Good Points: Can`t think of any.
Bad Points: Too numerous to mention. Going to Magnet has been the biggest mistake of our lives so far.
General comments: The work on our Magnet kitchen commenced on the 7th. July 2008. We are still waiting to get it finished.
The first fitter {contracted by Magnet} made botch after botch after botch. We got the Designer in and he agreed but said that the original fitter would have to be allowed to correct his faults. We had to call the Manager in and we banned the fitter from entering the house again.
Remedial work has been carried out by 2 different fitters only doing 2 days at a time between other jobs.
11 weeks next week.

Magnet Kitchens turned out to be expensive, when compared to good quality local shops.Failure to deliver all the parts on time - leading to delays.3rd parties failed to install the kitchens correctly & do any prep work. Didn't meet our expectations & failed to warn us of potential pitfalls [cost to rewire etc].A 2-3 week project has now taken 13 weeks & we're still waiting for the splashback!

From the moment I walked in the Magnet Kitchens store, the experience was a pleasant and professional one. Two home visits before ordering and design. Ordering process and delivery without any hitches. And the most efficient and meticulous fitter who arrived when he said he would, fitted everything like it was his own kitchen and completed the job on time. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

If it hadnt been for Customer Services i would have asked Magnet to take the kitchen back, and give me a full refund because the Branch Manager seemed like they couldnot have cared less

Having been around the houses looking for the right kitchen we first of all started with the high street (magnet, moben, mfi, b&q) We mistakenly decided to go with Magnet after the flash advertising campaign. Things changed once we agreed on a price and a "surveyor" came around to check your "agreed" design. Things then rapidly started to change! The price started to spiral with "extras" like gas & electrics!! Surely these things should be included in a fitted kitchen price? Anyway we ende ...

I would never use Magnet Kitchens again as in our case they subcontracted their work out, I paid nearly £26,000 and now only agree to make part payment till job done, Magnet sales have never once rang us.

I have had my Magnet kitchen for 8 years now. On the whole it's been okay but as others my initial delivery experience was a total nightmare, bits missing, broken, wrong etc, etc.
An issue I have with them now is that one of my drawer fronts has a mark which has just 'arrived' which was not of my doing. I telephoned head office as my kitchen is meant to be guaranteed for ten years. One of their managers came out, told me that he could see it was not something that I had done but could not und ...

Our experience with Magnet Kitchens in Ireland has been fantastic! My Mum needed a new kitchen and she decided on Magnet because of their quality & attention to detail. To begin, the designing team girls in the kitchen show house were very attentive & spent many hours going through the kitchen design with my Mum. They were very very patient & agreed on the many changes that were made even 2 weeks before the fitting. Our fitter/carpenter arrived on site & wowed us with his skills. He's extremely ...

I only have a small kitchen and cost from Magnet Kitchens excluding install and appliances was only £1500. I got my own installer and a separate electrician. I bought all my own appliances separately. This is how kitchens should be done. Everyone else was great but Magnet very very poor. Northampton branch is who i dealt with. I ended up with loads of missing stuff (remember this was only a simple tiny kitchen) and loads of extra stuff too! Getting this sorted was a joke. Because I did no ...

The kitchen has taken over 2 months so far. Yes, over two months! We have opted to have our own builders and have the kitchen supplied by Magnet. What a mistake to go for Magnet! They supplied us with the wrong parts, not listen to our requirements about what we want, keep messing up orders with their subcontractors regarding the corian worktop and is giving us a hard time in replacing a rusty oven door on a new oven we bought from them, which they have yet to agree to replace. I would NOT reco ...

Make sure you design your own kitchen. Do not rely on Magnets designers. Despite all the razamataz about designing a kitchen for your needs. Magnet designers are prone to make mistakes over measurements which leads to landing up with a kitchen that is definitely not designed for your needs. It is lot of money to lose if you rely on Magnet and they get it wrong.

After we had stood about at Magnet for at least 15 mins after admiring at a style we liked, we were still ignored by staff.
We left and rang later for a survey. The guy was with a customer and would ring us back. He didn't. I rang and got through to someone else to ask for a survey and was told they don't do surveys until the customer has chosen a kitchen.
er "thankyou goodbye...".
So glad I haven't spent my £16,000 budget yet, mfi were similar to Magnet, best so far was b&q.
It's not a ...

I would not recommend them to anyone. My main gripe is the lack of service we received. If you like their units, my advice is to get a joiner to buy them trade and fit them for you. Don't fall for the "Full Circle" service like we did!

We are 5 adults in one home, one is 82, one has learning difficulties, we have not had a kitchen for two weeks, YES 2 weeks.
After sales care is minimal.
New worktop will be in store Tuesday.
Carpenter/fitter and electrician now have to be paid for another extra days work.
Magnet, they won't stick to me again. The kitchen was £6,200. Our own fitters extra, Perhaps not a lot by your standards but it is by ours.

With our new extension coming to an end, our building contractor ordered the Magnet kitchen through his own trade account.
The kitcken was to be delivered within the week and then fully fitted by the end of the following week. Unfortunately when the delivery arrived there were units missing, door & drawer covers missing, as well as missing screws, door handles and even the intigrated dish washer. This all happened in November of 2007 and after many arguments, delivery of parts that were not actu ...

In-Design Scotland installed our Magnet kitchen they were so easy to deal with. We decided on a kitchen from them because they offered a discount on the Magnet kitchen we were looking for and according to their web which took a lot of searching (www.indesignscotland.co.uk) site they offered to look after our kitchen from start to finish. To begin with they sent out a designer to talk to us about our kitchen and what we wanted (no sales person so far) they then sent an email with the price of our ...

When I ordered my new kitchen from Magnet, I was served by a very pleasant sales person. However, the bad points were too many to mention. Cheap units, expensive appliances, and bad fitting. I eventually ended up changing my Magnet kitchen after 15 months, and going to an independent retailer (of the sort that everyone considers 'expensive') and I was amazed. The carcases were by far, a more superior product, and they offered a more extensive range. The price, even competing with the 50% off ...

Doncaster Magnet was a dream! No problems what-so-ever. Our designer was great! She drew out our design by hand, 3D perspectives - the lot, no computer 'cheating'. Expert knowledge, and at a fair price too.

Having had good service initially, things went downhill with Magnet Kitchens from there.
We were told that the kitchen would be fitted in full, within 3 weeks, it was actually 5 months.
Spot light fittings under the cupboards have discoloured and tarnished. The tamba unit roller has split across the chrome slats and on another tamba unit the base has worn away exposing the chipwood beneath it (so much for solid units!).
After 5 months, Magnet have agreed to change the unit with the broken sh ...

The island unit that I bought from Magnet rocks (and they say 'all islands move'). The sink is cheap rubbish (not according to what I paid mind you), and the tap rocks on the flimsy base. I could go on for ever, but some things seem petty, but when you stand in your kitchen, that cost thousands of pounds, it doesn't seem so petty. The electrics were passed three days prior to completion (how do they do that)? All in all, NEVER AGAIN.
