Have used Barrhead exclusively for all our cruising and will continue to do so. Courteous and efficient staff prepared to go the extra mile to make thing go smoothly. After reading all the literature in the press etc we usually finish up phoning Barrhead telling them what we would like and when. They always come back with two or three or more suggestions and have never failed to come up with at least one which meets what we are looking for and within our budget range. Have recommended... Holiday arrangements covering hotel, flights and transfers were all first class.Interest level brilliant and we learned an amazing amount about the Chech Republic the history from early AD to the present time. Brollies were a necessity but the weather problems were fleeting and did not cause distraction or impinge on our enjoyment There was nothing we found cause to moan about. Booked this holiday quite late as my in-laws were already booked on the cruise. Their travel agent never contacted them after booking to remind or check if everything was o.k. Unlike yourselves. I appreciated you sending me information labels and the form to present at the docks to book us on quicker. In all you were better than Thomas cook and the in-laws have told them so. Have used Barrhead travel in Glasgow a few times. The cruise staff in particular really know how to put you holiday together. We have always gone for a personal tailor made holiday, which is a bit more work for the agent. They deal with EVERYTHING, flights, stop over hotel accommodation, transfers etc. they can recommend hotels from personal(or from other members of staff) experience. Wouldn't consider booking a holiday online when you can have the face to face experience with a knowledgable... (read more)

If all your stores are as caring as your Livingston store you will be scoring high with all cuatomers. This is already in original review but can only reiterate. We had to cancel a cruise holiday as hubby had to go into hosp for an operation. Hol cancelled, monies refunded no problems. Once we had the dates of the operation we wanted a week in the sun for relaxation and to put the waiting time in faster. We arrived at our hotel, in downtown Toronto, keen to get to our room, freshen up, then go exploring, however, what no one told us, was it was apparently hotel policy, to take a $400 deposit, even though our holiday had been fully paid months ago, this was something we didn't expect, and obviously affected our budget, think people should be made aware of this, also, don't expect free Wi Fi, I had to pay around $10 per 24 hours, therefore adding another extra expense, on the plus side, this... This holiday was a one off for my friend and I. The advisor from BT made it easy for us and got us what we wanted. The hotels were great and all in good locations. The car was just what we needed and we did over 1000 miles. All the help she gave us was most appreciated and as such we had a great time in California and Nevada. Booking with Barrhead was a very easy process. The girls were cheerful, helpful and professional. They returned phone calls very quickly and kept on top of the paperwork. I never had to chase them up. They gave information about other holidays which I wasn't aware of. Virgin flight was very good, entertainment and food excellent. Best carrier I have flown with. Rosen Centre hotel first class friendly helpful staff good facilities and eating places, Reds Deli in particular provided all day round service that was more than expected . Everything was perfect from the agent who booked our holiday, so experienced and her knowledge was excellent. She went the extra steps to ensure that everything we wanted was included. The flights were almost perfect, slight delay in Dubai. The transfers were all excellent, on time, good vehicles and drivers polite and well dressed. Hotels were again excellent. Barrhead listened very carefully to our requirements: ie a hotel near the beach, as we were travelling with 87-year-old Granny. The airport assistance worked well at both Glasgow and Malaga airports. This was a great short break, first time flying with jet2 and it was a great experience . The transfer coach was waiting when we arrived however we were on the coach for an hour before it left the airport this was a little annoying.
