Good Points: quality product
Bad Points: hard sell ( usually several hours during which they will not take a simple 'NO' for an answer but try to wear you down with calls to the manager & offers of Showhome discounts )
General comments: On Sunday 21st June 2009, I was subjected to a 4 hour sales pitch (same routine as all the other victims. A high price, finally reduced down, after phoning his manager IF I signed up that night). Eventually I signed up for 12 units. I also signed credit agreements that I did not need - I wanted to pay cash. The salesman promised me that if I changed my mind, I could phone him the next day & the forms would be shredded. As soon as he left, I felt that I had been brow beaten into making the decision & was exhuasted & determined to cancel. The next morning, I went into the office to canceled the order. I spoke to both the salesman. I told them that I was giving notice that I wanted to cancel the order AND asked for my signed forms to be returned to me or shredded in front of me. They said that they would need them to process the salesman's payment for his pitch. I offered to put my cancellation in writing but he said that it was not necessary & that I had his word that the contract was canceled & that I would be receiving a letter of confirmation within the next few days.On Thursday I got several phone calls offering me the windows at a considerably reduced price. I asked to be allowed to think about it over night. The salesman said that he would phone me first thing the next morning. On Friday morning, I did not hear from the salesman, Instead, I got a call from the Divisional Office who told me that my order had been sent through as done & when could they send around the surveyor? I told her that I had canceled the order on Monday & she said that she would get the sales people to ring me. They did not.On Friday afternoon, I rang the office & spoke to a salesman. He said that it was Zenith's mistake & that he would sort it out for me & ring me back. He did not. Later that afternoon I rang the office again. He said that the matter was being dealt with by another member of staff who he could not reach BUT "trust me, I will sort it out for you"This morning ( Saturday 27th June ) I phoned the office again & spoke to someone who offered no apology but curtly said " .. you will have to take it up with Divisional Office. All the paperwork has been sent up to them, I no longer have it on file. I told him that I thought that I had been dealt with very badly & would be, again, forcefully canceling the order with the Divisional Office.I phoned & was told that it was customer services but they were closed during the weekend (reopening on Monday). I told the girl that an order that I had canceled on Monday had still been set throught & was worried that Monday was after the 7 days cancellation period. She told me that I have 14 days to cancel (but I have been lied to throughout my dealings with Zenith Staybrite so do not know if this is actually the case).I have sent a cancellation via email. I hope that this is the last that I hear of the matter but, somehow I doubt it.DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY INTO YOU HOUSE ...

Oh my Lord, why did'nt I find this board before inviting Zenith into my home?
Like everyone else, I expected a bit of a hard sell, but 3 hours was just pushing it. I told the guy I needed to cook dinner for my 90 year old mum, did he leave? NO.
Anyway, long story short, I ended up signing the contract for 2 windows, then found this site.
Now I have 5 days left to cancel. I have sent 2 emails, which it states I can do, I have also signed the contract and stated that I wish to cancel and will r ...

Window installed 2006 (tiles broken around the window which I replaced at my cost).
Within months the window sill had cracked. Zenith after about 10 phone calls sent a surveyor end 2007. Then a window fitter a few months later after many more phone calls. Window fixed (again damaged tiling broken which I replaced at my cost). After a further 8 months the window sill cracked again. Another 10 phone calls at least followed by a surveyor followed by many more phone calls chasing a fitter visi ...

Zenith Staybrite Windows are the worst company I have ever had the dis-pleasure of dealing with. Constantly trying to rip me off/expensive/intrusive. Impossible to get hold of if you have a problem.Terrible after sales - impossible to get hold of right person
Lots of tidying up to do after job done

I bought them over 5 years ago. We have had them out on a number of occasions - not due to faulty workmanship but just due to wear and tear on parts - Cat flap accidently broken by my sisters 2 year old, front door lock started getting a bit stiff to lock, over zealous postman, etc. On every occasion Zenith Staybrite Windows have been fast and repaired without hastle.

I inherited Zenith windows at the front of my house - a bay and two smaller bedroom windows which were newly fitted. I decided to go with them for three windows at the back and to have the guarantee transferred. I never received the guarantee for any of the windows. I now need two doors and have been getting quotes. A number of salesmen commented on my discoloured windows so I contacted Zenith and they came to give a quote for the two doors. They said the windows were not discoloured, just ...

i inherited zenith windows and doors from the previous owner, personally i can't stand upvc. i had the warranty passed on to me and was impressed when their repair man came and fixed the front door locks which were suferring due to wear and tear at almost the end of the 10 year warranty period. i was not impressed by the strength of the front door which apparently cost £1000 10 years ago but was recently kicked in by a burglar, it turns out the central panel was totally unreinforced and s ...

1st Zenith Staybrite salesman at my home one Sunday eve v recently for 3.5 hours. I hated that to get the deal I needed to tie-in to a finance deal & pay deposit that night. Withdrew. Had even more phone calls 3-4 a day at work, most inconvenient. Basically most staff just didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. 2nd salesman I thought was not pleasant, would not have wanted him in my home. I thought he was rude. Afterwards I got more phonecalls and I had to be very assertive, possibly rude ...

I've been watching this forum about Zenith Staybrite Windows for about 2 weeks now unsure whether to comment, but have decided to because I think the person/s that manage this website are biased they seem to take away all the best reviews and leave all the complainers! I'd first of all suggest using zenith and second of all to use a forum called BLAGGER because they seem to cater all sides of peoples opinions not just ONE! I actually preferred this website before I noticed the discrepencies in p ...

By far the best selection of products, yeah they're more expensive but it makes sense in the long run, we've had our windows fitted for 14 years. They look the same now as when they were put in so we've had many other products since. The plane difference is guarantees exclude things and warrantys cover everthing! If Zenith Staybrite can back that product up with a ten year warranty thats always been good for me. It says a lot about a company thats not prepared to give you a warranty.

I know these went into administration but are still working. They did arrive to do my work which was roof lining, but because they hadn't arranged for scaffolding couldn't do it. This was 7th Jan we are still waiting.

Having organized a consultation, salesman duly turned up and I agreed to have my windows fitted. On the said day fitters turned up 2 1/2 hours late, and then left with one window not fully fitted 'as the architect didn't inform us of problem'. Another appointment arranged for 4pm 23.11.07 and they turned up at 1pm, another appointment arranged for 8.30 Sunday (25.11.07) and they arrived at 8.00 and as I was in bathroom, naffed off 'as I wasn't available'
My whole experience of this organisatio ...

This was overall a truly horrible experience - the consultants were badly informed about their products, made a bad presentation and wasted time on unnecessary details like the security locks on the windows (not particularly pertinent in a third floor flat on a very busy road in central London unless Spiderman has taken to burglary). When they got round to quoting a price after an hour, they quoted me £6500 for one bay window. When I laughed out loud at this they offered me several discoun ...

What a shabby crew - unfortunately from the comments overall about Zenith staybright they clearly not meeting customers needs. Perhaps some honest trustworthy management rolemodelling would naturally flow through to front line staff. Not rocket science but possibly too difficult for deep rooted unprofessionalism such as this.

I was offered a quote for a garage door that would be fixed for 2 years. The salesman was supposed to see us at 7pm on Thursday, but he phoned to say he couldn't make it, and the appointment was re-arranged for the next day at 5pm. He didn't turn up. A manager from Staybrite Windows phoned at 5:50 to see if he was still with us. When we told him we were still waiting, he informed us that he had left for our house at 4:20. Anyway, having read these reviews, if they do contact us again I won't be ...

The salesman was two hours late for the consultation, despite having requested that my finance rush home from work so that they could give a quote for both of us (apparently a legal requirement). No apologies offered, salesman was inexperienced and arrived without his supervisor who took another 30 minutes to reach us before the consultation could start. Barely measured the window, did not show us any products, and did not stay to give a quote in person. Was promised a quote via telephone the ne ...

Company uses what I would call poor selling techniques.
Once in our house, we struggled to get rid of the rep for hours they will not take "no" for an answer.
Silly "I'll have to phone my boss to negotiate price" comment. Highly unattractive prices to start with and then what I would describe as cattle-market style negotiation and "this offer is valid only for today".
We decided to take business elsewhere.

We wanted 7 windows and 2 doors and where quoted a staggering £16,000! 10 minutes later he said we could have them for £10,000 then £8,500 and finally £6,500.
A massive £10,000 discount! We thought this was rather strange and therefore decided not to go with Zenith Staybrite Windows but the rep refused to take no for an answer, couldn't get him to leave until 11pm!
