Was told the part I ordered was in stock however after 5 days started emailing for status, was told that it was in one of their warehouses and should be shipped in 10 days. The email response is almost as though they contract to an offshore company who uses any excuse not to issue a refund or cancel the order. I filed a dispute and escalation with Paypal and finally the order was cancelled and my money refunded but all in all stay away from this place as there are a number of reputable companies out there who will be up-front about status, cancellations and returns.

I placed an order for a dryer part on a Thursday and paid extra to overnight it so to have it for the weekend when we do our laundry....family of 5. Did not receive the part on Friday as i paid for but was told in "chat session" that it would arrive Monday. I clearly stated i paid for overnight shipping so I would have it on Friday. They stated that Fedex would not pick it up until Friday and I would receive it on Monday. Well in my book that is 2 business days....Friday and Monday. I simply asked for a refund on overnight and to downgrade to their 2-3 business days which I am receiving. I was told NO. That is it bar none....sorry for your luck. We cant refund an order once its placed. I know I will NEVER order from this company EVER again. Family of 5 with 3 teenagers and no dryer! Thanks APPLIANCEZONE for your deushbag service.

If you see this review before ordering, you are one of the lucky ones as you have a chance to save yourself money, time, and aggravation. If you have an alternate choice for ordering your part, use it. Part ordered, email confirmation received, no part though. Contacted their support about it and they sent me a link to request a tracking number. They say it has been shipped but can't provide a tracking number. I have to wait 24 hours to receive the tracking number. Huh? Please save yourself the aggravation. Order elsewhere and don't get suckered like the rest of us.

The Appliance Zone never sent the item I ordered, although I got a confirmation of the shipment, etc. They charged my credit card without sending any item. Worst of all: they never informed me that the item was not available after all! I had to contact them - to find out. It's a shame. DON'T ORDER HERE!

"During a weekend I ordered a part for my GE oven and two hrs later canceled the part. They told me that they cannot stop the shipment. They told me to not accept the shipment and I would be credited back the order. Did all that and then they charged me 25% or $40 for shipping costs....because their operations could not handle a cancelation order (on a weekend) BEFORE the part was shipped! Terrible service, highly recommend people stay clear of this supplier. Once you hit the order key, even on a weekend, they have no way of accommodating any changes. "

The orinigal order process is the only thing this company can do right. They are most helpful hooking you in. They tend to send whatever part they feel like so it is dubious as to what you may recieve. When you try and return the item they act like you are asking them for a favor. They go out of their way to make the return process as difficult as possible. You may be tempted to order from them because the part seems cheaper but consider all the bad reviews this company gets THEY ARE REAL. This company is a beautiful example how how not to run a company. Good luck and go with your gut, order somewhere else.

Appliance Zone has bad reputation for their untruthfulness in doing business with their customers.
They never list on the item list whether they part in stock so everybody assume from the first glance they have it and place an order. In many situations apparently they don't have it. So make sure to chat with them and ask first if the item in stock.
They have tendency to tell that it on back order, which means it was ordered and in process to ship to their warehouse but turns out for weeks or months they not having the part you needed and people eventually cancel the order. That's why make sure to ask about the "In-stock" item and confirm how soon it will be shipped out upon receiving the payment.
They really have competitive prices with other appliance part distributors that make them on top of search engines. If you compare with other big appliance part sellers such as Sears Part Direct, Repair Clinic, Appliance Parts Pros, etc. they usually have best price and shipping options.
On the other hand, you can't get best customer service out of your purchase. If it turns out it improper part or defective, or electric, etc. it will take you a fortune trying to return it and get your refund back. Usually they never refund you for electric parts. For those items cancelled without even getting the part it takes month or two to get your money back even though they tell to refund it within two weeks. Before the final decision you've got to go through a long and extensive explanations with what, when and whys. It happens that they refuse to return not installed non-delivered part. The only way to get your money back is to go through your credit card company with dispute over the non legitimate charge.
If you really need to have a smooth transaction pay a little bit more and have a nice customer service that available over the phone. If it turns out that part defective and dies within a month you will be sure where to go for warranty issues.
Good Luck with your appliance part purchases!

Very poor customer service when it comes to refunds or exchanges. They gave me false tracking numbers and wouldn't respond to emails. Without phone numbers available, I was left to ask for a manager on their online chat. They would not give me anyone else. I wrote a detailed 2 page long report and emailed and faxed it to the customer service manager, Brent Stonecipher and did not receive a word of response. I will not use this company ever again.

they don't have the parts in stock and they lie about it, after you place an order there is no live person to talk to, only online chat with preprepaired answeres. they give you hard time to get your money back when you aks for it. wouldn't buy from them again

I was told the part I ordered was on backorder (only after I contacted them asking where the part was since it had not arrived in a timely fashion). They had me fill out a cancellation form. Come to find out, the part was NOT on backorder (only after I had ordered/installed the part from a different online vendor). Now I'm stuck paying shipping & return shipping and I still can't get anybody to respond to my emails, apologize for the inconvenience, or acknowledge that there's an issue. Contacting these people is a joke. I will NEVER do business with them again. Huge mistake.

Buyer Beware!!!!!
These people are crooks. Ordered a part from them and then got their OK to return it for a refund if I bought another part. Bought the other part and paid extra to get it shipped quick. the second part was more expensive than the first. They tried to tell me that I installed it when I did not! They would not give me my refund so now I'm out over $200. Thank god my credit card stood behind me. DONT SHOP HERE!

Horrible customer service. Don't thing it won't happen to you. Don't use them. Have to take a picture before the item can be returned. Then you can'lt reach them. No phone number means no service. LOUSY LOUSY LOUSY!!!

Their customer service is the worst we've ever experienced. Once The Appliance Zone get your money, you will never get hear from them again.

Absolutely no customer service. BUYER BEWARE. I was shipped the wrong product but couldn't return it until I sent them a picture. I am a film buff. I don't even own a digital camera. This didn't seem to matter to Appliance Zone. They will not use phones or even have a number that can be called. They have live chat but then dump you to customer service which only uses email. I spent 2 hours trying to get answers and an authorization to return my part with no joy. I ended up letting them keep my money and ordering from a reputable company. I only hope that my honest review will keep others from having the same experience. Imagine a guy in his basement pretending to be CEO, customer service, warehouse manager and HR director all in one. What a joke!!!!!! Don't make the same mistake that I made. Am I being clear enough for you. Angry?? You bet I am.

Appliance Zone tells me my order went backorder and but doesn't know when it will arrive I have the right to cancel my order. But it seems that you have to petition for a cancellation of an order, they have the right to refuse to cancel your order even if they tell you its backordered. It was sub 0 weather outside and I need this valve by Friday the week of Jan 13 2009 in Chicago. So all they have to do is say it is in stock and you have to accept their word the next day even if they told you it was backordered 24hrs before. So if the valve wasn't backordered why did it take until Jan 31 2009 for me to get it if it was in stock on the shelf? 17 days for off the shelf item not backordered?

I do apologize but this is an in stock item and we are not able cancel orders that are in stock. Your order is currently in process with the warehouse and you will be notified once the tracking information for your order is updated.

I paid for upgraded shipping and did not receive my order in the time frame it was promised. After spending 3 hours on the phone with this company only to find out it hadn't been shipped, I was told I wouldn't receive a refund for 2-3 weeks. Now I had to buy a part in town so I would be out both amounts through the holidays. I know personally it takes only a business day to process a refund through a POS system. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that the manager doesn't accept phone calls.

I find it ironic that they boast about a low price guarantee and claim they will match any any advertised price, when in my case they didn't even honor the pricing on their own website. It was only 2 days ago that I placed an order for a front burner replacement for my range...I thought everything was great until I got an e-mail telling me their website had the wrong price listed and that they would have to cancel my order unless I paid almost 50% more than the price that I was invoiced and credit card charged for. I would expect a company that promotes it's customer service to honor their mistake and say thank you for finding their mistake so it could be corrected for other customers. But I guess in the honor of our election season they seem to be in keeping with the politicians..Say one thing..Do another!
