General comments: Furniture at Work is the worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer service!!!!
I ordered chairs for our office in January 2009. One was never delivered & this took 2 further weeks to arrive, without an explanation or a signature it was just dumped in our reception. One was broken and needed a replacement part. I waited a month for this only to then be told they couldn't give me a part, but could order me a new chair. I was then told that this would be a further 2 months wait for the chair, so I asked for it to be refunded. This then took a further month to sort out, as there were issues with them not wanting to collect it as the box had already been thrown out...something they were well aware of. I was finally told at the end of April, that we would receive a full refund for the chair. It's now July & I still haven't received any money back....apparently they're still waiting for confirmation the chair was collected (something they already had from me). It's been the most stressful experience of my life and I don't know how they are still in business!!!

i ordered my product but Furniture at Work failed to tell me they did not have it in stock for another 4 weeks, if i had not of phoned to ask where it was i would still be waiting now.
it took 5 phone calls over 2 weeks and a threat of getting my credit card company involved to get my money back.
at no point did the comapny make any effort to help and i had to make all the effort.

I order an office chair from Furniture@work. I started to suspect this wasn't going to be a pleasant experience when I did not receive any confirmation of order email from them, only from my credit card company to tell me the money had been taken from my account. I had to then make approx 10 calls to the company to ask them first to give me confirmation that they had my order on their system and then to find out when I could expect my order. I ordered a chair from Furniture@work. Their website is very deceptive and looks very modern and functional. They state that chairs are normally delivered after 24 hours. I ordered from Furniture at Work on 12 March. Partial delivery two weeks later, second partial delivery two weeks after that, then nothing. I phoned and they promise to phone me back but nothing. I phone and they promise to e-mail me back, but nothing.

I would not recommend a friend or anyone else to place an order with Furniture at Work.I placed an order for a desk and a pedestal on Friday 13/3/09 with delivery supposed to be within 5-10 working days. Furnitureatwork.com is frankly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Faulty goods, slow/no refund even after the item was picked up. Customer service is awful and, don't bother contacting anyone senior in the business with your issue, as they won't grace you with s responce (I tried to contact the Head of Ops ). Dreadful - please avoid.

My son ordered 3 office chairs from Furniture at Work , all arrived quite quickly but all of them were not suitable for use. The two bigger ones, the bolts did not fit and they looked as if they were second hand, marked and dirty. The smaller one the lift arm didn't work. We purchased a fairly expensive leather chair for our MD from this company and the chair is faulty. The chair has a warranty to cover this, but we seem to be getting nowhere with this company!
We have written e-mails, made at least 8 phone calls and promised to have a manager call me back and much more.. But nothing yet!
The only explanation they have given so far is that their supplier has gone bust! That's nothing to do with me, I didn't buy from their supplier. I paid Furtinure at Work Ltd., ...

I ordered a stool from Furniture at Work to be delivered within 5-10 working days. It's been 21 working days and I've yet to even receive a call about delivery. I've emailed and telephoned numerous times but get nowhere. I've now written to their head of operations and if it's not resolved will take the matter to the small claims court. Furniture at Work have failed consistently to resolve the matter with me, offer me any solutions or even have the courtesy to call me back to update me.

Furniture at Work has polite customer service. Despite being polite, promised follow up never actually happened after any of my 5 phone calls. Cancelled my order following lots of delays and then being told it was out of stock for another 2 months.

I had 2 desks, 2 pedestals, 2 bookshelves delivered from Furniture At Work in good condition and within the time stated. Product is fair quality and good value.
A wheel broke and fell of one of the office chairs within a couple of weeks from new. I photographed this and emailed it along with a request to get it sorted under warranty asap. My customer account manager has apparently forwarded all the information to "Customer Services".
Good products and good prices aren't enough without great cust ...

I ordered a large amount from Furniture at Work, desks, chairs etc for a new office i was opening, without going into too much detail, various items were missing! I would have desks without the frames or drawers, chairs with wheels missing! considering the amount of money I spent I expected better service, although when I 1st called they were very keen to sort this problem, but call after call and day after day the missing parts never arrived, and if they did, they were the wrong parts!!

Furniture at Work offer very fast delivery and are keen to help on the phones.
One set of shelves had the wrong runners sent, the correct ones were sent out quickly though.
We have bought several thousand pounds worth of items which have all arrived promptly. We continue to use this company as our first port of call for furniture.

I have ordered folding tables and when they have charged me they forgot to let me know of a little minor detail (the way they regarded that) this minor detail is that it was OUT OF STOCK... the worst thing is that I don;t remember them trying to contact me. Appalling experience. It took 6 months to complete my order - I was sent the wrong furniture, repeatedly sent damaged pieces that needed replacing and took 3 weeks to arrive - some replacements were more damaged than the originals! They consistently made mistakes over what was ordered. Finally after 6 months I had all the furniture required (3 bookcases and 2 desks) to refit the office! I was promised a £150.00 refund for the problems. They didn't credit my account with one returned desk ...
