Good Points: A good family wagon with loads of space, very reliable as long as it is serviced regularly and has cam belts done at right time. My wee boy loves the after market exhaust note.

    Bad Points: None to mention

General comments: This is my 4th Subaru, the previous one being a 95 WRX which was written off when I was T-boned by a lunatic who went through a stop sign. This Legacy is a Jap spec model imported to NZ in 1999 to replace the WRX.

The 2.0 twin turbo GT wagon has so much power, even in standard 180bhp trim - the GTB version has the stiffer Bilstein suspension, 17" alloys and 280 bhp. A lovely car to drive be it going up to the ski fields or on a long cruise through the wide open spaces of NZ's South Island.

Very reliable with minimal work done in time I've had it. - only cam belts (a must at 80,000k), cam cover gasket, the odd oil seal leak - what you would get with a 10 year old car. Fuel consumption with Subaru's is not as good as other 4 cylinders (22 - 28 mpg) - must be my heavy foot.

Looking for a "Q-Car" ?? - this could be it.
