Some mixed reviews for this company, but I purchased a Gorillapod SLR-Zoom tripod and ball head for the best price anywhere. My order was dealt with the next morning, dispatched the day after that, and arrived with no problems at all.
Can't fault Bristol Cameras on that showing!

After initial reservations about Bristol Cameras after reading the reviews I placed an order with them. they sent confirmation email by return, followed a few hours later with an email to say the order had shipped and a tracking number. It allarrived within 3 days of the order, despite being in the middle of a postal strike. That's a thumbs up from me!- Read Guest's review (62 words)

Order a DLSR camera bag online. 4 weeks later nothing. No response to my emails. Seems that they are trying extremely hard to alienate customers and are wishing to go bust. I would avoid them at all costs. Not recommended at all.- Read Guest's review (41 words)

Only part of my online order recieved from Bristol Cameras, despite all items ordered showing as "in stock". It took numerous phone calls to get hold of them, as nobody ever pics the phone up. I've been waiting over 5 weeks for some screen protectors and a monopod, but worse still, i was told they would sort it all out over a week ago. Poor communication, unkept promises. Not good. I won't buy from them again, even if they are the cheapest option.- Read Guest's review (137 words)

I moved to London from the US to go to University. I decided to buy a camera while I was here and found a good deal at Bristol... until I tried to pay for it.They told me that they would not take my US credit card. Oh well, they lost 1200 quid and I got a better deal on ebay.Good luck running that business in this economy fellas, being rude to customers on the phone will surely see you through!- Read Goblinmerchant's review (91 words)

Good price for a new Canon Powershot SX 10 IS bundle, and I did get through by phone to check the stock availability! Once placed, the order was despatched and arrived as promised. This would have been a 10/10 if the rechargeable batteries had worked! Bristol Cameras have so far promised twice (by email) to send more batteries, but they have still not arrived, which is frustrating. Shame really, for them and me.- Read Guest's review (84 words)

Ordered a Canon G10 from Bristol Cameras as a leading High St Retailer had let me down at the last minute. Had heard of Bristol Cameras from friends who were happy, so I gave them a try.
They are very keen on price it seems and have a nice, easy to use website.- Read Guest's review (141 words)

Bristol Cameras emailed me saying there was a problem with my credit card (never happened before or since). I spent the best part of a day trying to get them on the phone. The number they sent me via email was non-existent/disconnected, two other numbers I got from their website and through Googling are either permanenetly engaged or never answered. I wish I had seen this site before I tried ordering from them.- Read Guest's review (82 words)

If it's out of stock, tell the customer. If a call back is promised - then do it. Poor communication means I won't recommend, nor deal with Bristol Cameras again.- Read richclee's review (33 words)

As I live in Bristol, Bristol Cameras were my first port of call when I wanted to trade in my old EOS 400D and upgrade to the newer EOS 50D. Their price was very good and they gave me a reasonable trade in value for my old camera. I would be happy to recommend them from my experience.- Read eosuser's review (83 words)

Bristol Cameras hold little stock and their ability to put things into the post is non existant. They don't answer the phones. They loose paperwork. My experiance to date after they claim to have sent items to me twice is that they are con merchants taking profit from undelivered goods and their 0844 phone number.- Read dayatstandish's review (72 words)

I can't believe how miserable this company are. I had a Nikon SB900 on order for over 8 weeks. Then they canceled my order with a curt note saying the price had now gone up. While I'd been waiting Pixmania were offering the same flash (in stock) for the same price that Bristol Cameras were offering it. I decided to be loyal to Bristol Cameras but look where it got me.- Read zimmy0's review (84 words)

I placed an order with Bristol Cameras for a lens, wanting to have it delivered to my work address. As this is different to my credit card billing address, their site said I had to pay by BACS. Their system came though saying that they would send through bank details for me to pay into. 14 days later, nothing from them at all.
I won't try buying from them again.- Read CaptainBlue's review (72 words)

Initially, seemed to be a competitive price and good communication via e-mail updating order status. A week after ordering, Bristol Cameras told there in fact IS no stock! It will be delayed by 2-5 working days. Tried phoning for an update after this time. Eventually got through to be told item is still out of stock (it was only a camera case for heavens sake).
Very disappointing and misleading to say they have stock, when in fact they do not. Therefore we are all enticed by the supposed g ...- Read Guest's review (130 words)

Having read the other reviews on this site, I decided to phone Bristol Cameras first to make sure my item was in stock. I was after some binoculars that had been discontinued by the manufacturer, and Bristol camera were selling for a really great price. I did not find it difficult to get through on the phone and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was assured that the bins were in stock and could be shipped ASAP. It took about a week and another phone call for them to be shipped (due to ...- Read mike n's review (152 words)

I ordered a tripod and head from Bristol Cameras- I read all the other reviews but the price was just too good so ahead I went with my order. Almost a month passed and still no goods. In this time I've phoned twice - first time informed that they the head is out of stock. OK fine I'll wait. Next time I call both head and tripod are out of stock?? - hang on I ordered a tripod, surely one should have been put aside for me when it WAS in stock?? If you ask how long it's likely to take - it's a ...- Read Guest's review (113 words)
