I read about them last night in a free London paper, and thought I'd check it out. Yes, they are ethical in as far as they give 25% of the download fee to charity, but whether they pay royalties to labels and artists is very doubtful. I am yet to hear of any charity that has benefited from Ethical Downloads either.
They are based in the UK, but they operate out of Russia.
I think that this new 'ethical' site is ridiculous, and rather than getting positive press, someone should be highlighting the fact that it is an another MP3 site from our friends in Russia.

Nice to see someone giving something back to the community, not just raking it in from an e-commerce website - Ethical Downloads a good idea which should be commended.
