Poor communication, the product hasn't arrived after weeks of promises. Would not recommend to buy from this webpage as info is not accurate

Bought a Fuji xPro100 kit and an extra lens from here in august. The site clearly stated that the lens would receive £75 cashback from Fuji. I sent in the cashback form but it was rejected because UKCamera store were not an approved retailer. Contacted the store several times but after being told it wouild be resolved have heard nothing back after more calls and emails. Fed up of being fobbed off now so will write off the £75 and buy from Amazon in the future

I went to order a Michael Kors watch, by chance I did start a live chat asking if they were genuine, this then went onto a conversation about delivery. Delivery is not clearly stated at all!! delivery is £7 for next day.. however, you don't realise how much delivery is unti you have already checked out and the money has come out of your bank!!!!

I cannot write about the product as I have not yet received it. As a very keen photographer, I wanted a decent bridge camera for my wife, and was attracted by the price, locality of the item and the fact that if you order by 6pm, it is delivered next day. So, imagine my disappointment when, after ordering in very good time and the payment being taken, I failed to take delivery of the camera as no delivery truck turned up. Now, I don't live in the sticks, Manchester is about 75 minutes away, so no weird postcodes or difficult to get to places which might explain it, just nothing. No email, telephone call, zippity jack diddly squat. Nothing from the company. I always wondered about too good to be true, I am sure that there is always some people that have a good experience as their product gets through straight away. Whether this gets resolved by the item being delivered on Monday is one thing, but to advertise a next day delivery when there isn't one really isn't a great advertisement for the company if they cannot fulfil that. I would have been happier if they tried to blame black friday or that they don't deliver over the weekend as at least I would have had an informed decision when I purchased it. Get your systems sorted out.

Hi ,
Do you have an order number concerning your undelivered item so we can look into this for you as we have not received any email or telephone call from you to say that your order had not arrived.

Just to update this review really. The item has finally been received after being delivered to a neighbour. You should also take note that delivery can only be made M-F, but once you miss a delivery, it is possible to pay DPD extra to have it delivered on a saturday. Also, another thing to note is that it is possible to have it delivered to an alternative address, providing you make provisions to do so, and that you don't pay with paypal.
If you have someone at home, then this really is a great place to get a deal, but I think that the website could be a lot clearer. I understand that it's designed like this to draw people in, but you won't lose customers if you were clear, you will do with a poor user experience. Whilst the experience on the web was absolutely fine, for me, it was the getting the item that was poor and difficult and it certainly wasn't the next day. It was attempted on the next working day; you should set expectations clearly and not just hide it away on a separate page...

I ordered a Canon Powershot SX 240 with a Super Kit which was described as including a _replacement battery_. This turned out to be an inferior copy (750 mAh compared to Canon's 1000mAh) and not a direct replacement part, but the shop refused to budge and said it was a "compatible battery" and that "we make sure we do not state it is a Canon original battery". I felt really short-changed by this, it seemed pretty underhand to me and I'd spent what for me was a lot of money on the camera and accessories. As I said to them, if I went to Tesco and went for a "buy one get one free" offer, I wouldn't get one premium brand and the Tesco's own brand as the free one. Anyway, I've waited a while before posting this as I didn't want to write it in haste. Unfortunately I still feel cheated and will not be using the company again. I would advise others to check details carefully in advance.

I have just bought a Canon camera from UK Camera Store. Whilst the price and service was good initially, i was incredibly disappointed when the camera arrived and was not UK stock. In the box (which had been opened) was a 'foreign' charger with a completely alien adapter thrown in. The adapter doesn't quite fit the 2 pin plug and i'm told you have to force it in, which i haven't managed to do as yet as i'm worried about breaking it!

Yes, I also received a Grey Import and sent it back for a (partial, minus delivery) refund

You should also get that back too. My box came opened, with a foreign charger and the box was not an official one.

i bought a camera but was sent the wrong one, i then had to return the camera, at my own cost! consequently it took over a week to get my money back.

I originally purchased a camera from UK Camera Store in mid July 2012. The camera arrived very quickly and was excellent. I gave them a glowing feedback report. The problem came two months into my purchase when the camera developed a charging issue which was probably due to the battery or maybe the charger. Two online messages were not responded to and neither was a telephone message. I sent three emails to which I only got one response. As the camera is used virtually on a daily basis I have had to source a battery and charger elsewhere at my own expense. I will not use them again or recommend them.

Purchased and paid for an item to be told the following day that they did not have any stock! Website advised 10+ in stock. Would not use again or recommend.

after buying a samsung camera, the item arrived after waiting in for 3 days.not 24 hours as stated, this was also after being told by uk camera store ltd, that the camera was in fact out for dispatch on days it wasn't.then eventually receiving it, we opened it only to find no camera in the box. and all we got from the customer services was we'll look into it and if nesseccary we'll file a claim against dpd the courier's. not only is this disguisting, we then find a travel plug inside the box, and when we question this, we find that UK CAMERA STORE LTD actually supply foreign cameras. an absolute joke.

In response to this review firstly can i confirm that this customer's order was placed on Tuesday 5th June, which was a bank holiday and therefore was not eligible for a 24hr delivery. The order was dispatched on Wednesday the 6th June for delivery on Thursday 7th however due to a delivery delay with the courier the parcel was delivered on Friday 8th June. The customer contacted us on Monday 11th June to say the camera was not inside the box however all items are checked by us prior to dispatch. We are currently investigating the matter and we have offered to recover the package contents from the customer and provide a refund. Despite this the customer is currently refusing to allow us to collect these items. An update will be provided when our investigation has been completed.

I am pleased with the Canon Powershot SX40 HS. However the web-site is not as clear as it could be. I purchased a bundle to include SD card, spare battery and a camera case. The battery is not a genuine Canon replacement and will not be covered by the Canon camera guarantee if it leaks or explodes inside the camera. In fact I wonder if the camera is guaranteed at all as the only paperwork that came in the box is for Canada and North America. I am still awaiting my FREE gift worth £4.99. I think that for peace of mind, I should have spent a few quid more and gone to Jessops.

All products are covered by Consumer Legislation if you are sold faulty goods or if a product has been made incorrectly the manufacturer would need to sort that out. The paperwork that comes with the camera is not down to the shop it is whatever the company provides (in this case Canon) and many electronics are notorious for not supplying what the customer would see as substantial paperwork. If you have any doubts why not contact UK Camera Store and ask.

this was my first and probably not my last purchase from the u.k. camera store .first class service and price ,also great to deal direct with a person by phone, well done richard .finally the delivery of my camera was within 1/2 hour of time given which considering that i live at the top of a mountain in rural wales means a ***** star rating for DPD couriers .thank you .

The website claims 24 hour delivery. I ordered on Tuesday evening to be sure of getting delivery on Thursday. I spoke to the firm at lunchtime on Thursday to confirm that the camera was en route. The guy sounded a bit vague and said that 'hopefully it would arrive by 6.30'. It didn't. Took a day off work and was let down. I would not use UK camera store again. Better to pay more and get a reliable service.

Not helpful when camera went wrong

I was waiting for camera accesories over 3 MONTHS from the order! I for one will never use this company again. I have requested help many times and get told the same thing every time "The goods are out of stock and will follow". My advise to the consumer if you decide to use this company is, don't bother ordering the bundles, just get the main item only. The camera itself did arrive in perfect order and quickly. After a long battle and a lot of wasted time I do finally have everything I paid for. Shame I had to take this so far for something of little value.

The day after I ordered a Samsung ST550 bundled with 16gb and a "leather" case, I received a phone call saying that they had shipped the wrong memory card (even though I ordered them as a bundle), and if I returned it they would send the correct one. Since I was going away I needed it quickly so this wasn't any good for me. I tried to contact them but the phone went straight to voicemail. My voicemails and e-mails went unanswered. Eventually I got through and they said I could just return the memory card for a refund. When the camera arrived the case did not fit either (and was a very poor, cheap case). So I sent back the memory card and case for a refund. That was 2 weeks ago; I have not got a refund yet, and heard nothing.
Terrible customer service. If you must use them, just buy the basic camera, not any accessories.

Problem started after delivery of the Lumix TZ7 which was a little later than expected. The camera turned up in perfect condition but the extra Panasonic battery I paid for was not with the delivery and they said it would be sent on. Days went by, I asked what was going on and they told me that the battery was on back order, and that I could pay another £5 for a Panasonic! The advert actually stated I would receive an original Panasonic spare. Since complaining about this false advertising customer services are now ignoring my emails and I am still without a battery worth £30! .

Ordered a camera lens which said was in stock on website. This was ordered 2 weeks ago and said was next day delivery. No reply to emails so rang up and was told out of stock but due in a couple of days time. This was a week ago. Still no reply to further emails. Have asked, via email, to cancel order so hopefully they have but even though asked for a confirmation of cancellation by email have never replied. Very poor customer service.
