Good Points: The hotel is set on amazing grounds and the beach is superb 5 star all the way. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is plentiful. The hotel is about 35-40 mins out of town which could be a good point for some to get some R&R away from the building sites. There is a hotel shuttle and taxi's are very cheap.
Bad Points: The rooms are tired and dated and rather small. Not 5 star standard at all, they are in dire need of a spruce up I would say 3-4 star standard depending on what your expectations are. This is not a major bad point though as your not there to view the rooms and the grounds make up for it.
General comments: I personally thought this was a great hotel to stay at. The outside grounds and beach were picture perfect and away from the town which is literally a building site so having to get the hotel shuttle into town and paying the pennies for taxi's did not bother us at all. I would highly recommend a 4x4 trip into the desert and having the dune dinner (check your meat is cooked) with entertainment it was a highlight for us. And of course there is the shopping...the malls are great but its nothing you haven't seen at home, think Bluewater or Lakeside with classier shops, but the Souks out of town are fantastic, bags and every designer you could imagine, much more fun bargaining with the locals!
I would definitely go back to Dubai and this hotel but probably not for a holiday as such, it is definitely a stop over place or a mini break for some shopping and sun.

I have nothing else.........its a great place to stay if you get a good price at the right time of the season....oh another thing I have forgotten. The second time staying here in which I didn't have reservations I called and reserved a room, well when I got there they didn't have the size room I reserved so they upgraded me to a suite at the price of the smaller room! I was very very happy about this as you can imagine!

The Jebel Ali Hotel in Dubai is fantastic. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and as you step out on the balcony you can see three beautiful swimming pools, and the views stretch right across the Persian gulf. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service in and out of main Dubai hot spots, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. This hotel is definitely somewhere I would stay again.
