    Appalling refund mentality.

    My wife bought a suit from the shop for an interview which she wanted to refund. On the 7th day (Saturday) she telephoned the store to say that she would not be able to return it to the store for a refund until the Monday because her elderly disabled mother (who lives about 90 miles away) had broken her leg. She was told that the policy was completely inflexible and that if the goods were returned on the Monday there would be no refund.

    It is like a Little Britain "Computer says no" - disgusting for what is supposed to be a prestige store.

    Before returning a pair of once worn heels (£160) that were bordering on defective, I did a little googling on LK Bennet's customer service and wasn't encouraged. However, the Fenwicks concession in Newcastle couldn't have been better with a no quibble refund. A lot depends on the staff, and I'll continue to give them my business. Only fair to mention the good as well as bad service I think.

    I was sold a bag - within 3 months, the handle frayed & the tiny leather tags that were the only way to close the zip fell off (they were less than 4mm wide and frayed with a tiny amount of use - less than 10 uses of the bag).I took the bag back to the shop. I had a receipt & it was c. 3mths since I bought it. The shop refused to give me a refund.     Have finally secured an unwanted credit note after hubby bought me a dress in the LK Bennett sale as a Christmas gift.

    Having a bust and not being tall, their clothes do me no favors, thus a credit note is useless as I don't wear suits and none of their dresses/skirts are cut in a flattering style for me.

    I have never shopped LK Bennett and never will, it's quite clear I am not their target market, so now I just need to to unload this credit note.

    L K Bennetts customer service and ability to process an online order is beyond appalling! I have never experienced such a horrendous online or lack thereof service. I order shoes on 16th October 2008 and I am still waiting for them. It took nearly three weeks for them to charge my credit card and then they did not despatch them from the warehouse. I have been advised that they are being delivered by fedex however the order has been cancelled and has not left the UK.

    I cannot agree more with the previous reviews LK Bennett's Customer Service Department is the worst I have ever dealt with. I bought a pair of shoes for £110 which I felt were faulty and they sent them back to the store twice and said there was nothing wrong with them. I personally took them into the Head Office in Cavendish Square as I did not receive any return calls from them. They were posted back to my home address without even a covering letter.     I bought a pair of susan sling backs in April for my wedding in August. I 'wore' them 3 times for dress fittings, only in the dressing area of the salon, it became obvious on the last fitting when she asked me to walk up and down that the shoes would not stay on and the straps dropped off before I had taken five steps.     The shoes used to be fantastic a few years ago but the designs have lost a lot in the past 4 to 5 years. Now it seems that the company only buys shoes from designers and only copies them, which is shame as their price now almost reaches the designers' prices. This leads me to the point about prices. Shoes at LK.Bennett were quite affordable but the prices have gone up recently and not in a good way.     I wish I had read this review before buying my shoes ( £119) a lot of money to spend on shoes that turned out to be sub-standard quality. I sent them back only to have them returned, with the comments that there is nothing wrong with them.     Great service,lovely looking stores(very shoppable) and amazing product.     If you purchase any goods from LK Bennt during the sales and for any reason the item does not quite fit properly, you will need to throw t it away as you cannot exchange it nor get a refund. A shame no one tells you that at the point of purchase nor it is printed on your receipt ( which in any event would be rather late to find out).

    LK Bennett was once upon a time one of my favorite shops, but after having to deal with their customer services regarding some faulty (£110) shoes, I will never buy anything from this shop again. I have been refused a refund or exchange, and the unfriendly customer service advisor then proceeded to post the shoes back to my home address (non recorded delivery), and now the shoes are missing, and I can not get anyone to respond to my phone calls...not really what I expect from a high end H ...
