After three days of waiting for my "next day" delivery, I phoned the shop (why no email?!) to be advised that my item was on back-order from their supplier and I may receive in "a week or so". A week on, no delivery, no update and a another phone call to the shop. Fobbed off with film-flam, disinterested sales assistant so, I cancelled my order. Still waiting on refund to my card... my first and absolutely last experience with Bristol Cameras. (read more)

They keep no stock. Happy to take your money instantly, at which point they will let you know that they do not have the items in stock. I have been waiting for three weeks now. I have phoned them twice for updates. On one occassion a very bored assistant made snotty comments, but was clearly not interested in helping me. On both occassions they promised to call me back with an update...needless to say I am still waiting. (read more)

I have made several purchases from Bristol Cameras over the years and have found them helpful and polite both on the phone and in person in their shop in Bristol. My most recent purchase was a used Canon EOS 60D. I was after a new one but the staff member pointed out that they also had a used one if I wanted to save some money. The money I saved I put towards a nicer lens for it which was fantastic. I regularly recommend them to friends and family. Prices are very good, comparable to many... (read more)

I will never order from this company again. They are untrustworthy, you place your order, it goes from "pending" to "acknowledged" ? What in heaven's name does that mean ?? I phoned and asked, it sounded like the person answering was moving his lunch off his keyboard. He never answered my question but said he would call back and tell me about my orders. No phone call but an email much later telling me when I might expect my order. At no time was I informed that my items were on backorder,... (read more)

Bristol Cameras phoned me today to let me know that the filters offered are still not available but they will send an alternative manufacturers in lieu if that was OK with me.
Seeing as how I'd given up on this issue and purchased my own filter, I decided to accept the offer anyway. I now await with bated breath to see if it will arrive!!

This is a Micky Mouse operation, do not buy anything here!
They do not hold stock so when you place an order they have to get it from the supplier. So nothing will arrive promptly.
