After contacting tlc on the phone to confirm there next day delivery policy and that the goods I required were in stock , I started with my online order . Not that I didn't want to order the goods from the person I spoke to but you can't do that and have to go online. All went well and my order was confirmed . 31.12.12 Just over a year ago I purchased on line a Techno CKWS6810 Temperature Station c/w MSF Radio controlled clock from this company. Everything was fine until recently when the outside temperature decided to read 3c to high. First class service with superfast delivery. I placed my order yesterday at 2pm and it arrived today at 1pm, I was informed of the progress of the order and delivery throughout. I have used TLC Maidstone for over 15 years now and I cannot recall ever having to complain. I find the counter staff obliging and technically helpful. Yes, sometimes they may not have a more specialised item in stock but they can normally get it by the next day. (read more)

I buy from TLC on line and also occasionally have visited their premises in Maidstone. I was a bit surprised to see the one star ratings from others as I have always been pretty happy with both the goods supplied and the service I received. My experience has been good prices for branded items that are delivered usually the day following the order. (read more)

“Worst Service Ever”

This is simply the worst online Company I have ever dealt with. Had to return goods as they were inaccurately described on their website. In return, I received a barrage of abuse from their bully boy staff. This seems a common experience if you research reviews on this Company. I would never ever order from them again. Do not buy from these stores. My items were unsuitable so I followed their procedure of personally returning them to my nearest store even though I bought on line. Whilst they agreed to take the lights back I was told in a very matter of fact way that there would be a 15% fee for doing this! I complained that a £60 charge for returning goods was outrageous and asked to speak to the manager who reluctantly offered to reduce the charge to 10%, which was still £40. I asked where it said... TLC is a hugh rip off. We had them give us an estimate on some stuff, nothing really big. They came up with over 5K !!!! Unbelievable !!! A couple days later we had it done for $950 !!!!! TLS offer the worst service. If you drive a nice car, have a nice house in a nice place ... prepare to pay a lot !! We got the job done professionally for 5 times less by Keepers Electric. We strongly recommend them. They are very honest , nice and friendly people. (read more)

As a sparks operating in Sussex, I visit TLC's Burgess Hill and Crawley branches on a fairly regular basis.

Both of these branches have good parking, knowlegable staff, normally have what you want in stock (unlike some other electrical suppliers) and the prices are pretty good.

They seem to be very busy branches, so you sometimes have to queue for a while before getting served. However they always have plenty of staff on hand so the wait isn't normally too long (very refreshing - how... (read more)
