    Good Points: On-line support and updates.
    Fast processor.
    TFT L1740 monitor rotates to portrait mode which is handy for reading and editing A4 documents.
    Quiet.
    Handy USB ports on the front.


    Bad Points: Needs extra RAM as 96MB of the standard 256MB is used for graphics.
    Monitor has average quality display.
    Regional settings need to be changed to US to install vid card driver and then retored after installation. Driver is necessary for screen rotation.
    Monitor speakers either missing or don't work. (Haven't bothered investigating)
    Internal speakers minimum quality.
    No DVI (Digital Vid Interface) for monitor.
    No room for additional internal drives.
    USB Floppy disk drive extra.
    Optical mouse extra.


    General comments: HP DC5000 Small Form Factor PC a basic corporate PC for network use.
    Very average, and so far 100% reliable.
    No longer term upgrade options, throw away after 3 years.

    Not recommended for personal/home use.
