been cancelled (and that took five days to get it out of them)and that my credit card would be refunded in 5-7 days. Guess what? NO REFUND AT THIS TIME.

    It is now in the hands of Credit Card Company.

    Want to report this company to the OFT and Trading Standards but you wonder if it is worth it given this from Glasgow City Council.

    Would also have given them a 0 if I could. Apparently a bunch of clowns. Six weeks in - no sign of goods. Have requested refund and, obviously, no sign of that either. Got a couple of messages in response to my numerous emails saying they were 'dealing with it'. Off to Benidorm with the cash, more like.

    Wish I had read reviews before I ordered. EVERYTHING that people say is true.
    We received two chairs within two days - fantastic! The other part of the order (2 tables and a cabinet) have still not arrived 5 weeks later.
    I may as well have paid the Oyez Straker prices after the waiting on the premium rate phoneline.
    ABSOLUTE GARBAGE - DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

    I placed an order with furnitureatwork and it took just under 3 weeks for the chair to be delivered and then they sent the wrong item.

    I have spent 20 minutes on hold on their phone line and not been able to speak to anyone and they dont reply to emails sent to their contact address.

    Avoid this company at all costs!

    Was recommended this company by a client of mine so assumed they must be good, BIG MISTAKE!

    Good points:
    - Order went through without any problems
    - Most of my order was delivered within a week of payment

    Bad points:
    - Zero communication, apart from one call from them regarding a table I had no idea when anything was turning up. If it wasn't for the fact I work from home I dread to think what would have happened to the filling cabinest and storage cahinest I ordered if I hadn't been in.

    This company should be closed-down by trading standards.

    Premium phone line, on hold for average 20mins each chase up call, if i had known that i would have ordered from harrods !

    Do not use, ordered and received excuse after excuse to why the product has not arrived.

    Still not arrived 5 weeks later.

    If I could give no stars I would !

    Placed an order with this company without checking any review sites as I was given their brouchure by a colleague who I assumed had dealt with them before.

    Never use this company. I placed 2 orders, salesman guaranteed me delivery dates, neither arrived. I then spent numerous hours on hold to customer services requesting the order be cancelled. I still have not had a refund on my card. This company deserves negative stars. It has cost me phone bills and time in return for a load of frustration. Avoid!

    Have had the dubious honour of dealing with Furniture at Work over the last 2/3 years (had to have all the office furniture match)- don't think there has been a single delivery, return or credit that has gone smoothly. They are an absolute nightmare - to be avoided at all costs!

    3 months after cancelling and returning an order that was only partly delivered I am still battling to get my money back.

    Their policy is not to refund any order until all delivered items are picked up. They quite simply don't bother picking cancelled orders up. Please bear in mind that this was an item that was delivered weeks after the original order was cancelled (and left with another address). Their service is appalling and their business practices are bordering on illegal.

    Oh dear - I phoned Furniture at Work to order a computer trolley/desk ..phoned to make sure it was available on 24hr delivery. I was told it would be here yesterday, but was concerned to get no email confirmation of the order or payment.
    Phoned yesterday and was told it would probably arrived today and was on their system as a 24hr delivery item.
    Judging by the large number of negative reports here, it looks like I may have to contact my cc company eventually.

    AVOID! Absolutely atrocious service from furniture at work. After speaking to someone on the phone before purchasing to verify next day delivery, bearing in mind this was for items from their 24 hour express range, I was left without any office furniture for 3 days because items were not in stock. After several phone calls and complaints to managers, I was told that it would be a week before all the items (from the 24 hour express range) that I ordered would be sent out to me.

    Furniture at Work say the items are in stock, they are not. Getting a refund has been so hard if not impossible. I am still waiting.

    My advice is don't go near them. I would like to give them zero stars but the website will not accept this input.

    Good price for product or that is what i thought when i ordered on the web site. But I will never use Furniture at Work again or recommend them. First order sent with some items in the wrong colour. Second order still hans't turned up. It has now been just under 5 weeks from order. They never ring you back and you are on hold for ages on thier premium rate customer services number for them to fob you off. If it wasn't part of a matching set I would have cancelled the order.

    DO NOT BUY THROUGH THIS COMPANY!! If you are unfortunate,as i was, and you encounter a problem, please be warned..once Furniture at Work have taken your money...there is no after sales service. There customer service is there only to line their own pockets.     If I could give Furniture at Work 0 stars for everything I would. Absolutely shocking customer service, I had the same problem as a previous reviewer in that my item was out of stock, but I only found out after chasing them up. It's been nearly two weeks now and still no sign of my item, customer service people sound bored and uninterested and will give you any story to get you off the phone. Avoid at all costs.

    Agree with all negative comments regarding this firm as they parallel my experience. Ordered on 13 July 09; told items in stock, card debit immediately; told 5-10 business day delivery.

    Calls to Furniture at Work 'customer service' on 21 July, 28 July and 30 July all basically said what others report: polite (generally) but totally uninformative. They will only say "next week" for delivery but will not give day; will defer to 'transport department', who does not call. They are not at all pro ...

    Furniture at Work is the worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer service!!!!
    I ordered chairs for our office in January 2009. One was never delivered & this took 2 further weeks to arrive, without an explanation or a signature it was just dumped in our reception. One was broken and needed a replacement part. I waited a month for this only to then be told they couldn't give me a part, but could order me a new chair. I was then told that this would be a further 2 months wait ...
