Good Points: I would recommend this company to people who want a no fuss, reliable and exzcellent service.

    Bad Points: None whatsoever.

General comments: I checked on phoning that this was not St Helens Glass, of which so much bad publicity has been written. This is not St Helens Glas.s. We had five windows and all of the soffits, barge boards, cladding etc done by them. They were extemely proffessional from start to finish. The sales were flexibles and good value, without being pushy, workmen were excellent and so far nor need to test after sales service, 3 months on everything is fine.

I am so glad this company is out of business. So many customers have lost thousands of pounds. I hope the owners and managers of this company are never able to set up in business again.

I wish I had never gone near this company but too late now and my warranty is absolutely useless.

I work in a service industry & have come across some dire companies in my time but St Helens Glass are something else! How have they managed to stay in business so long! I have been trying to ring them all week simply to get a copy of the Guarantee for work that they carried out on my property last year. I rang Monday & got through to someones voicemail who was 'away from his desk'. Since Monday I have called & mailed every day with no response - the lines are 'Busy'
This makes me sick consid ...

I didn't actually use St Helens Glass as I heeded the warnings in the numerous bad reviews but I wanted to speak to as many people in the UPVC game before making a decision on who to go with. SHG fall into the stereo-typical "double-glazing salesman". The salesman used the usual tricks like "I need to phone my boss" or "we have a promotion" or we can reduce the cost by x and x by doing this and that" - I felt that this was all mis-information. The salesman actually admitted that he had only ...

We have exchanged dozens of complaint letters, problem lists and received very poor service from St Helens Glass. 5 years on we have a conservatory that leaks in 4 places, with roof panels that don't fit. The finish on the building work was very poor. Trims, seals and decorative elements lasted about 2 weeks, and then started to drop off. Guttering discoloured, leaked and rapidly blocked because of inadequate run off. All roof panels became misted and green with algae.

Departments don't 'speak to each other at St Helens Glass, and there is lack of cooperation. We were told we had to take a loan out with GE money to obtain the 'discounts' they were offering. It was explained that in doing this, St Helens Glass would then pay the first 5 payments. We were issued with 5 vouchers, which we then have to return to them each time a payment is made by us, but it is proving very difficult to get them to honour the vouchers. We have had double glazing and a conserv ...

The sale for my conservatory was agreed on the basis that the job would be finished before Christmas, I am now told that it will be January; the sales rep told us that they make all of their own components so that they have contol - now I am told that the roof is delayed because it comes from a sister company owned by their owners. Trying to contact anyone by phone at St.Helens Glass in nearly impossible. I regret that I cannot recommend them to anyone

I arranged an appointment with St Helens Glass to get a quotation for some work I needed doing in my house a few days ago. I chose to ask them because I'd done a quick search on the internet and found few complaints compared to other glazing manufacturers.

The first appointment made was for an afternoon on a weekend at 3pm. 4pm arrived and the consultant hadn't turned up, so I rang to find out where they were. I was told by a call centre rep that they would look into the consultant's whe ...

St Helens Glass installed a conservatory for us and tried to finish it within two weeks. Six months later it is still unfinished. The floors are cracked, and there are gaps between the floor and the brick walls. They never answer the phones, and if you are lucky enough to get through, they won't call you back.
