I got my insurance last year in 2013 with sure term, was really happy with the quote as they was the cheapest, I paid in full costing me £754 for the year, aweek after I got a letter saying my insurance will be cancelled if I don't send a copy of my log book, on the letter it says final notice even though it was the first letter they sent, they attract people with cheap quotes but can't really keep up with the insurance as they try find any excuse to cancel, any way my car was stolen i got… Read Full Review

Car insurance policy was cancelled within 3 hours due to vehicle from Dealership being the wrong one and not identified until pick up. Called the call centre which cancelled the policy immediately, however my account was still debited. Contacted them again and was informed that I would be required to post the policy certificate back to them prior to a refund being issued. I have been a customer for many years with no issues until last year, after transfering my insurance to a new vehicle with sure term I was contacted and advised that I would have to cancell this policy and restart a new one, so I reluctantly I cancelled my DD for the original policy and agreed to take out the new policy, 10 months !!! “terrible service on renewal”

I was insured with these imbeciles for a year as they were cheap, for a reason. The time came for renewal so i have been waiting for the letter to say you have so many days to respond otherwise it will automatically renew,it never came so i never thought about it until i opened a letter the other day with my new insurance details! Has just cost me over £18 in phone bills to try and claim back a £10 overcharge and the clock is still ticking as I am still on hold call length at over 42 minutes already and counting needless to say I will be pursuing the jokers for every penny, and also my time and expenses DO NOT USE THESE JOKERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES Apparently i am now waiting for a call back from the people that deal with complaints as they dont have a complaints department that you can actually access… Read Full Review

I agree. They doubled the price my insurance within 6 months and although I have spent a lot of money on calls trying to find an explanation NO ONE would admit it was a mistake. The customer service is incredibly slow and at some point they actually advised me to cancel my direct debit, as in their vision this was the only solution. A week later I received a letter notifying me that my insurance is about to be cancel due to non-payment. A complete joke! I wouldn`t even recommend this to the people I dislike! Total mess and nerve wrecking...

I cant believe the bad service I received from this company. I insured my motor home with them last June and thought everything was ok. In March this year they informed me that they hadnt taken the direct debit from my account since the policy started and that there is an outstanding amount on the account. “Astoundingly bad!”

Generally poor customer service, with a HORROR STORY to boot! I have had insurance with Sureterm Direct for almost a year now and am still regretting the day I ever called them. I have four policies at the moment but vow never to do business with them again, no matter how good a deal they might appear to offer. As with many insurance companies they don't employ enough staff and keep you on hold for an eternity waiting for someone to answer the phone. This is par for the course nowadays… Read Full Review

There is nothing I like about this company. I had a fully paid up policy which I cancelled two days before it was due to expire. They sent me an invoice for £50 for cancelling the policy. If I had let it run until it's expiry there would have been no fee but who would expect to have to pay a fee for a fully paid up policy. I have insured my 4x4 with these people for over 3 years. Got 3 weeks left on the policy and brought a car, sureterm won't insure it, to cancel a fully paid up policy with 3 weeks left to run they are demanding £50. Have 2 asked for a manager to ring me back, still waiting, staff are great when taking out a policy but stroppy when you want to cancel and go some where as, this sort of service is shocking, will never use them again… Read Full Review

Just sold my 4x4 and bought a car sureterm want over double what everyone else wants to insure my new car. I decided to cancel my old car policy to be told the they want £91 cancelation fee. I have already paid 8 months of my 12 month policy that is only going to run 8 months. They have said I still have to pay for the full year policy. I have experienced a lot of problems with Sureterm Direct Limited. I have in total 30 years no claims bonus. All recorded. I had insured a 4x4 with Sureterm earlier this year. I gave them all the details and confirmation of no claim bonus. However they sent me a Notice of Cancellation because they did not receive any details of a 'Gap' in my previous policies? I bought 2 policies with sureterm, one vehicle i sold 10 months into the 12 month policy, I let them know.... Big mistake! They said as i had sold it, i had to cancel the policy and that the charge for this would be £30!! the premium which was fully paid was only £110! Last year having taken out the car insurance through go compare i was told i was covered after ringing and speaking to one of the employees at sureterm direct. a day later i was stopped by the police while driving and told i was uninsured and my car could be siezed at the side of the road i finally managed to convince the police officer myself that i had taken the isurance out and he agreed to allow me to produce my documents at the police station within 24hrs. when i checked the MID database… Read Full Review

“Not worth the hassle”

This company are a joke, i insured with them 2 months ago and still have no certificate even though i have phoned them several times and i get the same reply, "we will post it today" so i have a car now for 3 months that i cant drive as i have no evidence that i am insured. Getting caught with no insurance these days is 6 points a hefty fine and they sieze your car, if they wont even send a certificate then i doubt they would settle a claim. “Avoid at all costs!!”

Renewed with them for s second year and they took off being able to drive to work!! 4 months later they then said I hadn't delcared the milage. Phoned to cancel 5 months into policy and they won't refund a Penny. I'm so glad I have not insured my new car with them. Sureterm Direct DO NOT inspire any convidence at all that your vehicle is fully protected with them. I've now insured my car with someone else (big name insurance) cheaper and with more cover than they offered… Read Full Review
