Magnet Kitchens has excellent cabinets and designs. However once they have your money beware. There were lots of mistakes made with our kitchen, the fitter kept disapearing off site, we were without a sink for two weeks.
We are still waiting after eighteen months for the work to be finished, we have drawers that do not close and some cabinet backs are hanging off.
My wife has not been the same person since the installation.
    Never again.

We purchased our kitchen from the Dundee branch of Magnet and cannot fault their service. From the moment we entered the showroom everyone was very helpful but not pushy. The designer listened to us and created a super design and we were given all the information we needed to make an informed decision. Everything was delivered on time and nothing was missing. The team of fitters were fabulous. They respected our home and did a great job. A faulty tap and panel was replaced without any hassle and ...

An absolute shambles from start to - well, it's still unfinished... and ongoing.
All arrived ok, but after failing to pick up several issues on the Technical survey and end panels not matching in colour or design to the doors, we are still trying to get our kitchen finished. Magnet have wiped their hands clean of it. Beware of the 6 months interest free finance as Magnet get paid up front! So essentially there is no comeback financially for you.
    Steer clear at all costs!

We spent over £12k on our Magnet kitchen two years ago. Initially they provided a good design service and the fitting went ahead reasonably smoothly. We were however disappointed to notice random scratch marks on the work surfaces and the salesman admitted that the formica quality was not as good as it used to be. We have had a collapsed shelf as it was cut too small and we were particularly annoyed that the bin lids which are made of quite a brittle plastic started to split and finally ...

Don't know where to start!! Total shambles from start to finish. Missing parts, damaged parts, whole units not ordered. The damaged panels/doors replaced with more damaged panels and doors. Used a local contractor instead of Magnet fitters which caused endless problems trying to coordinate the work with the constant deliveries of replacement parts. The designer himself was fine when face to face but whenever we had to contact him for the parts required, funnily enough he was never available. The ...

Purchasing our kitchen from the Basingstoke branch of Magnet we had nothing but excellent service, as we were fitting the kitchen ourselves they gave excellent support and were told to contact them anytime if we got a snag. The design of the kitchen was also to our complete satisfaction.

On finding one of the cupboard doors had warped, a replacement was delivered the next day. Basingstoke branch were helpful and gave us as much time as we needed over the decisions involved in getting the best o ...

Magnet Kitchens totally failed to tell us the fridge unit needed ventilation. Total refusal to admit responsibility. Even after I offered to pay for it to be fixed, the designated fitter never arrived to do the job, except for the initial inspection for which he demanded a full payment, after nearly a dozen calls from me. There was a dispute over who supply the grill. I though Magnet would as the negotiated fee included the grill, and they are a kitchen supplier. But the fitter said, no we d ...

I would advise everyone against buying a Magnet kitchen. The quality of the kitchen itself is OK, but the customer service is worse than bad.

Magnet continually sent the wrong sized parts. Rather than a week to fit my small kitchen it took 9.5 and I settled for a part missing as i was at my wits end. I still have about 20 spare doors and other parts. I did ask Magnet if they would pick them up but they weren't interested.

The sales people who were so charming when they want to sign you up w ...

The planning service was very good and their marketing is fantastic, but none of it rings true in our experience. 9 months to fit a kitchen we are still not happy with. 4 top of the range solid walnut worktops had to be replaced because it appears they warped and twisted and then they fitted one which didn't seem to match.

Had a lovely kitchen installed by Magnet in Fulham/Putney Bridge. Nice colour co-ordinated units and professional fitter who was very tidy and curteous. 2 door handles was missing but the the delivery but Magnet dropped them off the next day. Of course a new kitchen installation is a hassle but all things considered this went very smoothly.

We bought our new kitchen from magnet at the beginning of the year; at first everything was very impressive, the designer seemed to be very sincere and helpful, this however we felt changed the moment the deposit for the kitchen was placed, a catalogue of errors made by the designer ,was made worse by the fact that when we called to say that things were going wrong, I felt he had a total disregard for the fact that our dream kitchen was tuning into a nightmare and that I thought it was his faul ...

We ordered the kitchen from the Magnet Dublin office where they did an excellent job in design as the kitchen area could by no means be described as standard. They gave good advice and discouraged us from ideas that they did not feel would suit the design or the style of the kitchen which in retrospect were correct.
The guy who supervised and did the instillation arrived on time every morning and did a wonder full job of fitting some very awkward spaces. His crapentery was excellent and he was ...

Kitchen ordered 20th May 2008 from Magnet Kitchens. Still not completed. Design was badly done as large RSJ beam in the middle of the kitchen was not taken into account. Sink did not fit the granite worktops and alternative sink had to be chosen. Still waiting for kitchen to be sorted as no allowance was made for flooring under the fridge and then was told by a manager that this was because the flooring chosen was too chunky. However there is no room for any flooring whatsoever !!

The work on our Magnet kitchen commenced on the 7th. July 2008. We are still waiting to get it finished.
The first fitter {contracted by Magnet} made botch after botch after botch. We got the Designer in and he agreed but said that the original fitter would have to be allowed to correct his faults. We had to call the Manager in and we banned the fitter from entering the house again.
Remedial work has been carried out by 2 different fitters ...

Magnet Kitchens turned out to be expensive, when compared to good quality local shops.Failure to deliver all the parts on time - leading to delays.3rd parties failed to install the kitchens correctly & do any prep work. Didn't meet our expectations & failed to warn us of potential pitfalls [cost to rewire etc].A 2-3 week project has now taken 13 weeks & we're still waiting for the splashback!

From the moment I walked in the Magnet Kitchens store, the experience was a pleasant and professional one. Two home visits before ordering and design. Ordering process and delivery without any hitches. And the most efficient and meticulous fitter who arrived when he said he would, fitted everything like it was his own kitchen and completed the job on time. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Having been around the houses looking for the right kitchen we first of all started with the high street (magnet, moben, mfi, b&q) We mistakenly decided to go with Magnet after the flash advertising campaign. Things changed once we agreed on a price and a "surveyor" came around to check your "agreed" design. Things then rapidly started to change! The price started to spiral with "extras" like gas & electrics!! Surely these things should be included in a fitted kitchen price? Anyway we ende ...

I would never use Magnet Kitchens again as in our case they subcontracted their work out, I paid nearly £26,000 and now only agree to make part payment till job done, Magnet sales have never once rang us.
